Virtue scares me... and Protector actually literally voted me out.

So, what about you guys... don't you want me?

I've been on Freedom (both blue & red side, but mostly blue) for years also, yet never got to team with you. Oh well.

I also play on Virtue, there's some fun folks there. (I just avoid Pocket D however...)

And what's wrong with Aussies! (I come from the land down under).

    Had me wondering also

During my time on Freedom, I've met a lot of people including forumites, such as Turgy & Leo. (Turg, my ingame handle is different to my forum name.)

Now I wonder if Mister Westley really has played on Freedom
Westley, do you use the same in-game global as your name here on the forums?

    I have a 50 Energy/Dev blaster with caltrops also.
I bought just 1 purple from that set (Targeted AoE?) which has a chance for KB in it, and stuck it in caltrops.

Whenever I visit atlas, I drop my proc-trops on the hellions and laugh as I watch them try to run, slowly DoT and flung all over the place as they die.

    • The temp power baseball bat. Makes me laugh every time I use it.
    • Going bowling for baddies in lowbie zones, using repel. My goal is to see how far I can make them go, and what objects I can make them hit & then bounce off.
    • The atlas park victim NPC stampede. I like to fly about, on my empathy/psy defender, and defeat hellions at range. Then the helpless victim madly runs after me. I continue this to see how many I can get to follow me. Max record of mine so far is 25 npcs.
    • Whenever one of my alts gets that temp power (part of a mission), which is much like energy torrent, I like to run around the upper roads in skyway, and send baddies flying off the road and awaaaaaaaaay into the sky and watch them plummet.
    • Force bubble. *glee*
    • The devs actually talking to the players on the forums & taking/giving feedback, and even contributing in humorous posts.
    • Supergroup bases and the ability to stack things to the point you can build some unbelievable creations.
    • Finding hidden stuff / easter eggs in game.
    • My assault bot. He kicks ***. Oooh and both of the animations when you summon your robots and dismiss them -- those flying bots with rocket feet are so cool!
    • Trip mine. I once spent what felt like an eternity, filling up a hallway with trip mines, and then pulled one of the evil praetorian EBs into the hallway to his doom. *muah hahahahhaah*
    • The rez in the poison set - Elixir of Life - never gets old. Love it when used on a player who has never seen it before, and freaking out when they start to puke. Hehehe.

Considering players can go from level 1-50 in a day, having an AT that unlocks at 50 means sweet FA.

Having a level 50 on your account means jack to me these days.

The only thing I look at with respect and pride, are those players, who regardless of their level, are actually FUN to play with, and, play their characters with great skill. That is something to be proud of.
  6. They could add a "super soaker" water pistol, as an unlock.
That way, it matches a suitable appearance with the sets mediocre damage.

    *runs and hides*.
Please don't burn me at the stake for that!

    i17 and hasten

I'd rather sound customisation for Hasten.

Actually, I'd rather a global sound nerf on hasten!

I've had time at wentworths, where multiple toons standing on all sides of me, busy at the brokers, all of them with hasten.
Then the sounds go off, one after the other, like someone hopped into a giant ravine, stuck a loudspeaker on his hands, and let hasten go off.

    BoOooROOOOooOOOOOooOOOOooIIiiiiiiirrrRRReeeeiiiiiiiiiiiii

Sure I could turn the sound off. But I like playing with the sound on, I shouldn't have to switch it off for 1 thing that bugs me.
I wish there was an option just to turn off the sound for hasten, lol.

Super reflexes. I had one (scrapper) and hated it, deleted her several years ago.

Dual pistols. The current animations (which were really well done) just don't suit me, I find them too flashy and annoying after a while. I'm hoping they eventually add an alternative animation like the malta gunslingers have. Also the lack of aim in the set, low damage, redraw, and recharge; isn't compelling me to want to play it just yet.

Fiery Aura set. In my opinion, its just a lot weaker compared to other sets available, and I hate that it is also lacking KB protection.

Stone armor set. Firstly because of preconceptions that "you must have a stone tank/brute for x-y-z TF's" and I absolutely hate cookie cutter builds for teams. Secondly because I like to be try things differently to the norm. And lastly because I absolutely hate the way granite armor looks -- I wish it could be customised not only in texture but in SIZE.
Oh one more -- I also hate the appearance of rooted. It's like a giant cow crapped all over your feet and its stuck there permanently.

