Well, there's also the VIP/Destined One and Pocket D VIP badges, which require you to purchase specific game versions either to start or upgrade your account with...

Quote:I noticed. I was just about to send a PM to community reps asking if that was intentional. The Undead Survival Kit is off the Market (not that I think anyone noticed...
And while you're probably correct that most people won't notice in this instance, you really should announce it before something is being removed from the market. I'm not upset by the loss of the bundle at all, but I am annoyed about the lack of communication about it.
(By the way, GF... have you checked out the Complete Paragon Market Listing link in my sig?) -
Alright, new stuffs!

Quote:Gonna have to second Z on this, Snow Globe. Given how much we've participated in Freedom discussions together, I feel you really should know better than to value 1 Reward Token at $15. It's an extra perk on top of the money spent, not the (intended) reason for spending that money.1 Reward Token does not = $15.00. You pay your VIP subscription, and the Reward Token is only a part of what you're getting in return. Same goes for PP purchases. You still get $15 in value out of your PP, Reward Tokens are just something extra.

Quote:This is still the deal breaker for me. I will not touch the packs so long as they have costume sets in them that I want and can not at that time get any other way.
I'm hoping for good news soon, but expecting bad news after much delay. Surprise me, please.
I know you don't want to hear it, but I do think it's incredibly unlikely that the costume options will be available outside of the Super Packs at the time of their release. -
Quick note... Since I'm otherwise unemployed at the moment, I took up a part time retail job for the holidays and they've got me working first thing tomorrow morning, so I won't be able to update the list until after 4:00 PM tomorrow afternoon. My apologies for the delay.

Sorry, I haven't made any female characters, so I haven't really tested it. You should probably post in the gameplay issues section of the forums to find out for sure, if you haven't already. -
I think I'm about the only nerd out there who didn't like LotR. That includes the books. Hell, ESPECIALLY not the books, ugh.
I did love The Hobbit (book), though it could stand to have been trimmed down a bit. But LotR just goes on and on and on and it's sooooo booooring. :/ -
Quote:"By Grapthar's Hammer... <dejected sigh> Oh, what a savings."Especially if you've seen and liked Star Trek, I wanted to emphasize Galaxy Quest. Funny and meta as hell. Very entertianing.

*high fives Avatea* If there's one thing I know, it's horrible movies. -

Quote:Not true. Using the old definition, you'd only be removing 3.4 and 7.4% of the total voting population by decimating the dissenters. (I don't have any scratch paper to actually figure out the new totals, but there certainly wouldn't be a 10% increase to those in agreement as a result.)If we decimate the dissenters those numbers'd be 76% and 36%.
Though given the intention of old-school decimation to begin with, the numbers would probably be much closer to 100% on the second vote. -

FourSpeed, using /ah has caused issues for players with low-end machines or slow internet connections, as it dumps the entire market listing onto that map instance. By that, I mean it causes those same issues for anyone on that map, whether they were the one to use /ah or not.
In severe enough situations, it could be used to cause mapserver disconnects for everyone on a map, making it a potential griefing tool. (And yes, that applied to certain bases as well.) -

Quote:That's, like, a rap guy thing, right?Machiavellian?! I mean, it is a fantastic adjective, and I have to give props for pulling it out, but... I would bet money that over half the players of this game do not know what that means.
You're a Prince for pointing it out, though, Wint. -

Woot, been waiting for more badg--I mean, uh, more trials.

New stuffs in the store today!
Titan Weapons was released today at the standard new Power Set price (800 PP). The first Weapon Pack (to give TW more model options) was also released today, is free for an undisclosed amount of time, and it CAN be picked up without purchasing the Titan Weapons Power Set--so grab it quick!
Who Will Die? Episode 4 is available today as well, and is free to subscribers.
There are a couple sales--Character Slots and XP Boosters are both 25% off through Sunday (NOT Monday, as has been the usual standard).
Finally, a reminder: the Carnival, PPD Hardsuit and Rikti Mentalist convention costumes were supposed to leave the store at midnight, but are still available at the moment... so if you want them, grab them before they disappear! -

Rubber Chickens for Dual Blades.
Gotta put in another vote for the Towel Cape, too. (With a "tied" clasp, of course.) -
-
Further proof that Day Jobs were the single worst addition to the game... *slithers off, cackling maniacally*
-
Sometimes, yes.
While they're nice on their own, it definitely created a culture of have/have-not that wasn't present in the game beforehand, and I've been criticized and even passed-over for events due to having sub-optimal builds. I currently have a Fire/Kin 'Troller that I'm trying to Incarnate out, and I've received tells that I "should really work on my slotting first" since he's only using SOs and common IOs.
And then there's my Kat/SR Scrapper, my main character, who wasn't softcapped until just a few months ago. He got no end of flack for his build, as I built for concept instead of game mechanics.
But excluding the people who complain about that sort of thing, there's no arguing that properly using Invention Sets can give a huge bonus to our super-powered heroes and villains. I absolutely wouldn't wish them away now, just like I wouldn't wish away our Incarnate abilities. -
In the movie. Her character. Right. >_>
-
I'll wait until it goes on sale. I have a couple good concepts for TW characters, but both require costume options that we don't have--a butcher's apron, and a horse (preferably zebra) head.
