Quote:My mistake. It might just be my view on things, but I've been seeing this same "don't judge it yet cause it's not finished" attitude actually IN the feedback threads, and it kinda felt like the same thing here. Sorry about that.Yeah cuz this is a feedback thread? And in the beta forum? Y'know, where the -developers- like Synapse and Positron are paying attention for that exact kind of thing instead of the PR reps like Freitag and Zwill who have no control whatsoever over game mechanics?
Just saying.
Just saying. -

Quote:That and Animal Masterminds. You don't remember people requesting a "street fighting" type of martial arts instead of all the kicking of MA from day 1? Good grief, that's just about all I remember!
<edit> but that was really day one of City of Villains coming out, or ~day 515. -
The popularity of Masterminds has increased by at least one (me) because of Beast Mastery. So there's THAT...:P

Quote:They should only do this if they also make a P90 custom weapon for assault rifle on the same day. When Staff Melee first hit beta, there was a guy in one of the Global Channels I frequent that spent over half a day raging about how the devs had missed the boat by wasting their resources on making Staff a melee set, instead of making it a blast set. He wanted magic staves and/or Goa'uld staff weapons. He also seemed to be of the impression that since staves were now melee weapons, there was no chance that the devs would ever make the "Staff Blast" set he wanted, because there was no way that they would ever use one weapon in two different powersets, like they did with Archery, Trick Arrow, and Ninjas.

You think only the Masque can come to the conclusion that your statement was an attack? What WAS it designed to do? Calling someone out by pointing to their specific username and then saying it basically invalidates what they say.
Are you trying to make someone feel GOOD? It doesn't look like it.
It is not NEUTRAL, either. It is very specific to that one username. What does that leave?
Are you saying anything about the subject of the conversation, ie Clown Summoning as a joke or in the game? Only if you define "I looked at your complaint" very broadly.
So, if it is not an attack, what is it? What is that statement adding? -
Quote:I read your complaint. I read your name. Let's just leave it at that.Quote:I think it's pretty telling that both people in this thread who are taking this so "seriously" have "PvP Bootcamp Mentor" as a title.
Move along folks, nothing to see here.
""An ad hominem (Latin for "to the man" or "to the person"), short for argumentum ad hominem, is an attempt to negate the truth of a claim by pointing out a negative characteristic or belief of the person supporting it.[1] Ad hominem reasoning is normally described as a logical fallacy.[2][3][4]"" -
Quote:Well, it wasn't really "pseudo" until they changed it. :PWhen will people realize that the Devs don't usually outright STOP people from doing questionable, pseudo-exploitative things. They usually just make those questionable, pseudo-exploitative things so annoying to accomplish that the overwhelming vast majority of the playerbase gets the hint and stops doing those silly things.
-
You're assuming they aren't doing it on purpose, just to mess with us. This latest incident kinda leans that way. lol
-
They need to add a "check name" feature for every time the Devs try to add a badge name. Then maybe we would have "Gate Crasher2" or "Gate.Crasher" or something.

Quote:This mission probably is intended for those that have progress to make on the incarnate path, and therefore are not level 50+3...Well apparently that's what happens when you come loaded for bear and your difficulty settings are still set for teddy bear. Now I have to do it again with better settings just so I can see what those "bosses" even do, besides vaporize.
And I don't believe in the word "overkill", it's always just enough "kill". haha -
Of COURSE there are! When you change code, you make bugs. That's just the way programming works. The best we can hope for is the ones that make it through are minor or can be fixed quickly.

Quote:I would counter with the fact that learning expressions or idioms is part of knowing how to speak a language. It's just dumb, so people misuse a word so we will copy them? Good job, copy people who don't know how to speak the language.
BUY A DICTIONARY PEOPLE!
Trowing is not flying. (it doesn't fly, flying assumes under ones own power)
Medium is not long. (Long hair goes BELOW the shoulders)
Primary is not Secondary... (Primary means MAIN! 1st! the largest part!)
Learn what the words mean before you use them in a professional setting! Misleading your customers is not a good way to get money, its a good way to get sued, and/or lose customers.
and 250 points for that?!?!?! something with no value what-so-ever? it's expensive at 40! -
Quote:I know you didn't really forget about Darkness control...It's just worth mentioning.I really, REALLY, hope that new powersets are released before March 16th. Otherwise I will have nothing new worth playing for double XP. And I am betting that I am not the only veteran that feels that way.
Meh. So what? Issue 22 will still be here. It's not like you have to choose. -
What does that say about US, though? The contacts might be thinking, "You know, we called you on six different occasions, and now three heroes are dead. You can go ahead and sit the rest of this out. We're thinking maybe we'll give Blast Furnace a chance instead..."

Hey, Lady Grey? Remember the last time every single member of the Freedom Phalanx died, and you just popped in and rezzed everyone, even fixed it so Positron was no longer suffering from the condition that kept him trapped in his armor? Yeah, one more rez please.

Quote:Or change the name of the story to "how MANY will die?"*SPOILERS*
On it's own, this chapter was alright for story development. But the thing that bugged me was this came right after one of the biggest moments in CoH history. Statesman had died. But it just felt like it almost completely ignored that. Aside from Nemesis attacking Portal Corp, which was kinda out of left field, no real mention was made of it. At least villain side, that is. You'd think your street cred would've soared considering your villain was at the scene when it happened, and I doubt Darrin's come forth to claim responsibility.
As for the story itself, all I gotta say is I'm more interested in "Who Won't Die" than "Who Will Die." -
Quote:I think that part is a bit overblown. You would have known who was going to die as soon as you saw the artwork for the loading screen anyway. The death was the climax, the other two parts need to come down from it, I never expected the major death to be the very end of the story. And them "ruining the surprise" like they did just adds to the fiasco.
The Alpha arc is part of why I was hoping the arc would trigger the phasing tech, although that isn't really perfect either, since you can do that before or after the SSA. Hero-1 is already part of the arc, so I think the only answer is to make you talk to Ms. Liberty. -
Quote:That does not appear to be the case. I unslotted a purpled ATIO from my Widow, mailed it to myself, and claimed it on my Spider. It only says I can't slot it because I'm not 50.They (the purpled Catalysted ATOs) are more restrictive than Account Bound, they're Character Bound. Can't even pass them to alts. Same with the Catalysts... once you claim them from the email interface, they are Character Bound. And with I22, Catalysts will be drops... which will be Character Bound.

So you don't have to switch sides to get all the new badges then?
