  1. Yeah, see, the problem with that idea is that it completely throws masterminds and, to a lesser extent controllers, under the bus.
  2. I really hope that they fix this mess before the reactivation week; The wife and I were going to try the new incarnate content on our 50's during that time but if it's as lagtastic as everyone's saying there's just no way.
  3. Hmmmm. Liking the sound of a solo option for Incarnate progress, as well as the new zone and the expanding Incarnate system.
  4. Uhoh. Numa/Posi in canon now. Dark_Respite's gonna be maaaaaad.

  6. Shadows: If you think you have a case, file a ticket with Customer Support. They're generally pretty good about cutting a little slack.
  7. Well. Glad I didn't reup the family subscriptions yet if this is how things are progressing. Hmph.

I will be waiting for a more stable build before you guys will be getting my business again.

(For those wondering how I can post without a sub, I canceled earlier in the month and have yet to be deactivated.)
  8. Sooooo I'm watching this trailer, and I'm loving what I'm seeing...until I come to the fight between the cats and the spiders.
The tiger is using Villain Claw style 2. Should we take this to mean that you guys still didn't manage to make beast claws for the claws powerset?
  9. Oz: They've been leaking pics of the Beast Pack for weeks now. So far we've seen eagle, great cat, wolf, and just a while ago on FB silhouette of the Minotaur. There was another silhouette pic but I didn't see any definite new shapes there. I do think we got a new tail or two though.
  10. For example, we are currently working to integrate City of Heroes into the NCsoft Launcher, which will bring with it a significant improvement to the process of downloading and updating the game for all NA and EU (Mac and PC) customers.

  11. Hey you guys?

Not a shop. Stole it off the FB.
  12. I'll say it again:

    NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO O!!
  13. Aww yay. Congrats to the happy couple.

Although, I'm surprised no mention was made of the Manticore/Sister Psyche wedding event anywhere. Probably so as not to overshadow this awesomeness.
  14. I laughed at the back of the box; it's one of Ava's crossword puzzles that she used to do for costume codes.

I miss those contests. New costumes and I have none of them.
  15. I think perhaps people misunderstood the question about the picture: The guy ABOVE the City logo would seem to be Romulus Augustus. The toon front-and-center is meant to be a player toon.
  16. I said that this was a pack that I'd buy.

    And so I did.

GJ on this one. Maybe next time we can get some temp powers?
  17. Okay, I'll sort this by origin:

Natural: LOVE the leaf cape, and the leaf aura. My faerie defender will be tickled to use these and the new Firefly aura. Thunderhead has obvious uses for Stormies and I love the look of cloud-concealed lightning. Well done.

Science: Whoa Atomic aura. How very Silver Age. Great look, great animation. First thought: Radiation powersets. However, it's not so science-y that it wouldn't work with magic or tech or even Mutant themes. I love the look of the Unified Field cape but I'm having a hard time finding a concept for it just now. Cryogenics is nice and subtle, very understated. Good for ice-based characters especially in some kind of cryosuit or armor, or just those with powers incontinence.

Tech: Ooooh Impervium Mantle. PRETTY. If I can make a palette match with the new Ultra Metallic kit or other Ultra-enabled textures it could be a thing of beauty. The steam and sparks auras are very subtle, perhaps even TOO subtle, but very nice all the same. On the other hand, I can't really think of a use for this outside of robotic or cyborg characters, unless you had a Stone Tank with the lava theme going and RP'ed it as slag and geothermal vents.

Mutant: That Spliced cape looks good and gross in that bio-horror sort of way. Very neat. Would love to see a skin texture like this. The bio-plasma aura is very nice looking and I think I prefer it to the extant fire auras. Can definitely see my mutant-but-was-supposed-to-be-a-demon Claws Stalker using this aura. Toxic vapor is beautiful too; my Poison and Necro masterminds will be pleased.

Magic: This cape is pretty but there's not much of it. Cool design though. I do like the runes and tarot cards auras, esp, when focused on the hands or hands and eyes. The runes might could use a little more opacity though; they were kinda hard to see in the CC (I didn't take them out to play though, so this might just be a CC problem.)
  18. The spelling facist (spelling Arachnos?) in me has to point out the textual errors. That being said,

THIS IS A WORK OF GENIUS. I love me some Dr. Pepper and the Widow's Kiss idea is inspired. Kudos!

  19. Awww yeah. *limbers up fingers* Time to ninja another pack code.

Hopefully I'll be able to attend the party too though.
  20. Agreed we need other sonic blast SFX. Maybe power chords on a guitar, if that is to be an option in the future. You know, "Defeat my enemies with the POWER OF ROCK!" That kind of thing.

Also, I must be the only person who wants a different sound font for Energy Blast. What we have is appropriate and suits it, I would just like some variety.
  21. My characters range from the pun-tastic (Farce of Nature), to the literary homages (Gen. Agamemnon) to the just plain silly (PEU-E, my Energy-type Paragon Enforcer Unit. His fourth directive: Find a better designation)
On the rare occasion I have an actual concept and theme, foreign language helps me get around the "your name is already chosen" message.

Half the time I pick powers based off of whether I intend to team or solo; it's hard to solo a Defender.
  22. LOL, Lothic. Did you slot Jump in your Conclusion power because DANG. That was quite a large assumption you just made there on no evidence at all.

    *edit*
And I will say it again: I would sooner pay for costume pieces than have to unlock them. And you can take that to the bank.
You know, Sam, most of the time I agree with your opinions in the game. But if you have such an aversion to interacting with groups of people you probably shouldn't be playing a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.
  24. Obsidius: I don't really see how this is any different from players making nuke runs for other large encounters like the STF, LRSF, ITF, etc. except the scale of players. I figure if they're willing to put in the obscene amount of effort to harvest the nukes (24 players all farming scientists at once in Warburg? The spawn sizes must go NUTS) then they should be allowed to use them. The devs shouldn't punish players for using the tools that the devs gave them just because the new (old) endboss has an achilles heel in the form of massive nuclear assault. Some of the best monsters in the history of myth and legend had that "one weakness" that turned the fight from victory to defeat. Are the devs suddenly Stop Having Fun Guys?
