Mine were blinking like crazy on test on Monday night. I figured out that it relates directly to the number of buffs you have, but since they were blinking, I couldn't count them.

Quote:I knew it wasn't over the money, but yeah, apparently she'd been planning on it... since the big fight we had the night before. Yeah, she's kind of impulsive.Chad it still sucks, especially if you weren't expecting it, but if she "needs some space" right now she was either planing it for a while or if she really split for over the money then you're better off any way. Of course she could always just need some space and things will be cool down the road.
We're also officially broken up now. While I recognize logically that it's for the best to separate myself from someone who behaves that way, it still (seemingly, to me) came out of nowhere, and I'm still kind of in shock over it. After all, we were looking at renting a townhome together in less than a month.
I ended up unable to perform my job today, so I came home and now I'm packing her stuff up instead. -
BAB is a member of the Freedom Phalanx in the future where Recluse conquers Paragon. That doesn't mean he's a FP member now.

I'm buying Street Justice over and over until my points run out!

Quote:From this thread about Comic Con: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=266699We've all been more concerned about whether they remember to relocate Jack Wolf from Galaxy City
Is that him in City Hall? Looks like him, but it's a ways off, so I can't be sure... -
Quote:These have both been accessible via Ouroboros since it launched in Issue 11.ok... What will happen to the old tutorial badges? I know that the Contaminated badge can be obtained by slowly killing the contaminated in RV when the zone is under villain control.
What about the jailbird badge?
Can the devs create an instance to obtain that badge temporarily access it on our older toons? -
Time Manipulation is included for VIP subscribers (that is, anyone who will have access to tonight's starting round of beta), and Beam Rifle and Street Justice are apparently available for purchase in the store.
Z said that access to Street Justice would be time-limited, but made no mention of a limitation on Beam Rifle other than "it should be available."

As a shortcut, you can also type the following command, or bind it to a key or macro it:
/toggle incarnate -
Quote:Sorry, that was just a (bad) joke. I understand and support your desire to have a Swirl Aura available on any character. In relation to "just roll a Time Manipulation", aside from the fact that it hasn't been released yet, that doesn't really help much with my Mind Control Dominator does it?

Not a problem, dude.
Just be advised, it's a pretty huge download. I'm seeing people say it's in the vicinity of 6GB. -
Quote:Not until YOU create it.according to that link the NC Launcher is suppose to have a selection for the Beta download but I don't see it on mine.
Quote:If you have NCsoft Launcher but do not have COH Beta installed.
1. Run NCsoft Launcher shortcut to get the latest update.
2. The NCsoft Launcher will start.
3. Create a copy of the NCsoft Launcher desktop shortcut.
4. Right click on the new shortcut and open the Properties option.
5. In the Target window, add the following flag to the end of the line:
[space]/LaunchGame=CohBeta
6. Run the shortcut.
7. The NCsoft Launcher will open, starting a City of Heroes Beta installation.
8. Click Install.
9. If you are on Windows Vista or Windows 7, confirm the UAC prompts. (if UAC is turned on).
10. After the installation completes, double-click CITY OF HEROES BETA in the NCsoft Launchers games list to play. -
Nope, the Beta Server is it's own unique installation of the game.
Anybody have a link to that old "how to get on the beta server" thread handy?
Edit: Friggin' DUH, it's in the OP on this thread.

Also, Kheldians (2 unique combinations--Peacebringer, Warshade) and Soldiers of Arachnos (4 unique combinations--Night Widow, Fortunata, Crab, Bane).
I suppose SoA might count as 6 if you include the starting classes' powers, Widow/Soldier...?
Also, are you including the powersets that are coming in Issue 21? Time Manipulation (for Defenders, Controllers, Corruptors and Masterminds), Beam Rifle (for Blasters, Defenders and Corruptors) and Street Justice (for Scrappers, Tankers, Stalkers and Brutes)? Are you including Powerset Proliferation 3.0? -

You don't think that they maybe need to test and make sure non-free content is locked out properly for free accounts, and that purchasing them individually gives them the correct access...?
If everybody who tests is a VIP, then none of the access limitations are getting tested. -
Today, I got my hours cut at work, with a corresponding pay cut. I texted this to my girlfriend, who replied that she needs some space and is going to stay with her parents for a while.
So, how's YOUR day going? -
Roll a Time Manipulation character, you'll get plenty of swirly effects.
Do keep in mind, though, that there is a subset of the playerbase who has issues with repetitive motions like the one in your request due to conditions like epilepsy or migraines. -
Quote:This "open" beta is still only available to VIPs. You don't think they're going to have at least a couple weeks of Premium/Free beta, to make sure everything works for those players as well?Because the open beta will only be for a limited time and then it will be live.
I am still predicting 8/30/11/. -
Quote:Reminds me of the old NES game Clash at Demonhead (a name I'm sure Scott Pilgrim fans are familiar with these days). There was a store in the game where you could buy upgrades or new items through, but in order to access the store, you had to buy a single use "Shop Call" power. You started with a couple, and could bank up to 5 (I think) of these through purchases... but if you forgot to buy more, you'd screw yourself out of store access unless you traversed the entire map to the ONE physical shop in the game. I think getting there required purchasing a scuba tank--I'm sorry, "Aqua Lung"--which, you guessed it, needed to be purchased in the store.Don't be silly. That's the in-game store temp power icon. All you have to do to gain access to the in-game store is buy that temp power from the in-game store.
For anybody sweating in their seats right now after having read Arcana's joke post, I'm pretty darn sure that the Paragon Market in City of Heroes is always available from the moment you log in. -

Quote:If your account is currently active, then you're in VIP standing. Paid is paid, whether it's by credit card, NCSoft game time card, or even the month included with the box version of the game. If that free month happens to run out before the 20th, though, you'll lose VIP status until you resume your subscription. Will this be accessible to me?
I ask because I'm currently on a free month of time from the Going Rogue Collectors Edition, and won't be actually subscribing until the 20th when I get paid.
FYI, it can take up to 48 hours after starting a new account or resuming your subscription on a deactivated account to get Test Server/Beta Server access.
