Halloween Event now on Test!
Patching test now. Not sure how many EUers read this section and highly doubt i will be able to test tonight, but will log on friday at 6pm, so anybody want to do some praetorian ToT/testing at 6pm tomoz?

Possible bug 1: While in neutropolis at the banner of scorn, defeat a woman scorned and unlike the other enemies with the same name with the witch costume, she had a normal civilian outfit on. Bug? Was 6 there in total and only one had the civillian outfit.

Maybe I hit an unlucky streak, but I was going door to door in Peregrine on my Dual Blades/Willpower scrapper, and wearing a temp costume from as soon as I got one, and I deleted about 9 or 10 tip missions to free up slots as they filled, and all of them were the normal alignment system tips. I didn't get anything resembling a hallowe'en tip mission, in other words.
On the subjective side, costume salvage seems to be dropping well, I had no shortage of any, and ghosts are spawning in regularly, but zombies seemed a little thin on the ground.
Warning:
The above post may contain Cynicism, sarcasm and/or pessimism. If you object to the quantities contained, then tough.
Tried ToT in Praetoria on two alts and it is working as usual. On second alt I've got all 4 peaces of salvage, but didn't knew where NPC that unlock costume slot is. (Checked US test post and now I know).
Only unusual thing I have noticed was that on one door I've got trick and temp costume in the same time.
Tried ToT on PI after on elec/rad controller and after 15-20 doors I've got Halloween tip as treat (don't know will it drop if you already have 3 normal tips or not cause I was deleting them, will check it tomorrow).
Noticed same things as people on US test - timer is adding bonus time but when original 5 minutes run out, ambush start coming, no badge or pop-up when the mission is over. Also I did mission twice on the same tip.
On the boss fight when camera is turned in some angle it looks like we are fighting on air instead on that pyramid (or whatever that is).
Subjective: Map looks great and new mission is fun.

I'd like to be able to test this - but the test server isn't downloading the patch for it - it just stops at 2.5 mb, and nothing else happens.

I tested this for an hour, in Grandville. I was solo, on a Mind/Emp level 50 Controller, and I was making sure to always wear the Halloween costume. As it happens, during that time I got one Halloween Tip (H-Tip) mission, marked by its distinctive pumpkin symbol. I received more than 5 regular tips which I proceeded to dismiss to make room for the intended Halloween ones. Interestingly enough the H-Tip dropped not from a mob, but from clicking on the door, as a Treat. Is this WAI?
First suggestion would be to make it so the only kind of tip that could possibly drop whilst wearing the Halloween costume is the Halloween one.
Second suggestion: the time between door clicks needs, IMHO, to be scaled down a bit. I find it frustrating having to wait between door clicks especially if I have already defeated all the mobs from the previous door.
It's pleasing to see (and I hope this wasn't a bug) the Halloween mission not counting towards the allotted maximum of tips run per day. With the 6 badges tied to them it would be a nightmare of epic proportions, from a logistics point of view, to collect all of them within the event duration. Thanks for taking that into consideration Developers!
The mission I ran (I don't know if there are more) was the Whispered Rumour one (Recover the Malleus Mundi). I won't describe it so as not to spoil it for others but I was not awarded any badge for it, upon completion. As I don't know what the criteria for the awarding of the 6 new badges is, I could not ascertain if this was a bug or not.
I was, however, forced to repeat the same mission as upon completion I got a message stating something to the effect of this mission has been completed, return to your contact. On clicking on that option, the mission was made available again and upon second completion, still no badge was awarded.
For the sake of testing, could we have a requirement list for the badges so we know what needs to be done please? Thanks.

So, I logged back in and went Trick or Treating while using one of the Halloween Costume Temp Powers, and after knocking on a few doors the special Halloween Event Tip Mission finally dropped. (But as others already have pointed out it's presently bugged and won't give any badges upon completion.)
The part about it only dropping while using a Costume Temp Power appears to be working as intended though.
@Nanas (on Defiant)
Is Eu Test down now? Or has my update borked out slightly?
I get 'No response from this server' when trying to log in...
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Howdy there Ghouls and Ghosts, its almost time for yet another Halloween celebration in City of Heroes! Weve enabled this years Halloween Event on the Test server and would love any feedback you would like to give us.
This Years Halloween Event Includes all the fun of last years events (Trick or Treating, Giant Monsters, the Zombie Apocalypse, and the Deadly Apocalypse) as well as a brand new Halloween Tip Mission. These events aren't limited to Primal Earth either, but can also be found in Praetoria!
As always, we appreciate your feedback and any bugs you might spot. Please feel free to post them in this thread. Specifically we are most interested in:
Feedback is important to our development process, there are two types of feedback and both are helpful although some give us more insight and are more easily adapted into game changes.
- Objective Feedback: Objective feedback is based upon what you as a user see or experience that other users may also see and experience. This feedback usually can be replicated easily as it involves facts and unbiased opinions. Example: When using the base editor items are sometimes getting caught in columns or pillars.
- Subjective Feedback: Subjective feedback is based upon how you feel or experience the game as yourself. This experience may not necessarily be replicated because it is based on feeling and emotion. Subjective feedback is important to us but it is usually helpful if more information is present to describe what and why you feel the way you do. Example: I like the way the graphics look on my shield animation it gives me the feeling of being truly super-powered.
Thanks,