Necromancy. The sound and visuals of projectile vomit going off constantly is... off-putting after a while. Plus the minions seem to be easier to shred than paper (in my opinion).
  10. <tongue in cheek sarcasm>
I demand they make Atlas Park a mastermind free zone!

Imagine the lag during a double xp weekend in Atlas, in the middle of a costume contest, and then 20 masterminds show up and they all pull their complete set of pets out.

    *FOOM* Server implodes.

    /e cries Doom

    <end of cheekiness & sarcasm>

They might have to review the ultra mode graphics cards to compensate for mastermind lag hero side
  11. Temp power - walkie-talkie
    Cost: 50,000inf.
    Duration: Lasts 2 hours.
Can be purchased at a fixed price from wentworths / black market.

What it does: lets you talk to ANY of your existing contacts, from any zone.
No more having to run all the way back and forth across zones. You can call your contact using the walkie talkie!

    ---------------------------------

    Wentworths interface for supergroups
    Cost: 10,000,000inf.
Permanent base item, purchased at a fixed price from wentworths / black market.

What it does: works just like the auction house, but from a panel/object placed in your supergroup base.

    ---------------------------------

Mission architect editor Interface for supergroups
    Cost: 10,000,000inf.
Permanent base item, purchased at a fixed price from the ticket vendor at the Architect Building.

What it does: works just like the architect editor, but from a panel/object placed in your supergroup base.

    ---------------------------------

    Temp power - monster detector
    Cost: 100,000inf.
    Duration: 3 uses (clicky power).
Can be purchased at a fixed price from wentworths / black market.

What it does: scans all zones (for your side/faction) for monster activity, and lists which are active in your chat box.
Eg. It might tell you that Adamastor, Jack in Irons, Sally, and Babbage are up & their respective zone.

    ---------------------------------

    In-game emote shop
    Cost: 1,000,000inf per emote
A special shop set up in various zones, that sells *NEW* emotes.
*NOTE* that this does NOT include any emote that is part of a perk or expansion pack, such as the magic pack etc. Those to stay as part of their respective packs only.

These *NEW* emotes are hypothetical (currently not in game) that could be added down the track as part of the emote shop.
These emotes, can be unlocked by completing in-game achievements, such as holiday events, or other objectives. However should you be impatient, or, miss the event, you can purchase them for an inf fee at the in game emote shop.

    ---------------------------------

Temp power - portable teleport beacon
    Cost: 1,000,000inf.
Duration: 3 uses (a clicky power).
Can be purchased at a fixed price from wentworths / black market.

What it does: you click the temp power, it lets you drop a teleport beacon on the ground (similar to how you use an oroborous portal).
This beacon remains in place until the owner of the temp uses it.
Once the owner uses it, it vanishes.
All team members can use the teleport beacon (similar to oro portal).
The teleport beacon can port you to any of the zones on your side/faction.
The temp power has a long recharge (maybe 30 mins or an hour).

    Seriously now.
How long has the ITF been out already (a couple years?), and yet, they have never bothered to fix "lag valley"?
The lag on this mission is so epic, I have been expecting a fix for ages now, yet nothing has been done to fix it...

I have been asking for new maps a lot lately, with more variations to the existing ones, with closed doors opened into new hallways, etc.

    Personal answers:
    Unnecessarily clunky team formation
Lack of supply and excess inflation on markets, especially Red
Lack of PvP support (distant third place, though)
    • Server lag
    • Client crashes (the ones after a new patch)
    • Zoning takes too long (even on a high performance pc)
    • Gopher missions. (run across 3 zones and go talk to Wincott/Peebles etc, then kill 20 of something in another zone, then run back to contact in another zone.)
    • Contacts who wont let you call them, even after the 4th mission.
    • The player list bug - tells you player is on the mission map, when he isn't, he is really in his supergroup base. Or sometimes if they are in their base, the player list tells you he is on an arena map. This causes all sorts of problems for timed missions & mayhem/safeguards.
    • The inability for players on a trial account to REPLY to tells.

I'm sure ill think of more later, but these ones off the top of my head annoy me a lot.

What things do you want in the game that we'll almost certainly never see happening?
The things I mentioned are things that myself, and/or others would like to see, but don't expect to happen.

Thus they are quite fit to be posted here in this very thread.
You know, because, as the OP said, to post things here that we *want* to see in game, but would almost never see happening.

The OP never mentioned any rule about not being able to post anything that had already been suggested before.

If you have a problem with that, instead of jumping in and posting your own new rules for this thread, maybe you should go and start your own.

