  1. Took them a little less than two years to nerf my beloved Sonic Resonance animations.

If you round up enough torch-wielding villagers they might eventually nail Conductive Aura too. Good luck!

P.S. to the OP: Welcome to the forums!!!!!
  2. Don't forget about leveling pacts as a way for Praetorians to gain xp without much effort. Send one person out to Primal Earth to grind out [essentially] 60 levels and the Praetorian wouldn't even have have to login, let alone leave the dimension to ding 50.

I'm not sure how I would feel about ToT'ing in Praetoria. On one hand, yes, the costume piece references would very much be "lost" on that utopian population. On the other hand, with Going Rogue acting as CoH's new best foot forward to new players, wouldn't they want to show off a holiday event in their shiny new world??

Nooooo, you're wrong, +Stealth IO's have already become obsolete! Shadowy Presence FTW!

... okay so I don't see +Stealth IO's dropping in price either. I think (hope?) more people will pick up Leadership than Concealment.

I've already used freespecs on two characters to try Fitness-free builds just to see how I like certain powerset and power pool choices that I'll be able to readily make post-i19. I'll just eat blues like M&M's for now and use another freespec to fix it if needed when i19 drops.
  4. "Let my pre-i18 characters into Praetoria" is a new fan-favorite request. QoL improvements like this SG thing seem to just get back-burner'd until someone has the time to figure it out.

Increased SG roster size, increased global channel limit, level 6 travel powers, return of CoP... so many of those are well-received after years of waiting, but I agree with the devs' history of focusing on shiny new stuff (to show the game's not going anywhere) instead of churning out the player requests.

I imagine this one will eventually happen in some fashion, but who knows when.

Maybe we'll get charged $7.99 for it too :P

Ever miss the garbage can from 2 feet away?

    ... 'cause... you know... I haven't...
  6. People don't change clothes in Praetoria, the fabrics in that dimension are super stain resistant.

(Hopefully when they add levels to the zone they'll upgrade the Tailor as well to offer a level 20 slot, but I don't remember reading anything promising specific changes)

    Counterattacks

Only thing I can come up with against a specific target would be a single-target toggle or attack that gives that target -Def, -Res, -Regen, etc. Debuff them and your attacks against them will do more damage.

My beloved original Defiance gave Blasters' nice buffs to +Dmg and +ToHit when taking damage, kind of an indirect way to lay some extra smack down on a specific target if you want.

  9. Similar to Masterminds leaving the NumPad for their pets, many of my fellow buffers use the NumPad keys for macros to apply shields to teammates more easily rather than clicking on their names.

Top-row number keys for tray 1 powers, numpad keys for 1337 shieldz. YMMV.

    New Merits....

    Quote:
and isnt that super expensive btw??
I agree they're still not cheap. Nor should they be, considering the bonuses they offer.

    Quote:
A-Merits can still be earned by completing morality missions and affirming your heroic/villainous status. Cuts off a lot of time, and inf when you add in the earned a-merits.
It does seem more reasonable to do 70 days worth of alignment missions (35 Alignment merits at 1 Alignment merit every 2 days = 70 days) instead of spending 1750 Reward Merits + 700 million inf. Sure, it's not quick, but -- NC Soft gets paid monthly!

Many players are just using their A-merits to buy random recipe rolls, crafting and selling the enhancements, to raise inf to buy the recipes/enhancements they want on the market.

If you want a reason as to why certain characters aren't allowed in names, I'm thinking part of it might be it creates a roadblock for socializing ingame that involves typing, like:

/t Æther Storm,Hey what's up with that crazy symbol in your name?

A lot of players with standard American keyboards (of whom I'm educationally guessing are the majority) could get frustrated in not being able to figure out how to get Æ to show up, not knowing that for us, Alt+0198 = Æ.

Furthermore... Danish keyboards are crazy looking:

    New Merits....

    (edited the link)
I think this post might answer some of your questions: http://coh103.gtm.cityofheroes.com/s...95&postcount=2

Basically, "regular" IO set recipes cost 1-2 Alignment Merits, Purples cost 20, and PvPs cost 25-35.

You forgot to mention that Sven's costume was awesome! Should've taken a screenie... hmmm every time we're on a TF we forget to take screenies.

To the OP: Like someone else suggested, I had a toon that had to wait a day for whatever reason. Hope time fixes things for you; if not, I'd definitely file a "Stuck" report, lots of alignment delays and mishaps still in the system.
  16. For as trivially fast as leveling has become for many players based on the numerous ways the game can be played, I know many characters go without any enhancements for quite a long time.

Generally though I tend to only slot TO drops, especially Acc in attacks and EndRdx in toggles. If I find myself solo'ing a lot and struggling, I'll occasionally buy a few TO's, though small insps on the market can often be cheaper and just as effective. When I buy TO's (and DO's/SO's) I find that the market can be a super cheap way to get them.

Edit: I suspect that those who team rather than running from 1 to 50 solo are more lax in their slotting.
    Agreed.

    More slots.?!

I should be honest and correct myself, only have 3 slots in my DA's Stamina. That toon's Frankenslotted like Paris Hilton's sex life and I don't have many problems with the build. I'll have to pick a better example next time.

    Do your homework, kids!

P.S. I'm not sure what the Paris Hilton reference means, I just came up with it.

Roger that, thanks for the clarification. Was thinking the same post-i19 for toons that don't rely too heavy on Stamina (I'm looking at you, Kins and permaDoms).

As for my Dark Armor Tanker... I'll continue 6-slotting it.

Is that your general rule of thumb, SwellGuy? Don't slot up the later Fitness choices? I've historically thrown a few slots in Stamina to boost its effectiveness and get a few Recovery, Regen, or HP set bonuses. Sometimes will put 2 or 3 procs in Health.

Now that I'm playing in Mid's though, I may be with you on the "slot up your chosen powers and put a single proc in each of the inherent Fitness doo-dads".
