Let's see how it does at the box office before planning a sequel

As much as I really do not care, I have a feeling this will do decently in box office the opening week. DVD release will also sell well.
As for the sequel... what's he going to do, bring in Betty White?
I completely support the reason for this movie. I also endorse the idea of a sequel if they have Stallone team with Schwarzenegger to rescue Stallone's team or a portion of his team. My 80's action movie love knows few bounds.

For the record I don't care about reviews.. this movie is promoting violence and 80's action. A lot of the 80's action movies got terrible reviews but were fun as hell. I am expecting this movie to be FUN , Mindless, over the top action that would make CRANK look at it and say DAMN! If Crank could get a lot of box office money I am sure this movie will too. I wouldn't worry.. just 2 more days..

"If this does perform, I think it will open a little more liquidity in funding the sequel," he said. "I have an idea ready to go. People think doing a sequel is easy, but it's not because you need the element of surprise. I'm going to try to do something that's quite radical."
Stallone wouldn't elaborate what that "radical" idea might be, but it seems this sequel could happen, with box office tracking suggesting the film will open over $30 million this weekend. Stallone also revealed that on-set injuries - including a broken neck - bode well for the success of the film.
"It's a good omen," he explained. "I didn't get a hangnail on the set of Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot."
The Expendables comes to theaters August 13th, 2010 and stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, David Zayas. The film is directed by Sylvester Stallone.
