I made my first Blaster today, Radiation Blast / Energy Manipulation. The thing is... I don't know how to build him. I'm used to playing Masterminds and Scrappers. I've read that all blasters should take their primary's first two powers. I want to take Fitness and Flight power pools, and Force Mastery. I do not want to take Atomic Blast, as I'm not a fan of the crash. Other than that though, I'm at a loss. What other powers should I take? Which powers are musts, and which are skippable? Any other suggestions?

Would it be possible for NCSoft to release some no longer used character names? Say characters under level 25 on accounts that have been expired for a year or more? Or, better yet, find a way to tie character names to the global name, so everyone can be Captain Bob?
I became inspired to create a new Radiation Blast / Energy Manipulation Blaster tonight. It took me about 45 minutes or so to get the costume right, mostly black with a splash of bright red. When it came time to choose a name, I tried "Celestial Striker," figuring it would be taken. It was. Darn. Okay. How about.... "Atomic Striker?" Taken. Hrm. Okay, let's try... "Celestial Fusion." Taken. Grr. "Atomic Fusion." Taken. "Scarlet Fusion." Taken. Tried a few others. All taken.
So, that character I spent 45 minutes putting together a costume for was never created, as I spent a good hour trying to come up with a good available name, only to come up empty handed.
Really, it's gotten pretty difficult to come up with a character name that doesn't use leetspeak like C3lesti@l, or throw random letters and / or numbers in like Celestial A 3, or use a foreign language like Latin. Perhaps I'm uncreative. -

Best use of that song was during 'Force of Arms'...as Minmei sings, Hunter hits the boosters, screams 'Attack!" and they go screaming into the Zentradi armada. Loved it then, love it now. Mad love, CL.
One battle fortress and a few thousand newly allied Zentraedi rebels against an armada of 4.8 million Zentraedi warships. I gotta tell ya, Gloval and Breetai both had some serious stones.
Now I'm tempted to watch one or two of the DVDs during my day off tomorrow... -
Not exactly my toon, but seconds before the Rikti mothership raid starts each Thursday night, I play "We Will Win" from Robotech. :\

Does NCSoft have any QA left? After the last couple of patches, it sure doesn't seem so.

In addition, some people have received 1.5x the normal reward merits for Strike / Task Forces due to the new patch.

Wasn't the money that kept me from going, it was them waiting too damn long to announce the dates. I made plans for the weekend before they told us. (Which, by the way, was an awesome weekend. Went to see U2 in Vegas with my best friend. Had to buy the concert tix when they went on sale)
