    SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADAKOOOOOOOOOOOO.

    *crawls out of the TV*

    OK, what's the problem? Aha...

    [ QUOTE ]
Basically, I want to know how Reichsman apparently made such a huge difference in Axis America's World War II when Statesman didn't seem to have as much an impact in primal earth's World War II.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We know that Reichsman used his powers 'in the service of the Axis powers on his world, leading them to victory over their foes.' That doesn't mean that Reichsman alone made the difference between victory and defeat for the Axis powers, only that he was in a position of leadership in the field.

I think it's a safe assumption that other heroes of the time threw their lot in with the Axis in that world, much like the way Praetoria contains evil, 'mirror' versions of not only Statesman but the entire Freedom Phalanx. Unfortunately we know very little about these potential Axis versions of our well-known Primal Earth heroes.

Even in Primal Earth, we had the Storm Korps led by Eisensturm, who dealt serious damage to the Allies (even kidnapping the King of England at one stage). Perhaps the Axis America version of the Storm Korps was even more fearsome.

In fact, if you wanted to look for a single moment when the whole conflict hung in the balance, then the clash between the Dawn Patrol and the Storm Korps would be it:

    [ QUOTE ]
The most daring Storm Korps raid came within a hair's breadth of striking a tremendous blow against British morale. Three Storm Korps super soldiers, led by the nefarious Eisensturm, managed to breach Buckingham Palace's defenses and kidnap his royal highness the King of England. Alistair Sutton, leader of the Dawn Patrol, chased the kidnappers down and fought Eisensturm to a standstill in the Scottish Highlands. He bought enough time for the rest of the Dawn Patrol to arrive and help rescue the captured monarch from the hands of fascist villainy. It was shortly after this that American victories in Africa drew off much of the Storm Korps' resources and many credit Sutton's victory over Eisensturm as the turning point of the war for Great Britain and the Dawn Patrol.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Perhaps in Axis America the leader of the Storm Korps was not Eisensturm but Reichsman. Reichsman would have been far more able to deal with Sutton, and the whole kidnapping plot that failed in Primal Earth would have succeeded in Axis America, dealing a fatal blow to British morale.

If Britain had fallen in this way, the American heroes would have been stretched far too thin, and Axis morale would have been at its height. The Fifth Column in America would have been reinforced, leading to eventual Axis victory there.

    Hope that helps.

Fact. Somebody has there panties in a bunch today

    [/ QUOTE ]

Did Lacry really just not believe that Taunt vs. no Taunt has been a revolving issue since beta? Did they ask for proof of that? Have they not been here?

Heck, there was a guide written by me in I8 about it, because the debates were pointless and pretty mcuh happening all the time.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Remember when it was Taunt vs Provoke arguments. Taunt was auto hit but single target. Provoke was AoE but with To-Hit.

I prefer the Taunt or No-Taunt arguments myself

Yes yes yes. Nothing is more satisfying than taking you level 50 to Atlas, yelling at the mobs, and watching them fall down dead

It is a mixed bag. Some swear by it, others shun it out of spite. Many site right in the middle and take it when it will help a build.

Me..The way I see it you get more aggro with it than without. If you need it is the real question.
  8. I have not checked in a while, but I use to be on top of Rikti kill list...before they changed the crash site into the war zone

I still don't believe anything like this is necessary.

    [/ QUOTE ]

then can you explain why invul is ok to buff to s/l cap and fire is not?

cause im STILL trying to figure out how you justify that one

    [/ QUOTE ]

FA adds more damage output, has a fast heal and an endurance recovery power and Invuln does not.

    That was easy

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not as easy as you would think.

In the beginning we had 4 Ice sat at the Defense/Passive mitigation end with it's ability to slow and sleep Inv and Stone sat in the middle with a good mix of Resistance, Defense, and various forms of mitigation

Then there was Fire, sitting on the other end with only Resistance and Damage as mitigation.

Things have changed a lot since then.

Stripping all things aside should a Resistance only set not be able to get the highest unassisted resistance of all sets?

    Gauntlet 2.0

    In before J_B :P

It is an interesting idea. I assume that the flag would only be set by a direct taunt and not the "splash" effect?

How would this function with more than one tank? If I taunt target A, my buddy taunts target b, then I fire FootStomp would both mobs get the higher damage?

  15. I am hoping for a redneck pack myself. With a new travel power that has you inside an early 80s pickup with the back converted into a swimming pool.
  16. Another fairly large update to the arc.

Arc is now officially 4 missions, down from 5.

    - Mission one has had a makeover. You are not entering into a low level Crey facility. This has the effect of the local security force conning Grey to high level players. It also lets the Robots wipe the floor with them.

Don't think Crey is going to sit back and take it. By the time you enter reinforcements are already on the way. Find the Security Chief and you will get some additional help.

    - Created new group for the robot minions and completed custom bio/colors for all of them. This is now correctly applied over all the missions

    - Fixed mission 2 so that the computers "appear" to have the same name. (Hint: Watch the combat text to get an idea if you have the right terminal)

    - Final mission has been fixed. The final spawn has dropped from 3 to 2. Apparently some spawn points moved on my with I15 and caused some spawns not to show.
  17. Since the build is for a set goal I will not comment too much on that. Overall it looks good but you may want to move Temp Protection up a bit earlier. 20% slow resist is nice on a Fire tank and keeps Consume and Healing Flames coming back. It also makes a nice slot for a KB Protect IO, or a +def IO (don't remember the names off the top of my head.)

If possible get one more recharge into Fiery Embrace.

Building to kill faster does not make for a good team player. On any team that is slightly balanced you will be getting more damage coming from the Blasters and Scrappers than you, as a damage specced fire tank, could ever compete against. Solo it is great but on teams it is just a drop in a nearly full bucket.

Defense builds help to leverage the resistance we already have in a multi-layered mitigation strategy. The more layers you can build up the better you will be overall.

My build is more solo friendly and is heavy on recharge followed by regen and recovery. After that I aim for defense, but I only have 7% melee at the moment so it is not much help.

    [/ QUOTE ]

sure but whos on a balanced team EVERY time?..certainly not on my server..lol

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, most teams have more damage than anything else.
  19. Blue: Easy one, Skyway. The design is just BLECH. The raves spiced it up a bit but it is such a shippable zone.

Red: This is a hard one. I love Grandville. Hidden tunnels, buried town, and levels upon levels to climb up. It is a very unique, and unfortunately lagtastic, design.

All the CoV zones are well done but if I have to pick one it is going to be Port Oaks. Never really enjoyed it that much.
  20. I like chaining objectives together. Not sure how complex that makes the arc but it seems to help.

In my sig if you want to take a look.

    Tanker Rivalry?

On standard spawns it is game on. People do not expect Fire to do as well as it does but they learn quickly .

In dangerous encounters rivalry goes out the window. The safety of the team is what matters most and if it will be better served to have me off-tank then so be it.
