Quote:you will be fineHey folks,
Hope all is well.
Long story short: I bought a PSU that has dual 12V lines, but the micro ATX board only requires a singular 12V line to run "On-Board" graphics.
I totally forgot to think about this when I bought the PSU in a hurry. Did I goof?
Thanks in advance. -
Quote:Where are you getting that -340 figure from? venom grenade is -20 X 8 is -160 even if you add the -res power from leviathan you still only get upto -280 where's the last 60 coming from? This, completely. 8 Jinrazuos would be ridiculous. -340 Res on hard target, 8 sturdy Crabs and 48 spider pets all at capped damage and insane def/to-hit through stacked leadership. Crab durability, higher damage scaler, and mass pets will completely blow any corrupter super team out of the water by far.
-
Quote:-tohit would be a waste Grant Cover and FP should soft cap all and def debuff resist cap all as well(probably) I think StJ would be a better option decent aoe capability and additional damage potential from rib cracker's -res X 8I was trying to think of a strong melee team and how about 8 DM/Shield scrappers (or Brutes). With the -to hit from the primary and Grant Cover and Fighting Phalanx will make the team really hard to get hit.
but that still woun't touch force multiplier "superteams" -
Remind me again Is blizzard a non-crashing nuke like full auto?

Quote:A huntsmen team could do 320% -res to a single target before counting the -res procsA team of 8 crab spiders would be pretty devastating. They would easily be at their defense cap(incarnate defense cap at that), and could easily be damage capped on top of it. They can debuff resistance to the tune of 160%, which is nothing to sneeze at either.
I'm too lazy to do the math as to whether they would outdo a corrupter superteam with all fire blast, since that the set to beat. The higher damage scalar on the crabs might give them the edge, but it's hard to say.
Nice thing about the crabs would be no offense toggles to worry about. You just move in and start blasting. -
the -res upto 120% from one player iirc is why I chose /sonic for my only defender instead of the same setup for a corrupter multiply that by 8 and your hitting the stacking limit many times over which seems kind of wasteful

Quote:I've played around with skipping it on tank and brute builds in Mids but It's arguably worth keeping to slot the pvp -res and other pvp setsRight now, my StJ/Nin Stalker is following, or trying to follow the same pattern of attacks as my KM/Nin Stalker. I'm trying to see if I can setup Shin Breaker to follow Initial Strike and Heavy Blow, because I dropped Sweeping Cross.
Is Sweeping Cross something to drop, or keep? I won't be able to slot good enchancements on Spinning Strike, and I feel I could use the PBAoE enchancements for Sweeping Cross to get more defense, but I barely get a good multi-hit with it! At most, 2 enemies if I'm lucky.
Is Sweeping Cross worth keeping or not? -

I'm not gonna complain about getting an xp booster for free, I usually forget to use mine though lol
Quote:make it a $1 bill scenario and it becomes appropriateReally? The studio is giving us something, at no cost, and people are still complaining about it?
No, no that seems entirely apt and not hyperbole at all. Are you sure you're aware what that word means? Maybe it's analogy that's tripping you up? Because, it all fits. Like, perfectly. I cannot think of an instance this week that could fit that analogy more perfectly than this particular situation. They have given us something free and it has been nitpicked. That is completely analogous with the twenty dollar bill scenario. The actual value doesn't matter, they are giving you something at no cost to yourself and someone has found fault with it. That is the entire premise of the twenty dollar scenario. No matter what the company does, however they do it, someone in the fanbase will find fault and even if its 'fixed' someone else will find fault with the fix. It's an unpleasable fanbase. Like this is a textbook example of it. -
Quote:What happens when your confused clones use their confusion power on each other? Does it reconfuse them and effectively cancel the prior confusion or does it just increase the confusion magnitude?I initially had a fully ioed mind/psi dominator before I went crazy one night and deleted a few too many characters. However I am having difficulty deciding on which character to remake. I love the controls of a mind dominator. Nothing like doing the clones arc where your 8 identical clones are all confused tk'ing each other around the room.
However I can't help think that I maybe a more offensive style would be a better end game option as in other similar games I have a psychic they are more offensive in nature. I am making this character so I can play through all the arcs that have been added in the past few issues for lower levels.
Any suggestions to what you personally feel is the best or what your own personal experiences are?
Thanks in advance fellow forumites. -
As in greatest balance between survivability and damage with a focus on damage. For this thought exercise we're assuming top tier builds and no Incarnate powers
I'm pretty sure force multipliers are the only ones that need apply
I'm thinking:
-Fire/Sonic since Fire/ is high damage, the rain scourges and it doesn't have any gimicks with a stacking limit. I'm thinking (with no math to back it up) that /Sonic from 8 players can get a target to the -res cap(-300), be resistance capped themselves along with the def cap that they can reach with 8 maneuvers and passable slotting.
-Bot/Traps can pretty much nullify the regeneration rate of anything/everything and be many times over the softcap with just SOs nevermind a top tier IO build, so the lack of def debuff res won't matter to a team of 8 of them, holds and stuns would be irrelevant and if needed their regen rates would be through the roof and as a group they could lower res by up to -320% + achiles -20 + pvp -20
-Fire/Traps for much of the same reasons as listed in the 2 above -

