First off, isn't that simply re-buying something you already own and spent hard earned cash for? Like Seriously, If I were to walk over to your hosue and say you have to buy your computer cause you already own it, you would be not only be, "What the heck?" but also, "Excuse me, it is already mine so back off!"
The slot that the GR Pre-order Enhancements now occupy was the City Traveller slot. Since they made travel powers available for EVERYONE at level 4 in Issue 21, they did an even swap.

You don't HAVE to put a token in that slot, but if you don't, you can't progress any further than Tier 7 on the tree. And if you DO place a token there, you'll still get the Enhancement Boosters--also part of that slot--for it; you're not just getting "nothing."

    ...

And that "spent hard-earned cash for" line is BS. They were free as part of the preorder.
  2. To follow up a little further on what Necrotech said, those slots are NOT per server--that's how many you get, total. You can use them on any server or combination of servers except for the Exalted server, which is VIP only.
  3. Just out of curiosity, did you try to build the custom characters in the regular costume creator (new character or tailor), then save that costume and load it for the custom NPCs?

I doubt running the 4 Trials one time only would unlock the 2 higher tier slots (Lore and Destiny), and may or may not unlock the lower 2 (Judgement and Interface). More probably now with Keyes and UGT, but still not a lock.
To add to this, on the few characters I've fully Incarnated out, I had enough salvage to create Tier 3 abilities for each slot at about the time the slots themselves were unlocked just through running trials.

And that's even with spending a few extra Threads and some inf on XP, which wasn't necessary... I just got impatient.

  8. Yeah, about that... I'm guessing my global is the one that was invalid. There's no dash in it, just @Chad GulzowMan.

It wouldn't let me put a dash in it when Globals first came out, and by the time I found out they fixed it, I'd already listed my global for an automated tracking service my SG uses and didn't want to go through the hassle of getting one of the operators to fix it manually...

I don't. The OP used the wrong homonym for "peek."

Other than that, good thread. Gooood thread. >_>
  10. 1) Where did you get those?

    2) ... Is that dude in the first pic doing an Assassin's Strike with a sword as big as he is?

EDIT: Nevermind #1 there, I just found the link on the main page -- http://na.cityofheroes.com/en/news/e...ween_event.php

You can keep my rewards and use them towards the next contest.

It's good enough for me just to know that I qualified, but mostly I just wanna do more puzzles. *_*

  14. Titan Weapons probably won't be around until Issue 21.5 or later. They've said that the mid-issue release should be out before the end of the year (bringing two more Incarnate trials!), so hopefully not more than a couple months.

But Titan Weapons hasn't been beta tested yet, to my knowledge anyway, and the 21.5 beta seems like as good a time as any to test it as far as I'm concerned.

That... sounds pretty criminal, actually. Six months to request more than a single day off?

  17. Oh man... if I hadn't just lost my job, I might've loosened my purse strings for a second trip to Cali this year. As it stands, it's just not possible for me to travel from NC for a day of CoH awesomeness.

Maybe my costume will win that contest and I'll get flown out for a Positron Flowbee cut...? >_>

Should be safe, even as a derivative... The Teletubby's name is actually Tinky Winky. (I worked in a toy store back when Teletubbies were popular.)

Wiki "An erg is the unit of energy and mechanical work in the centimetre-gram-second (CGS) system of units, symbol "erg". Its name is derived from the Greek ergon, meaning "work".[1]
Sooo... why not rename the character as "Xergon" or "Zergon" if you do end up getting genericked? That's a pretty bad-A-star-star name.

Along these same lines, I'd suggest either Ninja Run or Beast Run, depending on which you think would work better for the majority of your characters. They're both effectively a mid-point between Super Jump and Super Speed, giving you about half the height and speed of each. They're also faster than the Flight power's speed cap right out of the box when used in conjunction with Sprint.

I went to school with that guy. He bugged me, too.

Okay, so I didn't know him personally... but we certainly didn't bring home any championships during his time at NC State. (Not that we're bringing any home now.)
  22. Fixed the icons on the OP.

An interesting thing from today's patch--the icons for costume bundles now show sample costumes. I've replaced the icon for the Circle of Thorns costume bundle to make it accurately reflect what players will see in-game.
  23. When you installed the latest video drivers, did you completely uninstall the old ones first by using something like Driver Sweeper? If not, there might be a file that wasn't overwritten properly or a registry setting that wasn't removed that's interfering with your OpenGL graphics calls.

Basically, any time you change your video drivers, you should uninstall the old ones, run Driver Sweeper (or an equivalent product) in Safe Mode, then install the new drivers.
  24. I'm sneaky. The first post and the spreadsheet have been updated with tomorrow's new items in the store: "Who Will Die?" Episode 2 and the Firefighter Helmet Package. (Neither are accessible until tomorrow's patch.)

The icons in the store are currently all broken (except for the new items), so I'll update the sale icons after the patch tomorrow.
