1.) Hate to tell you this but you pick your last power at 48, so you are going to have to spec if you want MT.
2.) With all issues and some updates you get a freespec, so any new issue that comes out you can count on a freespec.

I am making an assumption here based on your forum reg date, but don't forget that the 9 month vet reward gives a respec to every character on your account. Check the veteran badges and see if you have earned the 'Dependable' badge. There should be a button beside it to claim the respec.

You get your last power at 49, not 48. You can also run the treespec

Im lvl 40, Can Treespec be soloed or how many teamates should I have? I read above 44 and have never done this mission you can do the lowest lvl 24 treespec 3x and the last 3x. Thats cool.

Example
You can do the low level treespec 3x
or
You can do the low level, mid level, high level treespecs 1x each
or
You can do the low level once and the high level twice
It doesn't matter which ones you do, you can only accept the respec reward three times total. If you're interested in merits, they are all on separate timers, so you can do them each daily.
I don't think any build would be able to take out all the vines solo. A small team can blow through the treespec easily. With my VG we would run teams of 4 and do just fine.
Well I was able to pick-up a power at level 49. I got my Metal Training back and wondered how in the heck I could have lived without it being that with those melee attacks, I needed as much speed as possible to take those bosses down. This being my first Widow, I can say it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be going in and doing some big time damage on these bosses and such. Now, I need to build a Bane and see how that goes. Wish me luck. : )
