I19 is coming

Have to respec the most of my alts.

Still not working

Don't think that all Issues were released on Tuesday (can someone check that, saw post couple of issues ago when were which release), so Thursday is also possibility. Still hoping for this week so I can start respecing.

Need to save this post. Planing to respec my fire/cold when I19 come, so I need some ideas.

Think that scrapper is the easiest to begin with. Latter he/she can try other classes and see what is best for him/her.
I mostly play defenders/corruptors/controllers but I wouldn't suggest anyone to start with them.
Also anything/WP is good.

Won't have much time on Haloween week, but at least I will have time to chase bombs on next one.

I'll check numbers when I get home, but as far as I know defender version of FFG have higher defense value.
For solo play they have about same damage, but corruptor gets + scourge.

Tried ToT in Praetoria on two alts and it is working as usual. On second alt I've got all 4 peaces of salvage, but didn't knew where NPC that unlock costume slot is. (Checked US test post and now I know).
Only unusual thing I have noticed was that on one door I've got trick and temp costume in the same time.

Tried ToT on PI after on elec/rad controller and after 15-20 doors I've got Halloween tip as treat (don't know will it drop if you already have 3 normal tips or not cause I was deleting them, will check it tomorrow).

Noticed same things as people on US test - timer is adding bonus time but when original 5 minutes run out, ambush start coming, no badge or pop-up when the mission is over. Also I did mission twice on the same tip.
On the boss fight when camera is turned in some angle it looks like we are fighting on air instead on that pyramid (or whatever that is).

Subjective: Map looks great and new mission is fun.

Judging by this post http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=238947 you can alt during CoP, so maybe if we get Purple we can change teams during CoP - switch to ranged instead of melee and similar? Also if someone quit, other can replace him like in regular team.

Since CoP is not like other TF's (trials) where you are stuck with what you get at the start maybe some strategy can be made based on that?

Purple AV have Ice Storm, Freezing rain and Blizzard (and of course Hurricane) and that can be big problem if you have to be closer to AV for -regen (Poison Trap, Drain Psyche).

Also thanks for 2nd successful run. Can I join next time (blue side) on my scrapper?

I also had -regen on blaster (Miss Firestarter) in drain psyche.

Don't know about other people experience, but on 3 tries I had - 2 that took more then 30 minutes in first phase had red AV and one where we finished first phase in few minutes have purple. Probably just coincidence.
Red is so much easier then purple one that have tornado and spam ice rains and blizzards all over.

Still need badge on my main scrapper, so will join one of next tries.


Anyone planing CoP on red side?

Got one also last night from facebook. There weren't any rush at least on EU side.

Why are people on defender board suggesting people to make controllers or corruptors?

I love playing support, and have so far 7 defenders, 6 controllers and 5 corruptors. But if someone is asking which defender to make on defender board, give him/her advice about defender. Same goes for corruptor or controllers.

Reason to play defender over corruptor (or controller) is that you get your buffs/debuffs much earlier in the game. If you are not planing to skip first 38 levels you can see how useful is that.

My newest projects for Praetoria is Traps/Dp. I have chosen defender because, even if I am loosing some damage, I get FFG on level 8 (+defense and mez protection), Poison Trap on level 12 and Seeker Drones on 18. On corruptor I would get Poison Trap on level 22, when I already leave Praetoria (I always get stamina on 20). Also slotted with level 15 IO's I can already have AM and PT ready for every group of enemies.

On higher levels it is easier to softcap defense to all but Psi on traps defender then on corruptor, since defender get higher defense numbers (and now we can also get scorpion shield ).

Also even if you can't rely on endurance discount, you will still get it in teams. There is always someone who is not paying attention, or trying to solo or some unlucky hit that went through defense, someone goes AFK in mission with ambush - and no mater how good you are doing your job, you will get endurance discount.

Oh, almost forgot, I'm suggesting you to try Traps/? (the most people say that sonic is best as secondary since slotted it can solo AV's and GM's).

I like the look of CoP and all defender teams, so I am up for a new try.

And maybe doing temp runs before it would be good idea (at least nuke with +damage) + getting HVAS.

Don't forget that for -regen Poison trap on traps defender or corruptor (since they can now become heroes) is great. That is a power with one of the best - regen in game.
Unfortunately my high level traper is on Defiant, so can't help with her (one on Union is level 5).

Both dates are fine with me, but there is always 1% chance that something unplanned can happen which ever day you choose (hope it doesn't).

Any power you suggest to use Energy Manipulator: Chance to Stun in?

Had it dropped last night and I am thinking of putting it somewhere. If not on controller maybe on electric/electric scrapper.

Since I17 went live game started crashing when exiting. I would get the message error in cg.dll and program would close.

When I18 went live crashing become much worse. Now I get error message every time I try to open Friends list or search for team. Id doesn't state where is the error when not exiting (exiting still have cg.dll error).

I know I should update my graphic drivers but not sure in which version - is legacy 9.3 still the option for for older ati cards (x1600pro).

Also today I had weird look of game. Everything was red and costumes on my alts were in strange colors (almost every toon had red face, and costumes were like mirror version costumes).

If updating drivers doesn't help, should I try to reinstal game? (I was actually avoiding to update drivers, since the last time I was updating drivers I had to reinstall windows, cause drivers blocked everything )

I know I should post CoH helper file, but the trouble is that CoH helper also reporting error when I run it and if i click continue nothing is happening.

As other said it all depends on set.

My first corruptor was fire/cold. She was very hard to level solo in the beginning, but in time it become much easier (when she got debuffs). On teams... lets just say that I can't do LRSF on any other level 50 because everybody ask for /cold

Can't say much on fire/rad solo, because I have leveled her in team.

I can solo on ice/kin 0/3 without much problem as long as i have bf's. 0/3 is the maximum I ever rise difficulty on alts without sets (just SO's and plain IO's), except MM.

My corrupter that is most painful to level is A/TA, mostly because I am leveling her on all A/TA team, and before oil slick and RoA we did had lot of trouble staying alive. On level 38 now and we are getting better. Funniest of all is that we can take AV's and Elite Bosses without breaking sweat, but minions and lieutenants are to hard for us.

Finally my fire/dark is only level 5, but I think she is going to be fun to play. I have almost 50 Dark/Psi defender and she was fun to play. Her biggest problem solo was endurance, since I love to spam powers.

The same thing goes for defenders. Soloing on empathy/dark was painful, she had troubles killing even level minion, and in time when I were leveling her there weren't -1 setting.

On the opposite side I could solo 0/3 on traps/rad defender without much problem. Since I have sloted her she can solo +1/8 (maybe even higher but I haven't tried that).

And selecting set that suits you is important on any AT. For example I have 2 brutes - Claws/WP were fun to level from the beginning until level 50, but WM/SD to me is painful and although I have made her before other brute she still has long way to go.
