  1. This is impressive and very welcome news for teams. Even better than no sidekick tetris is no more chasing the mentor or sidekick in order to stay alive. However:

Could we please get options to turn off outleveling and sidekick to the mission level? Isn't being able to do more content considered good for customer retention?

I very much HATE the outleveling system and don't understand why it exists. With the super-sidekicking system it could become impossible to store lower level arcs and do them at their level by inviting a person to exemplar you.

It is often necessary to turn off XP just to complete a single NPC's missions if you team, and with even more XP at lower levels that will become increasingly necessary. I just started a warshade and found I had to turn off XP even while soloing at 1-4. Being able to avoid such tweaking would be far more enjoyable.

    Thanks for reading.

Champions DOES do it, apparently. Not only do you get 4 stances, but 3 builds.
  3. Stances: combine tanks, scrappers, and brutes into one AT that can use any of the 3 styles.

That would be a better way to do it starting over, but a more cottage rule compatible system might be a stance that lets a tank trade defense for offense.

Alternatively, gauntlet could get an inherent chance to stun, giving tankers control, which would make them more capable of stacking with each other.

    This.

I recommend you go scrapper or brute. They are quite similar.

Here is how it works with numbers:

Offensively, there are what their attacks are multiplied by:

    Tank: 80%
Brute: 75% times fury bonus (at about 80 fury, they equal or better scrappers)
    Scrapper: 115% plus crits
Stalker: 100% plus lots of crits

Tanks have the most defense and HP, and a 90% resist cap.
Scrappers have 3/4 what a tank gets, and a 75% resist cap.
Brutes have scrapper defenses, with higher HP and can be buffed to tanker caps if teaming.

Regulating markets is just as much of a republican thing. Republicans do not stand for less regulation, just kinds or regulation that benefit different groups.

That. It is a product of controls being introduced after heroes.
  11. Teleport is also the only travel power that does not benefit from the jump pack.

And it is a total joke in PVP now.

Since fly and its prerequisite hover were buffed, and SS got the jump pack and raptor pack, teleport has gotten progressively less balanced.

The first thing that should be done to fix it is to adjust its hover time by distance to ground. Its hover would be increased, but supressed if within 50ft of ground.
  12. Replace or add to every use of debt prot with end enhancement!

I see you've changed your mind... again.
That reminds me of some people who set up a RP alliance on Virtue way back after i12 because i13 would involve the coming storm... and then they said the same about i15.

  15. How do you read post edit histories?
  16. Combat, most of that sounds awesome. If you have any skills that could contribute to making such a game, PM me.

Don't be dissuaded by community reaction. After reading suggestion replies and discussions of gameplay, and just now this topic, the fact is that the community has many who are hostile to any innovation or idea that is not CoH with more polish, and a shocking loyalty to the various design crutches that make up traditional MMO conventions.

If you polled the community for which they'd want first, revamped gameplay that is dramatically more tactical and interesting while eliminating tedium, or the ability to color powers, the latter would win by a landslide.
  17. It would be cool, but just how would they deal with global name conflicts?
  18. Fail.

At numerous times there were freezes at virtue confirmed by entire teams, no exceptions, and many people saying the same thing with help and broadcast.

Just because some of you were not online during those or at different servers does not mean anything. He may be experiencing issues at his end but these are so widespread that they just gave the players ANOTHER double xp weekend.

These flames would not be here if the OP was not belligerent, but it does not make them more credible.

Power Boost? What does that do for a blaster who isn't elec or ice?

Since I don't need any exp with any of my main toons, I'm thinking of starting a 100% PVP build and getting it to a high level with double XP.

I'm guessing that blasters are the way to go with a 100% PVP build. What other ATs are competitive?

The primries rank as psy, sonic, and fire, from what I've heard. What about secondaries? Does mental compete in any way with EM? Is EM just popular for TF and BR or is there more to it?
  22. You can use the booster packs with any origin you know?

I sure would not mind being able to respec origins for concept purposes though.
  23. But... now they are just pandering to the lowest common denominator!

CURSE YOU! Curse you lowers who dare to subscribe without memorizing 3 doors in an obscure zone! You have created extreme annoyance for your betters!
  24. Just to be contrary:

    Marketeers DO raise prices.

What? Didn't people who know what they are talking about, including Smurphy, make a very good case that they do not, and back it up well?

Yes, it's true that marketeers do not, overall, raise the equilibrium price. They may even make it more reasonable by reducing inflation through market fees.

However, marketeers make drops in prices less extreme by buying low priced supply. A patient buyer has to compete with marketeers for chances to take advantage.
