  1. For role play reasons, to integrate freezing rain into your build, you could always say that you're sucking the heat out of the environment, rather than "causing" cold. (I think even the Human Torch in the FF did this on occasion).
  2. Not sure if this is an issue, but I recently upgraded my 5500 video card to a Ge-Force 7800GS 512mb, and I've been experiencing much better visuals in the game overall, after upping many of my settings.

However, in Faultline, something is seriously odd with the bloom effect or world detail or something. Anything in the distance is super cloudy and super soft, almost cartoon like (and it's not all that distant either). Other zones, such as in CoV, have a very nice distance effect going on - but Faultline is bizarre. The Faultline zone is like traveling in a bubble of clarity, while everything outside of it is horrendously soft and blurry - it kind of looks like a menacing dream sequence.
  3. Well c'mon, there is some info:

Will you delve into Ghost Widow’s darkest desires, Sirocco’s shocking secret, Mako’s dangerous drive, or Black Scorpion’s shadowed past?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    So now we know:

    Ghost Widow: dark powers
    Sirocco: electric powers
Mako: car powers? golf powers? heh
    Black Scorpion: shadow powers
  4. I think it's great that bases are getting some features that can help small supergroups. It's all good to have more stuff and more reasons to actually have a base.

However, it makes me chuckle when I see the enormous sizes of the rooms they use to display the new capabilities of the bases. When the empowerment stations become available, my room to hold it will most likely look like this rather than the grandiose rooms they show.

I wish I could afford a larger room, but alas
  5. I think you receive +3 SO's for whichever is higher. If they AV is higher level than you, you will receive +3 SO's of it's level. If you are higher level you will receive SO's +3 to your actual level.
  6. Do the first mission in the Katie Hannon task force in Croatoa. In the first mission you can defeat Mary Macomber 10 times. If you start the mission with an empty enhancement tray - you will have 10 +3 SO's specific to your origin after this mission - even exemplared.

Thus, even a level 50 can exemplar down and do this mission, and receive 10 53 SOs by mission end.

Why would you want anything other than level 50's in your SG then?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    How about this idea:
Make it so that if you are level 50 and exemplared to a lower level SG member, the character you are exemplared to earns more prestige (the lower level character benefits from your experience, and earns more prestige for teaming with such an accomplished hero) and thus, the SG as a whole benefits). This would promote teaming, exemplaring, and a mix of levels in SGs.

This would be an addition / twist on how the exemplaring system currently works. Instead of the level 50 earning more prestige, the person who exemplared you earns more.

    Alternatively:
Make it so that this works for anyone who is exemplaring, not just level 50s. Perhaps there is a greater bonus of prestige as the difference in levels between the 2 characters gets higher.

    Salvage Limit

No worktables yet. We just have a power room with a basic generator so far.

    Villain Emotes

"Just a sec!..." emote. - the villain says "Just a sec!..." and puts his finger up in the air as if he's going to explain something. (classic stalling for time tactic)

Mock fear - upon seeing a hero, the villain can do the "Home Alone" posture and pretend to be scared, then "Pfsh!" and look disdainful

"Evil Villain" emote - the words "evil villain" with a large arrow pointed down at your head appear above you

Anvil or large safe emote - a large anvil or safe appears above your head and crushes you

Hall of mirrors emote - 10 duplicates appear around you and act randomly. A single hit "shatters" them into mirror fragments

Sand in the eye emote - dirty trick - you grab some sand from the ground and throw it in the hero's eyes!

You got me emote - you do the death animation (and stay dead looking until you move again)

I'm dying emote - you stagger around, hands over your chest, until you fall over, dead (kidding! not dead! bwahahah!)

Sinister shadow emote - you cast a long, menacing shadow

I am evil!!! emote - think Gandalf in the beginning of The Fellowship of the Ring, you gather darkness around yourself, and seem to grow in stature, with dark, menacing noise gathering around you

Pit trap - you pull a lever, a pit trap opens in the ground, and a flunky falls in, screaming, the pit trap closes

the dark eye emote - a mist appears behind you, forming into a large eye that blinks at you, you turn and bow

dark menace emote - a shadowy, indistinct figure hunches over you protectively

I have the power! emote - You yell, "Too Late!" as some spectacular display erupts around you, with you in the center

    ---
Here's an idea--how about villains can use emotes that make their flunkies emote

for example: bow before me emote - all flunkies in the area begin bowing to you

kneel before me - same as above, but kneeling

...pretty much any of the emotes, except you make your flunkies do the emote (like the council troups doing the warm up emotes)

    ---
or you get to choose a "death emote" that happens if you are defeated

Such as shadowy figures dragging you into the earth
    or
getting sucked into a swirling void
    or
yelling "too...much...power...." and growing to massive size before exploding
    or
"you got my clone, not me!" emote- when you die, a duplicate appears nearby, curses, then flies away
  13. I'm surprised noone is talking about this. The dynamic of the epic archetypes - think about it for a moment. What does it promote? Teaming! It seems like one of the factors in designing the epic archetypes might have been a response to the question- "How can we get those who don't normally want to team, to team up?" Answer: Enhance their powers like crazy when they team up!

I think this is potentially a brilliant solution. I look forward to seeing the implementation of the epic archetypes.
  14. OMG! I just thought of the coolest little gadget! Cryptic should make available COH pagers, that light up (like at restaurants when your table is ready) when there is a live event going on! I'd buy one!
