Little known fact when Sly wrote this movie he wrote it as a two part story. So this isn't anything new.. there will be a sequal.

For the record I don't care about reviews.. this movie is promoting violence and 80's action. A lot of the 80's action movies got terrible reviews but were fun as hell. I am expecting this movie to be FUN , Mindless, over the top action that would make CRANK look at it and say DAMN! If Crank could get a lot of box office money I am sure this movie will too. I wouldn't worry.. just 2 more days..

How hard is it to respect one another? If people are calling each other out.. the channels are there to provide a service to people who are looking for teams, events etc (this is hard to do when drama is there attacking people).. I mean if one wants to curse, talk about porn, be "Adult" etc then they're plenty of alternatives.

Just note that they're a number of other channels, SG channels, Private channels that you could join to do this thing or Vent, Team Speak, etc.

But from a JU perspective the channel has its rules posted here: (Also its in the MOTD of the channel so there is no confusion)
    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...90#post2369290

JFA has there rules posted here: (even though I was under the impression that it wasn't a family channel)
    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=214762

If someone got silenced for not following the rules then there really isn't much excuse its listed here on the forums and in the MoTD. Really the rule is to simply RESPECT one another.. how hard is that? I mean isn't that how Adults are supposed to do anyways? What ever took place should have been kept out of channel.

You set Rules, I understand, you all want to control the masses, you want "Order Within Chaos", but when none are "Playing The Game", why is the downtime of what people do considered wrong?
What to do on downtime? I dunno.. play the game? If you have issue with someone it should be taken to tells, or in another area, but not in channel. Its counter productive to people who are not in downtime and actually playing. They're plenty of channels on justice were people can talk the way they want currently. Like Heretics for example. Which I believe we are both apart of. I could be wrong. I know of other channels that do this too but I can't post them here.. but they ARE alternatives already.

From the chat logs that were taken from last night it seems that there was someone (not allowed to give names per forum rules) that was attacking another person, and then others got involved. This does NOT seem very ADULT to me.. it in actuality sounds pretty childesh, is against the channel rules and I believe harassing someone in general is against the EULA if I remember correctly.

Here is an example of what took place last night
    EXAMPLE:
Why call out someone in channel that you know has you on global ignore? (just one of the senerios that took place) What purpose does that serve? Other than having a desperate need for attention? Everyone see's them attacking that person in channel EXCEPT the person being attacked? Is this the ADULT thing you're talking about? Again just sounds pretty childesh to me. I still have no idea what purpose that served..

If you take issue or were silenced and want to talk more about it then feel free to PM me. If you were silenced in JFA I am sure any mod there wouldn't mine talking to you in PM's either.

Note* there is a thread a few rows down that talks about what to do when harrassed. If we are all adults here then that shouldn't happen.

I dunno I mean you joined these channels because they have a healthy active player base in them right? The main rule enforced is to respect one another. Its really not that hard to do. I don't believe ANY global channel is responsible for killing the game. Again you have alternatives.

Just to clarify I am not trying to flame anyone here, but if you want to start up a third channel then good luck with that. I am not trying to stop you from doing so, but just trying to understand the Adult stuff that you speak is all, since a lot of the adult stuff in the chat logs were not very adult at all and simply more or less childesh acts. Once again I am merely talking from a JU perspective.

In any event I am sure/positive that a simple tell or PM to a mod would have stopped this type of thing. But seems like a few people wanted drama. I wasn't online at the time, but if anyone has issue with how something was handled feel free to PM me about it.

Anyone that takes issue with anything I have said here feel free to PM me on these forums.

p.s. Please don't take this as a sneer against the idea for a 3rd channel. That's not my intentions in this post. I simply wanted to straighten out the JFA part.
Mermie he was merely lumping both in the same catagory since both have the same rule about keeping things in tells and to respect one another, while keeping drama out of channel. I understand what he meant I don't think it was literal. But you are correct JFA is not advertised as a Family Channel. (I mentioned that above before reading your response)

The only thing that scares me is the reworking of the properties they keep talking about.

Favorite title was Negation followed by Sojourn and Sigil.
I agree with all this, I also liked "The First" & "Negation"

Remember that Avatar: the Last Airbender sequel that Nickelodeon inadvertantly mentioned when looking for animators? They've officially announced it -- Avatar: The Legend of Korra will air (hee hee) next year, and be helmed by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the original creators. As for the plot, here's what THR has to say:
Tentatively titled "The Legend of Korra," the animated series will premiere in 2011 and focus on the next Avatar, a young female called Korra.

"Mike and Bryan have imagined a compelling new story inspired by the Airbender mythology that they so brilliantly crafted when the TV series began," said Brown Johnson, president, animation, Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group. "This new avatar is not only a girl, but also hot-headed, independent and ready to take on the world."

"Korra" is set 70 years after the events of "Airbender" and sees Korra moving to Republic City to master her final element - air. With the guidance of the previous avatar Aang's son Tenzin, she has to fight crime and face a growing anti-bending movement that threatens to rip the metropolis apart.
And Superhero Hype seems to have found a longer version of the press release, which includes...
The Legend of Korra takes place 70 years after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender and follows the adventures of the Avatar after Aang - a passionate, rebellious, and fearless teenaged girl from the Southern Water Tribe named Korra. With three of the four elements under her belt (Earth, Water, and Fire), Korra seeks to master the final element, Air. Her quest leads her to the epicenter of the modern "Avatar" world, Republic City - a metropolis that is fueled by steampunk technology. It is a virtual melting pot where benders and non-benders from all nations live and thrive. However, Korra discovers that Republic City is plagued by crime as well as a growing anti-bending revolution that threatens to rip it apart. Under the tutelage of Aang's son, Tenzin, Korra begins her airbending training while dealing with the dangers at large.

I had no idea this was happening O.o

WOW seems like you all already knew

I can agree with you there, it did add a bit of depth to the character that was missing in the comics.

I think that is a misconception.. the Internet folks taged that on Tom. There is no where were Tom stated he DIDN'T want to be superman or be called Superman. Hell in season 2-3 he had an interview with Carson Daily saying that others were calling him Superman and he even interviewed to be in the Superman Movie (that would have cancelled Smallville in Season 3 if he took it but due to scheduleing conflicts he had to turn it down because of the show). .. here is the video of it
    http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x52...rso_shortfilms

If he did not want to be superman then why interview for it? or take the role of Clark Kent.. he simply didn't want to rush into superman.

Now that he has a background in being a director and producer and other movie roles.. he probably feels more comfortable now than he did back when he was wet behind the ears sort of speak.