These things we'd like to see have already been suggested (most of them) in other threads that are years old and have been flogged to death, and never implemented. Hence, them being posted here as things we will never see.
    • The ability to *****-slap those stupid NPC's running around like headless chickens inside missions. You know the ones. The NPC's that panic, yet never leave the bloody map.
    • The ability to pick up and fling/carry an NPC over your shoulder when you are doing a kidnap mission, instead of having to wait for the slow idiot to follow you out without getting lost.
    • You are a super villain. A car drove into you in Port Oakes, it pushed you off the street. WTF? I'm a villain, and I want to punch my fist into the bonnet of the car and make it implode into a firey ball of doom, or alternatively, pick it up by the nose and throw it into the next vehicle in sight.
    • Simplified respecs - where you have the option to keep your existing powers without having to rechoose them all over again, but just drag the slots about to reallocate them to where you prefer them to be.
    • Simplified respecs#2 - where you have the option to keep your existing powers without having to rechoose them all over again, but swap them about to suit what level you *should* have picked them at. That way, when you exemplar down to say level 14, you still have superspeed like you really wanted to have it, instead you bungled your respec and accidentally picked it at level 30.
    • game time cards for sale in Australia.
    • Clown power sets. (Posi hates clowns apparently. Yes, I asked for a clown control power set.)
    • Base raids
    • Vanguard power sets proliferated
    • Scrappers with guns
    • The mythical magical much rumoured "Nerf Bat" (it was supposed to make targeted players vomit)
    • Map walls that don't allow enemy mobs to get stuck in them, especially from knock back.
    • A new travel power pool set, with techy options, including a special flight power that involves you wearing a special cap with a propellor on top, that lifts you up, up, and awayyyyyy...
    • Animals and other critters in the game environment (other than the seagulls in port oakes and the roaches in the sewer). There are so many garbage cans in the paragon isles, they seriously yearn for rats and stray cats to accompany them.
    • Base rent to have an auto-billing option.
    • city vault (it was supposed to happen then got canned. *I think* it was meant to be some sort of website with stats about your characters.)
    • kheldian butt-sashes added as costume pieces for players
    • The ability to click a button that says "put all salvage in auction house" instead of having to click/drag forever... (where it puts the max possible into your available auction slots).
    • A way to kill cutscenes (seeing Dr Aeon go 'blah blah blah' during the statesman task force is getting more annoying each time).
    • Removal of server lag. You know the stuff. It happens during ritki zone invasions, double xp events, and brand-new-events such as when the zombie invasion first took place. The type of lag that shows your powers ready to use, but you can't click them, and neither can the other 50 players standing around you.
    • A revamp of the server status screen (where you choose which server to select). Keep the low/medium/high load dots, but add a 2nd column after that, showing current population of players logged in on each server. That way, just because a server with efficient load capacity, showing a green dot won't mislead those that don't understand what the load level really means.
    • The ability to promote/demote supergroup members who are not online, and, the ability to invite players (including your alts) to supergroup that are also not currently online.

Same problem in Australia. They also stopped selling game time cards a couple of years ago. You are lucky to find ONE lonely little city of villains box tucked away in the back of the stores shelves. And yes, they are the Australian distributors for PlayNC. They just don't actually distribute much at all in terms of CoH other than massive disappointment.
  23. So a friend of mine in game told me how he was at the tailors, and that the face maker seemed to have some sort of face-lift-gone-wrong.

So I had to take a look, and, oh the horror... the horror...

Seems the facemaker was given a face lift by one of the embalmed, it might as well have self exploded mid-surgery given the resulting face left on the facemaker.

Maybe someone could order her a big brown paper bag to cover her up until we find a surgeon apt enough to move her ears off her face, and put them back on the sides of her head, and also move her face back to where it should be.

On the bright side, at least her *** didn't end up where her face is and vice versa.

I'll PM a couple of devs and see if anyone knows about this.

Oh here are some screenies for those who are brave enough to take a peek:

Note that her face is messed up, even in the contacts list

WARNING: shocking images may cause trauma to some viewers!

Do you REALLY trust someone to give you plastic surgery, when they have done this to their own face?

Check out the lovely ears where her face used to be:

And somehow, she has her face on both sides of her head now.
I wonder if she was trying to clone things...

    Oh the horror.... the horror...
  24. Ok now this is getting annoying.

The problem seems to be intermittent.

I just zoned again, and this time all my pets remained under my control and all kept the upgrade buff.

But my team mate lost control of ALL of his pets.

Seems this bug is very random.
