Yep, I totally agree. I'm amazed (and a bit disappointed) that the changes to Bases still seem to reflect the Devs ideas that they are primarily for PvP raiding, which they totally aren't, You'd have thought after 2 years they'd look at how people were tending to set-up and use their bases and say "Looks like we were completely wrong on what people will use their bases for". -

I think they want to forget about the CoP, it will be another epic fail, because non pvp sg's aint going to open themselves up to base pvp and a destroyed base anyway.
Or make the CoP just another strike force, god knows villains need some more strike forces.
They should just concentrate on fixing the bugged, borked hard work base editor if they want to do something that would be appreciated by base builders/users.

I still think it'll be too unbalanced to bother with though, if they want balanced "closed scenarios" like raids they'd be better off making objective based PvP missions / maps like WAR (and, to cross a genre slightly, Team Fortress and its ilk) do. -
There was a slightly worrying post from Castle which went along the lines of "We decided we needed to fix the Item of Power (or whatever its called) TF/Raid first, and Base Raids. But before that we needed to fix PvP". So it looks like the initial concept of Bases simply as places to Raid and have IOPs is still being stuck with to a certain degree and tied in with PvP. I'm not sure that's a good thing. I don't mind balanced PvP scenarios or something being developed, but Base PvP still seems like a daft idea and something they're never going to balance well (since one side designs the base the event takes place in).
Hmmm. Just a random thought, maybe it'd be nice for NCSoft to run a "design a balanced and fun PvP Base for raiding" competition using the base editor. The winner(s) would be chosen by them and the community and used as templates for some sort of PvP scenarios / missions in i14 or 15. A bit like the Mission Creator but a one-off competition, a bit like designing a balanced Counterstrike or Team Fortress map, which would end up in-game as "Abandoned Base" PvP scenarios, with Attack/Defense or "Capture the Glowie" objectives. -

I initially thought the only difference was the HP they had, but Phantoms post seems to indicate they do more damage too. But I was pretty sure they didn't get any extra powers.
But to be honest I just tend to sacrifice a Zombie for the Spirit anyway, its easier for me to do mid-battle so I don't have huge experience with the other two,
I do love it when I manage to get two of em out, although it doesn't last long. 8 henchmen + a Dark Servant. Loads of fun! -
Aye, the mid-mission cost could really put a dampener on my Staminaless Thugs/Traps & his suicidal Arsonist.
One End will drop that 45 to 34 End, which might just be alright. -

Bizarre.My not-tough-at-all WS hasn't had any issues with them at all, on Union too.
Still, since you don't even get debt if you are defeated I really don't see what your issue is to be honest. Hosp and carry on. Or start logging off in Hero Corp beside the base portal instead if it really matters that much to you. -

How many times have you actually logged in over the last 2 weeks and found yourself at 5% health?
I've popped in mid-Apocalypse 2 or 3 times now and there has always been at least 30 seconds before I spawn any zombies. Plenty of time to avoid em.
Solution : Move away 50 yards from GG before you log off, so you don't log in in the middle of a scrum. It's not that hard nor takes more than an extra 10 seconds. -

How are they supposed to put up and maintain a German one given the legal difficulties GR came up with last week??
To be honest this "3 sites thing" seems like a bit of an excuse to me, it's not like it was a surprise to them that they'd have more to do.
And it certainly shouldn't take 3 times longer for them to do it either. The Design is already done, all that changes is the languages used. Its 3 varients on one site, not 3 totally different sites. -

The whole of Paragon City is an old indian burial ground, obviously.
Including slanted building roofs and mid-air, apparently (I've had them rise from both recently with my WS. Gave me quite a shock when they rose from the roof, I was up there specifically avoiding em). -

I've a feeling half the missions involving Nemises are nothing to do with him at all. Your contact screwed something up, blames Nemises and sends you off on a 10 mission rampage trashing his stuff to cover his own useless bottom. -

Yep, with Numinas you can all split up into individuals (or small groups) to do the lesser hunts, converging on Founders and Eden as you near the end. There's no need for any particular member of the team to be in the same zone for kills to count.

Although they've gone the other way before with ridiculous explanations for things like Powerset Proliferation so maybe we scared the story writers away.
