killing me though, because for the life of me I cannot remember how to get there...
edit: found it. yay me...
(and supposed to be an undiscovered easter egg area in RWZ too) -

Teaming tougher? Not at all a surprise.
Test server has been packed... not a coincidence that overall Live activity is down and some of the more active players in particular are quiet. -
-
Aren't there rare and occasional stray contaminated that spawn in Galaxy City sometimes.... or what is it that appears there and looks the same?

Quote:With Energy resist capped, tough, and good resists across the board the durability is nice. But mine is /DM, so I get another heal in my chain. Boosted health and regen, and the +regen in energize is a fabulous spike in ability to put the green bar back up - he can take a serious pounding. He also shrugs off any defense debuffers (Cims, etc) without any real stress.with the relatively recent changes to energize, I am definitely going to also be looking at adding some extra regen and health, along with recharge to have that up as often as possible. in fact, that change is what is making me think of taking another stab at an elec. I tried one when they first came out and really didn't feel like it stacked up well to most of the other sets. I wanted to give electric melee a shot and like the synergy it could have with the armor.
but electric reminds me a bit of my fire tanks where I relied on health and the excellent heal in that set. it did well but it did so much better when I added some defense on it instead of relying on the resists and heal. -
hmmm. I've experienced my elec/ tank to be one of my most durable... and made the decision not to enh for defense... and went after regen and health. Been a breeze on most foes.

First, believe it or not, it is nice to hear from the marketing side of things - as often as we've heard mention of it.
Second, one thing I noted was there was no clear indication of whether Black Pebble was a hero or a villain...
Third, in terms of meaningful suggestions - what got me to try the game was winning a demo disc at a gaming con. Not just a code to go download with, but an actual installation demo disc, quick and painless to dive in and try the game. It worked and I've never left.
Fourth, there is no fourth thing.
Fifth, I know in game ads are a tough subject, but I for one left them turned to support the effort to earn shiny coins to help pay for new in game fun. Based on the limited run, I think they could be designed in appearance better to fit within the game, but given the right product mix they certainly do not disrupt anything. But, as suggested earlier, if not going to be used for real sales.... then turn the tech over to the art folks and let them run mad with in game stuff to raise the immersion bar.
Sixth, I found caught the subtle humor in the CoH two letter embarassment on the Moon comment. very funny.
edit to add a seventh: Where is the midwest con presence? GenCon, Origins, ComicCon chicago, etc... big cons. no where near oceans. lots people... -
Quote:Um, I don't see it Memphis_Bill, at least in terms of me branching anyway. I agreed with the OP that more purple recipes is a good idea. I discussed a possible bad point of market changes, but conceded I did not have enough data to know what the real impact may be... Then thought it would be a bad point for all exactly the same bonuses. I was trying to have a direct and cogent contribution to the discussion of adding more purples. A conversation that I support taking place and hope to see progress on implementing in game some day.Not a matter of "being in agreement 100%," but just keeping it focused somewhat instead of branching off into other things. Makes discussing good *or* bad points about it more of a chore.
Yet, I was chastised when I wasn't the only one with my opinions. Looking back I see a note on how anyone can use hecatomb in brawl, now a conversation on whether sleep purple set is useful... I was certainly more on topic. I am just confused I guess. -
Quote:Right, I understand that.
This thread is NOT for that purpose. Feel free to start your own thread with that suggestion.
OK...
I was offering input and point of view to your discussion. I in no way meant offense, or was attempting to be rude.
Apparently, I was unaware that only those in agreement 100% were allowed to participate in this open forum. I guess I'll just move along. -
Quote:Right, I understood what you meant.I want everyone to have the same set bonus opportunity (10% global recharge for example) as everyone else. Just want more options for different power types is all.
I'm in the other camp. I'd rather have a broader mix of build designs rather than everyone chasing the same mystical goals. -
Quote:I can't really say for certain... I would suspect (and why I asked the question) that the available supply of existing sets decreased, and as such their price in the markets went up. Given all the wailing over current purp prices, I think that would just aggravate things. What was the impact the last several times they've added previously non-existent sets? (see also Accurate To-Hit Debuff, Accurate Defense Debuff, Accurate Heal, Taunt, Recharge Intensive Pets, and - oh yes - purples themselves?)
Though, I could be wrong there. It is possible that as folks swapped out existing sets for the new shiny they may have released back into the supply and driven prices down... hhmmm...
For clarity's sake, I could never figure out why the purples didn't include heal and the other basic types in the first place. So, on the whole I support the suggestion. But the fact remains, there may be a broader market impact beyond whether certain characters can spruce up their numbers the way they'd like.
Oh, and I would prefer a new mix of bonuses over keeping the same standard purp ones.
Ah, I had not considered a drop rate change... but I doubt one would occur. -
What would be the impact on existing supply/demand in adding more recipes to water down the current availibility?
-
The structure you put in place for the suggestion, looks sound.
So, yeah, its doable.
I would like to see a dark secondary for Dominators, probably before Blasters. But that is just personal preference. I can see why it would a boon to aid blasters, so it makes sense. -

Quote:TYThe 5870. Hands down. Dual, at this point, won't benefit you a great deal for gaming (may not be long off though).
Quote:Alienware, the King of overpriced Hardware!
You could build the exact same spec system for roughly 2/3 what they charge. -

OK, I am not sure what planets aligned... but the spousal unit has tentatively approved a new rig.
I am examining some Alienware setups in my comparison shopping.
Dual 1GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 5670 CrossfireX Enabled
or
Single 1.8GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 295
or
Single 1GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 5870
(also an option for Dual 1GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 5870, but don't think I can go that far) -
Striga Island... There are large spawns of wolves standing around to be accolade fodder during the day, and after nightfall the vampyri line up to take their place.
-
Biggest thing I got out of this is that there are undiscovered portions of RWZ out there.
Other than that, little new.
(Oh, and some ppl are never happy. but I should have known that, I guess.) -
I haven't been back to DA since I picked up a virus from an ad there... I did install Chrome, though. I could use that. Thanks for the reminder.

If I have to refresh my browser one more time to see whether the beta section appears for me or the Demon Summoning video is loaded (so I can watch it in better quality)...

Quote:yep.Oh, wait, this is a release arc from when they were still doing vote badges.
Quote:There's an unfortunate amount of "rot", where previously sound arcs break (catastrophically or no) because of changes down the line. You can take it as consolation or not, but any given arc is much, much easier to test now that you can just godmode through it.
thanks again.
