My first character was Stone Quas a Stone/Stone tanker way back in Issue 1 and he was great but SLOW. It took me a week to make level 16 and I'm talking about playing for hours on end. Please remember that debt started at lvl 5 and xp was much harder to come by. Anyways, I finally got him to lvl 18 after about a year or so and deleted him as I saw no true future for him.
My favorite character is Shadow Hunter Q Energy/Energy blaster and he was my third and still with me today.
My first 50 was heavily pl'd the final 15 levels he is a Ice/Ice blaster.

Quote:I was wrong when I said that I had one open Story Arc, I had TEN. I had one mission. How many story arcs do you have open? Try clearing out a major story arc then go back to the Mendor.
Story Arc was the problem, I cleared one and was then able to talk to Mender Ramiel and do the missions.
Thanks all who responded.

I have a lvl 50 Plant Dom (that is still a villain) I have the Orous badges (and tried setting both as my title) and plenty of mission slots avail. I'm not on a current SF/TF of any sort nor in a AE mission and yes I do have Going Rogue.
Here is the question is anybody having an issue where he will not give you the View Your Future Memories (the fist Incarnate) mission?
I've sent in a bug report and I'm still awaiting to hear from a Senior Support Person, but I figured one or more of you might have had the issue and gotten it fixed or found a fix.
Thanks,

Quote:First make sure to download the latest GKey Profiler from the Logitech website.I was looking to do that actually, but I don't know how to bind a certain power to the keys. Any advice there? Should I just throw them into trays 2 & 3 so I can bind the Ctrl+ and Alt+ functionality, or is there another way?
Second use the Ctrl+ and Alt+ and bind the keys to what you want to use.
Third try using on the M1 as trying to use M2 & M3 just gets to confusing (at least for me.)
Fourth enjoy.

I'm not sure why people are saying that with some of the Devs and forum mods leaving that this game is dying. Sure people have left in the past most notably Jack Emmert aka statesman, Cuppa Jo, ExLibris and many many others. Sure there have been layoffs before. But this game is still going and going strong and many many players are coming back due to free fitness pool and the Incarnate system.
Back to the point of people (NC Soft staff) and why. First is we for the most part won't know the real reason for a popular person leaving unless they go someplace else and let us know why they left here. Secondly and more important, people leave jobs that they love everyday for many reasons: health, better pay, advance their skill set, location, medical and on and on.
Don't for one minute think that this game or any game is heading downhill just because a few people leave a job in close proximity to each other. Wait until there is an official Doom announcement then cry wolf.

First off if you looking for the greatness of the keyboard (I have the original G15) look at binding all of your G-Keys to fire off powers. The LCD and CoX have never been a great fit even though there have been a few programs written for it. If memory servers me correctly none of them are currently maintained.
Again find uses for the G-Keys (great for empathy healing and controllers/doms)

Sorry to see you go, hopefully you are going on to a nice new job that allows you to continue to grow your talent. Thanks for being one of the more "vocal" devs out there, it has allowed us to enjoy our game that much more.
We really need to start doing some in-game stuff for our devs/forum mod that leave this game. I think it would be really cool to give them a send off.
With that in mind let's gather together in Atlas Park under the statue on the Champion Server and have our heroes lineup and /e salute as Castle takes a goodbye walk and he send him off in style.

Just curious why is no Alpha slot showing?

Sorry but as a few have stated above it is WAY too late to get them back. Reroll them and enjoy the process of getting to know you character again. I have recently deleted several toons in anticipation of the new issue, and since I did it on purpose not on accident (which is basically impossible) I seriously doubt that they would put the effort into getting my characters back.

