Mako's Patron Powers?

I'm edging ever closer to my Patron picks and was now starting too put thoughts towards whom i should choose, so far by looking at the plaques i've narrowed it down to Mako and Ghost Widow...more towards Mako as its one i've never tried yet (ain't tried GW yet either, but see less of Mako and wanna be different), plus i kinda think the melee based pet will be more of a help when supporting my Imps.

Which brings me to the reason for this post:

Does anyone have or have the means to take some screenies of Bile Spray, Shark Skin and the pet, i ask this as i like to go with powers that suit the look of my toon and just want too see the GFX of those powers before i commit myself to him.

Sounds a bit vain and probably is, but whats the point in being evil if you don't look good while doing it

(and anybodies thoughts on his set wouldn't go a miss either)

Peace out, Boyz!

bile spray is possibly the worst looking power ever but the rest of the Mako powers are pritty cool, for the minion take a look round port oakes for a coralax they look like that as for the armor, slight bluey glow with makos sybol flashing up every now n then

Back when I7 was on test there was a thread on the US board that had pictures of all the new Patron Powers. Can't find it now, though.

If I rememver right, the creatures around Port Oakes are Coralax Hybrids, whereas the Patron Pets are true Coralax - they look somewhat like Earth Control's Animated Stone pet.

The Water Spout is awesomeness. Behaves much like Storm Control's Tornado, but looks much, much cooler.

The Dominator Pet for Mako *is* a Coralax Blue Hybrid, Corruptors and Doms get the hybrids, Brutes and Stalkers get the Coralax Guardian big guys.

...just to add...I think Ghost Widow as a patron is by far the worst one for the actual powers in the dominator set. The +End power has such a long recharge I'd say it's worthless, the armour is OK, a fairly weedy AoE attack and on paper a so-so pet.

Mako gets you a reasonable extra control power, probably not a bad cone attack power (all toxic damage), a resistance armour for S/L and cold which is fairly rare but probably useful in PvP, the pet looks like it would be pretty good.

Mu Mastery seems to be the most well liked because of the great Power Sink for +End, good armour, and now a pet which has turned into a great healer - a better heal than Aid Self every 20 seconds. Find a corruptor that can do that.

If you wanted to go all out attack, Black Scorpion might be a good option with a -Res power and what looks like the most lethal pet. A weak +Def armour makes it not great for PvP but probably OK for PvE especially with Power Boost which apparently boosts Def while active.

Thanks for clearing that up, I was just going from (bad) memory.

I was definitely tempted by the Mu Mastery set because of the healing pet, but always convince myself that i don't need a healer...by the time i get that pet i would've done 47 levels without one, so could probably manage the finally 3 lvls without one. As for Power Sink, my dom is a Fire/Fire so could always grab consume if End usage becomes a problem.

The main reason behind wanting to choose Mako is for the cone attack and a melee pet...concept for the toon is a Fire Imp (original i know ) and thought that spittin acid over someone would be pretty cool, will probably run with Mako and just see how it fairs.

Bile spray isnt too bad and the animation prolly looks better from any angle but the one you see it from. Its good for me as its another non-psi attack to help against psi resistant groups. I expect it would be good if you bunch the mobs up and use cones and AoE's (a popular plant/fire strategy). Its worth trying the powers on test, I had my heart set on water spout until I tryed both powers.

There was definitely a video on the US forums a Stalker made demonstrating how he solo'ed an AV with Water Spout... I'll see if I can find it again.

EDIT: Not AVs sorry, just Bosses. But here are the videos:

Wish I knew, I havent gotten that far yet, soon though. Until then, the safe money is to bet against the pet being much use :P
Prolly give it a try on test when it becomes available. Speaking of which, I still have a copy on test with water spout & bile spray if people are desperate to have a look at them.

Nice vid of the Nin/Nin stalker with the water spout in action.

Bile spray looks great Once I get it myself, how would I set it up to use the power and then do the burp emote? Or would I need to just do the emote normally after the power?

The problem with binds and macros with the $$ command is they'll try and execute everything simultaneously, so yes you would have to set up the emote seperately and activate it manually after the power is finished, as power animations tend to overwrite emotes.

That said, there's a burp emote??

[/ QUOTE ];burp, suprisingly

I think the warwolves are only NPC's that use it.

I took Mako as my Patron on Brussel Sprout (Plant/Thorn) and whislt I like Waterspout a lot I'm not really sure what the best slotting is for it.

Plants holds/immobs tend to be effected by knockback so I don't want to enhance that paret but is there something more original I can do than just 3 Dam 1 Recharge?

I can slot it for fear (never seen it cause fear yet) or disorient (sometimes hapens)

Assuming it's just like the storm summoning tornado you could slot it for -def. whack tornado on someone in pvp and it'll bypass all but the most powerful defensive powers.

For PvE though i'd say a mixture of dam, rec and stun. best to use with an immob to get the most out of the damage.

I want him at the shrinking of the tide;

And last year's leaves are smoke in every lane;
But last year's bitter loving must remain

The immobs aren't.

Sometimes it works the other way. I have a nice Domination/roar bind set up that works enough times for me to enjoy it.

I'd bind Bile Spray and Burp to two buttons and hit them in sequence and to control the timing.

If you hit Bile Spray off a numpad button, you can always set a control or shift bind off the same key for ease.

/bind numpad9 powexec_name Bile Spray
/bind lshift+numpad9 em Burp

Edit: Also, what I'd really want on a character is the similar power Facemaker has. A lot like Bile Spray but green and posionous. Seemed it had big hold component a lot like /Traps Poison Trap. I was really impressed when she gobbed it all over me...

...that sounds so wrong and dirty

Finally got around to putting fraps back on my pc. Look forward to a mako demo soon :O)

Facemaker's puking attack might be the hold from the MM /Poison set. Neurotoxic Beath works better visually though! MMs get access to Bile Spray, too!

Someone asked for it though, plus it will only take a few minutes.
