Aw, that was thoughtful of you. You took your shirt off before you dove in so your super-butler wouldn't have to have it dry-cleaned when you got back to the crimecave.

I don't see many of the characters I have right now making a move, except my original villain, who's had a get-me-out-of-this-hellhole backstory since CoV beta. (I had no idea at the time that they were going to dill around this long before getting around to implementing what should've been one of CoV's core features.

Quote:The problem there is, what if you've got 120 characters on your server of choice, and your Internet startup goes bust and you have to ramp back your game spending to the bare minimum? Do you have to delete 112 of them?Multi-tiered subscription rates:
For $10/month you get 8 slots per server, with a maximum of 12.
For $15/month you get the current.
For $20/month you get 18 slots per server, with a maximum of 60.
For $100/month you get 120 slots per server, with no maximum. And as a free gift you get the jet pack, too! (.. I'm kidding, but I could almost see someone doing it.) -
I was digging around in my desk drawer a while ago, looking for the menu from the Chinese takeout, when I discovered an unused Auto Assault time card. This puzzled me quite a bit at first, since I never played Auto Assault, but then I dimly remembered hoarding a handful of the cards when the game went under.
It's like getting your winter coat out of the closet in November and discovering a $5 bill you forgot in one of the pockets!
Oops! How'd I manage to do that, now? This was supposed to be in City Life. Guess I'll blame the cold meds.
("Are you drunk?" "No, I have a cold! It's the same one I've had for two years, I just can't seem to shake it. I'm high as a kite and my teeth are green!") -
... Except that he's wrong.
Quote:My biggest gripe is that they are not addressing the whole side switching issue to make it true side switching.

One sees the phrase "platform independent gaming" thrown around a good bit on the Interwebs these days, but given that CoH isn't platform independent, it doesn't seem that likely to be connected.

I'm not entirely sure of your question, so I'll see if I can cover all the bases:
1) You can stack different edition on the same game account without a problem; my account, for instance, has the original CoH, CoH DVD, CoV DVD, and Good vs. Evil Edition codes on it.
2) You can also create multiple game accounts on the same master account using different retail codes. A lot of people did this by accident when they intended to do 1) above when CoV first came out, thanks to the way the account management screen used to be laid out. Note that if you do this, the multiple game accounts can't share characters or anything, even though they're under the same PlayNC master account.
3) I haven't tried to apply multiple codes from the same edition to a single game account (i.e. two copies of CoV DVD). I don't see why it wouldn't work, but, as you see below, I'm told it doesn't. -

Quote:Good grief, you guys, I already explained it once over on page 1.Can someone at least give me a link that will partially explain what this thread is about? I hate twitter and I can't find anything by BaB or Posi on it.

Quote:They should be fair game for everyone. Nobody likes a traitor.Talking of PvP - I wonder how it will work with Rogues and Vigilantes? If they can access both sides, would that mean they could choose which side to fight on in the PVp zones? Or maybe they might still be flagged according to their starting side, like Vigilantes in Siren's Call could only fight on the blue side?

It doesn't seem to work on the doors inside the Arena any more, either, which is a shame. I spent the better part of a hilarious evening with a small team working the balcony doors in the Talos Island Arena. What made it hilarious was mainly the fact that one of us was a Gravity Controller, so after a while the balcony area got to be practically choked with Propel debris, which bounced insubstantially out of our way in an extremely amusing manner, especially when it was a Buick. Also, because nobody else appeared to have thought of it, we had the place to ourselves. Ah, peace.

Oh, it's got nothing to do with Twitter, at least not directly. It's just a couple of punchy board users (I'm hopped up on cold medicine, for instance) riffing on the thread about how Going Rogue is going to be disappointing, based on what's come out of HeroCon about it. We figured, well, if you're gonna get that far ahead of the doom curve, we might as well go for the gusto and predict what was going to be wrong with Issue 18.

Heh, that happened to my Mastermind, too. I was forced to assume that she took one from one of the Longbow officers who showed up with the hero and called it a day, though the idea of presenting Lord Recluse with a pair of some hapless hero's underpants does have a certain appeal.

And can you believe they're going to waste developer time on that? I mean, seriously?

Quote:The Maritime Provinces have weather; I know because it appears on the weather maps on my local news here in Maine. It's weird, though - it's always hella cold over there. On a lovely summer day when it's 75 degrees in Fort Fairfield, ME, right across the way in Perth-Andover, NB, it'll be 24! There must be some kind of weather forcefield at the border...That's true in real life, too. I know because on the Weather Channel, there is no weather in Canada: No clouds, no storm fronts, no radar... apparently, there is nothing there for the radar to blip off of.