As a person who helped develop the art of herding (yes, I've been here that long) herding does still benefits while not necessarily still the fastest way of clearing maps, it is one of the safest. Keep in mind that when you are running +3/+4 teams of 6 or more tanks that herd maps really come into their own.
Also the so called "agro cap" has a flaw, it does not work, anybody on the Champion server who has been on a team with Tankless Job since the "cap" was put into place can tell you that I can herd entire floors, and yes, I do mean more than 18 enemies. I have done a mission that a person counted my herd and I had 42 enemies, and this does not count what came in after the initial amount of defeated enemies. Not every tank knows how to do this and I have passed the technique on to only a hand full of other players.
As mentioned maps play a crucial part in herding so lets stick with the office/warehouse layouts for this post. Sharp corners are great and allows for the most effective herds. As a tank I always try to announce what my plans are, and let the other players know if the plan changes. Such as a huge group in a small room that allows me to pull my current herd and add them without having worry about the safety of the other players. Players who jump the herd before it is fully gathered can actually break a herd up, thus wasting the time that the tank spent herding. If I've done my job correctly, I have a huge herd that allows my teammates to jump in take down most of the collected herd and then move on while I'm moving ahead and getting the next group setup. Rinse and Repeat. Again If I've done my job correctly I have prevented any members from dying. After all, it is all about loss vs. gain, if you die, you have been set slightly back.
Some outdoor and most cave maps are horrible for herding and I don't even try. As a herding tank you must know your role in a team structure. You can still have all the agro, and move from group to group even quicker, yes, and porssibly even clear a map faster than when trying to herd. Again, Map/Team/+Level/Team Size all matter here.
I have been part of a kill all ITF that was done in about an hour and a half, I've also been on one that took three hours. It all depended on the abilities of the tank.
With all that being said herding has it uses in the game and its place.
My finial conclusion:
Herding is faster on certain maps with certain tanks (players really do make a difference.)

My SG Paragons Super Friends was founded in 2005 and we quickly grew into on of the top SGs on the Champion Server maybe not in size max membership peak was around 50 however we have never been out of the top 75 and a few years after it was formed several (5) of us got together at GenCon 2007, 2008 (4), 2009 (6) and 2010 (2) we are planning on several of us getting together in 2011 (4-6). I have had several members to my house for a weekend, I've been to a members house and since three of the players are his friends they were there.
This does not count my friends who introduced me to the game (5). Nor does it take into account people who we met at the 2007 meet and greet and other players at the succeeding conventions.

Just a quick question for some old timers like myself. Was it Cupp or Cuppa Joe.
Rich the Old Guy -
Welcome to the game. If you head over to the Champion server give me a holler @cinkidd and I will do what I can to help you out and get you started there. Also if you have any general question that you need a quick answer too, send me a global tell and I will gladly help you out.

Gratz Zube!

Chuck is the da man! You must from now on refer to him as "Our friend Chuck"

Quote:I would like to thank Amily, Kahlan, Giulia Tofana, Cobalt Abyssean, Force of Oblivion, Bulwark of Darkness and Renaissance de in Veritas SG for helping me and my friend Chuck get the MoSTF done.I'm sorry
I couldn't make it at that time. How is tomorrow for you? Otherwise Sunday?
These folks made it look sick easy, and were very gracious to allow us to join them on their Vent server.
Thanks Again,

Quote:Dont get upset over getting your but beat the 1st time. All of the toons I have the Master badge on had to do it at least twice (more not because we do take chances).
If you pic a time and I am able to visit the forum before then, I can see if I am able to help our not.
I've done the STF about 15 times, only succeeded once, and that was not a master, out of the 15 times it was a master about 5 times.

Quote:If you had read all of my posts about this, you would have seen that we first tried to pull GW solo and we did, but once she was most of the way beaten down, the others suddenly were Johnny on the spot and kicked out butts.I'd like to help.
Just out of curiosity, why didn't you switch tactics and just pull Ghost Widow herself first, or Black Scorpion?

Quote:Stay I'm in, please let me know which day is best for you and we can get this thing rolling. I appreciate the help very much.Occasionally, their aggro gets linked. I haven't seen it in awhile and I'm not sure what causes it, but typically if you can't get a single pull and this is happening (which is what it sounds like in this case) your best bet is to have everyone log for 10 to reset the mission.
Fwiw, you do not have to have set bonuses to complete this TF, I've done it on teams that don't have them. However, without set bonuses the difficulty goes up exponentially, and the chances of getting a master are even slimmer.
If you want to try again early-ish on Friday (have plans at 9pm est) or anytime on Saturday, I can be there, and I may be able to recruit some other people to help out. May take a couple tries, but I've successfully completed master runs on this TF probably 100 times or more.
Thanks,