Do they lose their + value?

Quote:I wouldn't mind that, they shouldn't either. If they remove staffs desirability so much so that a given player no longer wants to have access to it then so be it, give a points credit so that the player can spend those points on something else and remove access to staff and all toons using that set. Most people wont return it because they still enjoy it or for concept reasons. It's about customer satisfaction which should be strove for.So the distinction is how many people are aware of the change?
Systems in an MMO get nerfed and buffed on an ongoing basis. That's their nature. If they nerf a power in the Staff set, do they need to offer refunds? If they know right now that they are going to nerf it, do they need to pull it off the market in the interim? -
Quote:If what your saying is true then I guess timebomb won't proc either not that anyone want's that powerSo Trip Mine, Seeker Drones, and Omega Maneuver don't work with procs. The common denominator here is that they all Self Destruct/SilentKill immediately when triggering their power.
If I had to guess, the reason procs aren't working is because the proc chance calculation comes in to play slightly after the SilentKill portion on the caster so it just never calculates, well because the caster is dead. The reason Poison Trap DOES work with procs is because the power summons a second PseudoPet called Poison Gas and if you look at the numbers on that, the SilentKill has a 30 second delay. So essentially "Poison Gas" lingers around for a bit and during that time it applies any proc chances. http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...aps_Poison_Gas
It sounds to me like the fix on this would be to make Trip, Seeker, Omega, and I'm guessing Time Bomb work with procs is to add a small delay (1 sec?) to the SilentKill aspect and that should allow proc calculations to trigger. -
Quote:I've said this before I got up to the head GM. He toed the same company line as everyone else Phil/Synapse says it was "bugged" and now it is fixed therefore I don't get a refundIt doesn't matter what a GM said. Firstly, they are notorious for being misinformed.
Quote:Secondly, they don't set policy. -
Quote:Thx, you learn something new everydayI think the short text description incorrectly lists just the positions. Mids and the in game power details list everything except psionics IIRC.

Quote:I don't know if rommy's sword attacks deal negative energy damage but he is no less a warshade than statesmen and recluse are incarnatesWell, when a roman warrior and a Nictus love each other very much...
He is not a warshade, by the way. He is an NPC arch-villain that has a couple fluffy pets and special weapons. He doesn't get access to all of the powers warshades do, and even then his powers are not "channeled through his weapons." Comparing them in meaningless. -
Thx I was wondering about that

proccing on trip mine could be broken like it is with seeker drones ie doesn't happen. Does trip mine seem to proc whatever you slotted for interface?

Quote:2 and 3 for me but since I have 8 months worth of game time cards I'll be around for awhile. There's really only 3 options for us:
1. roll with it
2. unsub
3. not buy any more SBEs
Which one we choose depends on how we view what they did. For me they created a complete lack of trust in them that they will stand behind their product. They messed this up royally. The only good customer service model would be to at least refund a customer's Paragon Points and remove the SBEs from the customer's inventory.
You have no idea how badly I wanted the purple PPMs before they did this to perf shifter I would have gladly traded my money for that performance like I did with the rest of the PPMs but now i'll have neither after i24.
This is a situation that has gone from poor form(Perf Shifter) to bad faith(upcoming ppm nerf)
Quote:Not only do they not do that, they put out another set of SBEs which people were saying were overpowered.
I guess my point is that you and Uber are arguing over the first time as if this were a one time thing and that's not really what is going on. That they refused to refund your points and they turned around and did it again shows me they lack the character to stand behind their product.Quote:
It really doesn't matter what they can or cannot do as much as what they did and continue to do.
