CO's managed to annoy me without my ever trying, simply because I have a couple of friends with twitter accounts playing the damn game.
$Character has finished $Arc.
$Character has finished $Arc.
$Character has finished $Arc.
$Character has hit level 5!
$Character has finishes $Arc.
Drives me insane. I don't bloody CARE. -
Quote:I'm not really sure what you mean by "weird heights."Yeah, but they stack at weird Heights.
A Safe is a nice unit of measure. But I guess it's like the Metric System and all. It doesn't matter if the Meter is a better increment of measure, you're just gonna stick to your Foot.
There's effectively 2 feet of unstackable space to the bottom of the accent lamp... but then it's stackable every foot. You don't have to leave the gap at the top, they mesh. There's 7 feet total.
The safe has the same internal foot measurement, there just happens to be 4 of them.
I'm not sure how one can be weirder than the other when they're exactly the same.
For placing floor tiles, I generally like the accent lamps, because I'm usually placing four floor tiles per floor level (I've got two 3-story rooms and two 2-story rooms so far), and the safes for stacking stairs (and I HATE stacking stairs). The accent lamp allows me to better judge where in the room the floor is actually going; the safe has the space for the stairs to comfortably sit on and for landings to settle onto. -
Fabulous. Thank you.
CS should be back... "Soon."
Before HeroCon. -
Posi, Ocho, and DW - hope you all feel better quite soon.

As Tyrak said, just because it current says regular doesn't mean we need it to go regular right now.
The idea is, long-term, we arrange a regular day and time (for example, second Saturday of the month at noon pacific), and then decide if it's a sign-up sheet first-come, first-served (we can manage about 10 bases in a day, cross-server) or a server at a time (we can manage closer to 15 if they're all on the same server).
If we go all one server a month, then we can go Jan - November, and do a pickup list in December. Personally, I think the pickup list each month would work better, though.
Once we've got the Scoop running again, we'll be able to list the tour bases there, too. -
You can't get rid of the logo.
However, by intersecting something with the glass, you can place a (desk, stone block, other large object) in such a way as to obscure the logo. Using the larger of the two glass items will leave you with still quite a large window, despite the clipping. -

Base Showcase for the Scoop will be coming back once we've finished getting the Scoop up on its new home, and figuring out what the submission process will be.

You're good to go.

Quote:Character copy tool frequently takes a long time to copy characters - it can be anywhere from 5 minutes to never. The CCT is a little variable in its reliability. This is a known (and annoying) issue. It might just be borked again.I've come across a strange bug. I recently downloaded the Test Server to try out the new update and once I had logged on under my account a few times I decided I wanted to copy some of my characters to the test server.
Quote:Today I changed my account's password (I was confused about what I needed to do to copy characters) and I noticed that when log into the normal CoH servers I have to use the new password but the Test Server still uses my old password.
Sorry I can't be more help on the character copy tool; the thing is apparently a pain in the neck for many people (I seem to get it whenever it's up, myself). -
Quote:Unfortunately, not just AE babies do either of those. The best part was when he died, he asked, "how did i die?". Completely oblivious to the fact that 30 snow beasts were standing on his head.
So, you might be an AE baby if....
...you use Vengence as a self-buff the second someone dies. >.>
I need to get a better class of PUGs. -

Quote:Well, I'd edit that to say if a lvl 49 were to join in, they would be exemp... etc. From my understanding, the 5,7,8 will be sk'd to 9, the 10 will be 10 still, the 11 will be exemped to 10 with xp gain, the 15 will be exemped to 10 with access to all their powers (since their level is 5 above 10. If a lvl 50 was to join in the fight, they would be exemped to 10 also but have access to any powers they took up to 15 and still gaining XP.
A level 50 would not, of course, gain XP. No use for it. -

Why are you downloading the test server? Just copy over your CoH file entirely into CoHTest (or whatever it's named), delete the checksum file, and let it patch.
Not sure how to do it on a Mac, but there's instructions around here somewhere. It's a lot faster, though. -

Well, we're talking 9 months ago, and I've had a series of micro-seizures since then, so my short-term memory's been rebooted quite a few times. About all I can really say is that beta opened up, and the people who were in closed beta told the people coming into open beta "Well, X, Y, and Z..." - you know, the usual information transfer of closed to open beta.
It wasn't ever an official announcement, because no official awareness was ever taken of the trick. It's a bug they let us get away with until they couldn't any more. -
Quote:If you notice the little > arrow at the end of:Quote:To get stacked quotes, you have to go through and choose multiquote for every single post you want in the stack, then quote on the last one.
You can then proceed to have them one after another, or you can move the quote tags around so that they're nested (which can sometimes be useful).
Please just change the behavior of the quote mechanism so that it quotes the ENTIRE post being replied to, including any nested quotes. As it stands now, it can be difficult to follow a debate because key context is often missing.

They'll all be in your reply screen, in the correct chronological sequence (I checked). No searching required. -
Quote:You did note that Games Con was EU?Are there plans to run some events that us EU players can come to, or offer a way for us to get these codes too? What with Comic Con, Games Con and now the announcement of Hero Con 2009, all with special gear, codes, etc available for US players, we're feeling a bit left out.

Quote:In fact, once it was confirmed in open beta that the double-wide doors were going away in i-13, several people specifically went through and put down part of their re-worked layout before the issue dropped to live with the extra-wide doors so that it would (they hoped, and were right) stay intact. Were you able to create multiple doors up until Issue 13 with the room rotate technique?
I thought that editor bug had been "fixed" a long time ago because some people were breaking their bases using it.
The door thing that was base breaking was that in i-13 originally, we could decorate the hallways - because there was no restrictions on intersecting with the exterior walls of the room. Several people accidentally moved storage items or other functional items into the walls and couldn't retrieve them. Once the restriction on intersecting with room exterior walls (IE: any wall of any room that touches the main grid) went back into place (with a few months of an add-on bug...), we were back to being unable to decorate hallways. -
I'm personally waiting for..
"Cende? Why is there a desk midway up the tree?"
or
"Hey, Cende? Any reason there's this... platform thingy with computers on it ... in the middle of the energy generator?"
I don't get complaints about building, since I do it in the middle of the night, but I do every so often lose various parts I'm working with and forget to go looking for them. -
Quote:Also the large wall sconce (lit and unlit), both inside and outside the frame.Several of the wall lights from the lighting tab allow you to stick other wall items to them at angles. I use the lit wall torches. (The unlit ones don't seem to allow this)
Remember, also, that you can use the cubicle as a portable wall.
