Hope its decent beer, not that Tesco muck of Dead_Calms
Erm, there's no location mentioned. Is it to be Atlas? (pictures wedding photos going on beside costume competition & loony jumping bored toons spamming local). -

Remember its the taking part that counts..

That's loser talk. It's grinding the giant ghostie into the ground and scattering his ashes to the four winds while chanting "I'm better than you, I'm better than you" that counts.

Me neither. Thought it was time for a reappearance

If you dont want to do that, can i get your extra slots?
[/ QUOTE ]
Course you can. They're in the post -
5% defence for hover. Not worth it anyway if thats the sole reason for getting it.
I reckon I'll go with something like this build for the moment and do the respec at 26 in case it all goes horribly wrong.
Air Superiority I'm getting for concept more than anything really. If it turns bad I'll change. There's lots to fiddle with in this build anyway (yaay).
My End consumption sucks at the moment too but I reckon I'll tough it out.
*Edit* Just pondering out loud here. Given that (a) I've so many slots that I don't know what to do with em (ta ED) and (b) I don't PvP and probably won't be I wonder if I should drop the two toggles of Assault and Tactics altogether to save End.
Then Hover and the medicine pool could go in instead somewhere. -
Yeah as I said the Slots aren't too exact really but the point on Tactics & the SOs is a good one. It may also count for the Ancillary choices I made. Like do I need another +damage power at 44? But thats a long way off...
As for Hover / Fly I'd hope once I get to 26 and Transference my End problems would be nowt so I could run Fly for knockback protection (I think. I never take the flight pool normally). With Supression it'd be an expensive hover most of the time but I don't see the point of taking Hover just for the End saving. Siphon Speed should minimise the Surpression problem too.
As for Aim mainly that was to boost my damage output when soloing, making Ball Lightning a bit more vicious. Was thinking of fitting the Medicine pool in somewhere to provide a bit more support for teamies (and myself) so maybe Aim could go so I'm not relying on the Kinetics heal all the time as it's useless for Blasters who run off on you when they hit the yellow. -

From Orbit of course. Only way to be sure...
I'd guess that once Villains get to 40ish the mystery madness that makes you attack your fellow heroes will bugger off and Warburg will become a normal PvP zone.
The PvE missions are really handy for grinding. May grind a few tonight and finally hit 40, assuming my (frankly more fun) level 13 sapper doesn't interfere. -
Erm 1st is a Wednesday...
But Veloth is up for this anyway. Just do a Global Chat shoutout beforehand and I'll come a-running. -
Nice lighthearted story.
After this and the comprimising pictures of Ecs with Statesman and Addy she's going to be one popular toon to team with -
Hey all. Currently building one of these guys too. Level 13 at the moment and he's a lot of fun. Here's the build (slots aren't really too relavant). I went with Air Superiority for extra bashing as oppose to Hover

Not going by what would make the most "uber" pairing, but I've always enjoy taking my En/En Blapper out on patrol with my gf's Ill/Rad - Phantom Army are great for grabbing and holding aggro when used properly, AM is great for pumping out that extra damage, and the rest of the Rad secondary makes up for the lack of real control in Illusion.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah Illusion / Rad sounds like the best combo for an energy blaster. You the Phantom Army tank to open up with and grab attention, lots of horrible debuffs with Rad so they can't hit you and you hit them harder, Group Invis to give you both a little extra survivability, an AOE heal and AM for those early game stamina blues. -
Indeed, except that Corrupters have more offensive powers for blasting (might be cancelled out by the Defenders more powerful buffs / debuffs).
And the fact there seems to be a higher % of Corrupters on CoV compared to % defenders on CoH means it happens a lot more frequently too. -
Just Accuracy I think.
About the same as tentacles in Dark Blast I believe :15% for a defender, 60% of that for a MM. The 60% is also why the area effect is small for MMs. -

Drop twilight grasp/life drain (i recently respec'd these out myself)
[/ QUOTE ]Mind telling me how exactly can you drop the first secondary power?
[/ QUOTE ]
Even if you could drop it, why would you? An excellent heal (Ok you've to run towards melee to heal the meatbags but generally that doesn't matter) with a great -acc debuff in it too. -
So last night I was fortunate enough to end up on an excellent all-corrupter team. There was a Dark/Kin (me), nrg/kin, rad/rad and dark/ice.
Talk about high speed annilation. It was 2 level 23/24s (me and the d/ice) sk'd to the 2 28s. We tore through 29/30 missions (including a bank job) with absolutely no deaths at all, not one. The amount of kinetics stacks we had was ridiculous. AM, 5 SPs, 1 speed boost and 2 siphon speeds I counted at one point.
I've had this before with all-corrupter teams too. Just total nukage. No need to Tank at all. Buff, debuff and heals all the way.
So does CoV suffer the "City of Blasters" syndrome that CoH apparently used to have way back at Issue 1? And if so do you think Mr Nerf Bat cometh for us? -

In order for the Pavlovian punishment/reward training to be effective, I shall allow beer in the camps.
Not the expensive stuff, mind. Tesco's Value Beer, with better types available to those who properly restrain their controlling habits.
[/ QUOTE ]
Urrrgh. I'll never control again, just don't put that gunk in my mouth.
Pretty effective incentive actually. And there was Pavlov messing around with wires and currents. All he needed was Tesco beer.
Although I've heard the Geneva Convention forbids the use of Tescos Beer on humanitarian grounds. -
Welcome back Aerie.
From another of the "we know you but you probably don't know us" brigade! -
If I'm on I'll shout in the Forgotten Warriors Chat to see if its going ahead. An extra respec would give Carni some room to mess about with her powers.
-
LOL. Class.
I look forward to re-education camp. Will there be beer? -
Howling Twilight I use more often to disorientate a mob. Assuming I've another resser in the team. But i waited until level 16 to get it (I don't bother with Stamina).
One zombie of the two can be a bit useless getting into combat alright. I've Master Zs numeric keybinds set up, with the addition of lcrtl+lbutton also mapping to the goto command. The Grave Knights suffer from this as well so I used to move them in manually at the start of fights to absorb alpha strikes (Darkest Night + Fearsome Stare firing off as the zombies get noticed).
Thats the best bit of advice I can offer. Get Master Zs binds and use them, regardless of what you choose in the end. Always be issuing orders to your pets. Mine are always on Passive attacks or defensive attacks. Rarely do I allow they to be in Aggressive. Sometimes at the opening of combat I use Aggressive Move so they choose different targets to hold aggro on but once they're in combat they are switched to passive attacks. -
With Dark I'd say the first 7 powers are worth picking.
It's that good a set. -
I get a lot of brutes teaming with me, being Dark Kinetics. Love buffing em and watching them scurry off happily like a kid in a funfair.
Until they get themselves in bovver and I have to try to rescue them.
Playing with brutes is like minding my 5 year old nephews & nieces. Great fun but you gotta keep an eye on them and they get everywhere.
*siphons speed and legs it away from all the brutes he's just irked*
