The description of megalomanis badge is somewhat ambiguous
"You wanted more control and now you have it. Activating this power increase all of your Sleeps, Holds, Immobilize and Confuse powers for 60 seconds."
Vanguard is supposed to double the duration of mezes the description of vanguards power is:
"When activated, your Vanguard Medal will double the duration of all your Disorient, Hold, Immobilize, Fear, Confuse and Sleep powers. Knockback distance is also increased. The effect of this boost will last for 1 minute. You can only activate the Vanguard Medal once every 25 minutes. "
I haven't read the description of the megalomania power. However I thought that Vanguard doubled magnitude as well as doubling duration. -
Is there a cap to the magnitude of a hold or mez?
I ask as as far as I understood it Domination doubles the magnitude of all your holds / mezzes. The Accolade Megalomaniac also doubles the magnitude of holds / mezzes. Am I better off triggering both at the same time to get 4 times the magnitude or hitting them one after the other so that I can continue to hold / mez Heroes? (Currently lvl 46 so facing a lot ovf AV powered Heroes) -
Another one for "Obey The Stickler" that one stuck in my memory

Theres an old saying that friends help you move but real friends help you move bodies...where did you wantme to put that axe again Jakey?
It seems to me that in todays celebrity endorcement world that the people promoting good causes are often by default those people most contrivuting to the badness in the first place. The fact that a drug adicted superhero would be used as a role model to keep kids off drugs makes as much sence to me as Jade Goodie beenig made Britains new race ambasador. -
I recently cobbled together an "anti drug" style poster featuring one of Honourable United's very own Jakey K. You can see it here.
It's no where near as good as the above example.
(It's probably worth noting that Jakey is himself a big fan of Catnip) -
I have a pretty "agressive" build atm
From Plant I took:
Stangler
Roots
Seeds of Confusion
Vines
Carrion Creepers
Venus Fly Trap
From Thorn I took:
Thorny Darts
Fling Thorns
Impale
Aim
Thorntrops
Ripper
Thorn Barrage
The only power that I find underperforms is Thorn Barrage as it feels quite inacurate and does knockback which plants holds do not resist against. Ripper is a bit slow due to it's long animation time but generally is OK.
The essential Powers for me are SoC and Carrion Creepers making my Dominator into a sort of "aggro management" troller... -
I took Mako as my Patron on Brussel Sprout (Plant/Thorn) and whislt I like Waterspout a lot I'm not really sure what the best slotting is for it.
Plants holds/immobs tend to be effected by knockback so I don't want to enhance that paret but is there something more original I can do than just 3 Dam 1 Recharge?
I can slot it for fear (never seen it cause fear yet) or disorient (sometimes hapens) -
Better late than never...Downright Dirty's all round [censored] kicking Energy/Electric Brute pummeled his way up to level 50 a couple of days ago. That makes SinghMC the proud owner of 4 level 50 toons which adds upto some sort of number I can't even begin to calculate.
Congrats Lightning Septre -

In terms of the story if the queen isn't going to let Nandelles defence atourney speak anyway why bother with a show trial in the first place? Proper dictators skip straight to the sentancing. Its far more corrupt to just say "you're guilty cause I say you are"
If it is a show trial anyway then "attack with a liquid weapon" needs more detail cause it sounds like Nandelles spilt her drink on the Queen by mistake at the moment. If the prosecuter is trying to rabble rouse the court he'd go into detail about the attack itself....also theres no reaction from the court itself during the trial. I would assume gasps of horror or murmurs of disaproval.
Also if the punishment is to be transmuted to another form of fairy then I'd spend more time establishing the court as aristocracy...you describe them as a "mottley collection" which reduces their status ...seeing as Nandelles going to have her status reduced it's more importnat that the people who see it happen have stus in their society.
Is one of the guards who drags Nandelle to the court the same as the one that helps her at the end? This is a little unclear sas you don't establish the race of the first set of guards and seeing as Nandelle has been struggling against them it seems unlikely that they would help her out. -
Good idea - you post your build and we'll tell you whats wrong with it.

