    Emp Defense

As an Empath, with the secondary of ice, does it make more sense to build for Ranged Def, with a fair amount of Energy/Neg Energy or go with Smash/Lethal defense with some Melee def?

I know there isn't a right answer to this question, just curious what the word on the street is.

However, when we talk about actions which affect markets, while they can be called "manipulating" in the broader English sense of "manipulating" a thing as "having some effect on it", they are not "manipulating" in that narrower sense.
From the Wikipedia entry listed above

Rent seeking generally implies the extraction of uncompensated value from others without making any contribution to productivity...

I'm not saying its bad, it is what it is.

    Hint, try listing smarter.

And this is where I stumble, I'm not seeing the flipper produce anything, so I'm not seeing them increase supply. I see that they reduce the number of things that sell for less then the equilibrium, but I'm not seeing where they can help reduce pricing back down to equilibrium, say on double xp weekends. Some of that simply has to do with there only being a last 5 listing.

When selling, the same thing applies, only you'll accept a lower price in exchange for consistency, usually.

Why not simplify this question to "why do some people prefer not to gamble?", since that's the question you're really asking.
I'm assuming irrational actors in the economy, hence the Iron selling for a million inf every so often.

Isn't that manipulating the market? Isn't that what 'rent seeking' profit is?

Why wouldn't you sell anything at the store, I mean you can also carry 10 enhancements?

Do you have proof that flippers are increasing the number of listings? It seems to me they are simply buying something and raising the price, keeping the number of listings the same.
Is there evidence that people don't have enough slots to sell everything they want to?
If anything, the people who list things for absurdly large sums that don't sell are increasing supply, not that that's a good thing.

They're ensuring that there's a steady supply of bids on that salvage, so I get my market slots back immediately. Instead of waiting for the next person to come along, I get an instant sale. The only time that sale goes to a flipper is when the flipper was bidding more than anyone else was when I listed. So every time I sell to a flipper, I come out ahead of where I would have been without the flipper. If I sell to a non-flipper, I'm probably getting a more stable price anyway, because the flippers have nudged that item's price towards a stable center point.
Why is selling for a more stable price of any value to the seller? Why not simply list something for what you think its worth. You're playing the passive style that Nethergoat seems to dislike. Do the work, reap the rewards,

Cool, thanks, was above lvl 7 and doing AE tickets, thanks for the quick replies.

    Inventory Full?

Why when my recipe inventory isn't full, does the ticket vendor tell me my inventory is full when you I go for reward rolls?

figured it out, just go to fort trident and click on the box of junk
  13. How does it work if I throw the call to arms def proc in gang war? Will it trigger for 2 minutes every time I summon them, or does it work all the time? And will it affect all my pets?

    Rewards

Is the xp rewarded for defeating standard critters the same in AE as out? It seems reduced, but I've been gone for a bit.

And I understand the reductions in custom critters and farming.
  16. Thanks for the help, new question. How much bigger do I need to make my plot to be able to add more salvage storage. I'm maxed out the amount allow for the begining plot, and it seems that if I upgrade by one size I still get the 'you've reached the max allow workshop for this plot' message.
  17. I received my 2 year vet reward comic covers, placed them on the base, then decided I dont like them where they are. Is there any way to remove them without destroying them?

Also what happens when you make you base a larger plot? Does everything survive and you just receive more space?
  18. I didnt read most of the thread, so if this has been covered I apologize.

My buddy started play this week, and we got him to 50 and are now powerleveling his crab, but since mitos are gone I was wondering if lt's or bosses are faster, and what level I should set it to 52 or 54? Any responses would be great, I'm not good at math.