Sorry to see a whole bunch of internet DRAMA~! breaking out all over the Defiant Events channel. Seeing as it's pretty much the equivalent of watching two hobos fighting over a bottle of whiskey can we try to cut it out?
I didn't follow the abserdidties of the argument in full, however 3 things arose.
1. If you feel you've been insulted then you should /petition and /ignore and then let the GMs deal with it.
2. If you feel people are being too sensative then /ignore them
3. Theres no way someone should get banned from a global channel for something they said on a DIFFERENT channel. Very disapointed in the moderator that did that as they should be setting a better example.
Lets not see Defiant Events turn into a version of Arena. -
Well Done everybody.
Very well organised and efficiently run.
The only critisism I would say is that if the organisers are going to start to go into Warcraft speek they can't complain when others follow them. EVEN GROUP - WHELPS - DOTS, DOTS, DAMNIT MORE DOTS! -
My problem with these "how to draw" is that they normally start with "Page 1 draw a stick figure" then about 2 pages of really cool looking stick figures in various poses...
What I need is the book called "how to draw stick figures"
Fro now onI'm using "Even a Monkey can draw Manga!" as my only reference point. -

These are not exploits. This is design fault and the fact that the devs insist to not change this bad creation shows something.
[/ QUOTE ]
I disagree - the cause is poor zone design on behalf of the Devs the effect is players exploiting the bad zone desgn to enable them to do things that the game is not desinged to do.
TP from within a base is an exploit used by players that is caused by the poor design of the zone/poor implementation of game design. In this case players are exploiting poor design to gain an unfair advantage. -
*shakes fist*
I'll get you next time Singh - and your little dog too!

You know ther bizzaro universe where good is bad, black is white and cats and dogs live in peace? - even in that universe none of my characters can beat Singh.

Best moment of the night was getting an ice tank to drone himself chasing me. -
I spent some time last night in Sirens Call as I needed the raider badge for one of the villain accolades (and which ever developer thought that requirement up needs a good old fassioned slap)
Seems that theres a "blind spot" in the villain base that allows heroes to be able to TP Foe you straight from outside the hospital to outside of drone range. I lost count of the time I rez'd, rested came out the base and WHAM TP Foe WHAM Two shotted by the scrappers sitting in the blindspot.
I know that the hero base was redisigned so that stalkers couldn't make their way past some blindspot in the heroes defence (sneaking allong the war walls?) looks like the villain base needs the same blindspot eliminated.
I'm not a fan of PvP and last nights trawl didn't convince me that I'm going to change anytime soon. Bah what do I know I'm playing a dominator in Sirens Call I might as well have a huge "KILL ME FOR FREE REP" sign on my back. -
I hearby approve this as teh awesome!
Seeing as it's my character and I gave Jakey a brief referencing a film he hasn't even watched he did a great job of making Brussel look like he's about to lay some serious controlling down on all and sundry. -
I'm organising a go at the Operative Renault Strike Force. Details are as follows:
Date: 26th September
Time: 8pm BST
Location: Sharkhead
Level: 25-30 Recommend being at upper level for this although lackey will be available.
/Tell Brussel Sprout
I tried this SF before and recommend being at the upper end of the level of this SF as the second mission is a high level hunt. The final mission has 2 AVs in a row The second AV (Eye of Leviathan) has a LOT of knockback and Psi damage - I recomend bringing a Shivian allong with you.
Theres a sign up thread on the honourable United forum here -
I don't find that Creepers knocks down all that much...but seeing as critters attack the creepers before they attack you that doesn't concern me to much. From what I understand enhancing creepers with imob would enhance the duration of the imob efect that they have (IE spawning immobs if they kill an enemy) it wouldn't effect the knocking down of the first part of their attack.
-
Confuse is great as is such a "high priority" aggro sponge. Confused enemies pretty much HAVE to attack each other and seeing as in my experience pretty much nothing in CoV holds aggro better than a plant Dom. Seeds is perfect "Aggro-b-gone" (I'm not sure if Taunt trumps Confuse as I've never seen a Brute with Taunt).
Carrion Creepers is another great power for eliminating unwanted aggro as enemies seem to want to take out creepers BEFORE attacking you although I find it much better for occupying an unagressive mob rather than sucking aggro from a mob thats already attacking. -

It's the colouring that I'm most impressed with.

I think it's Lucy Lu who gets the title of "Bootylicious" (just to the right of Bayanis head, "Lu" visable between Bayanis jacket and Shutterbug)
Damn I just noticed the Pocket D flier as well!
Damn I just noticed the original comic book on the floor as well!
