  2. From what I understand it's very nice looking but woefully underpowered in comparassion to say ninjas/demons/thugs.

Nah Tuesday is the new stuff day for Paragon Market.

If they bring it out Wednesday they fail their 'something new each week' rule and have to commit the Korean version of seppuku.

  6. One too many wolves, the tier three should of been a gorilla or bear, otherwise remove the lions and just call it wolf mastery.

  8. If this isn't the release for both Beastmastery and Staff fighting at the same time, I'm going to fly over to America.

Belive me I have a crocodile.

    And paper wings.

    And a stapler.

    You have been warned.
  9. Is it really a suprise that Power pool customisation is still not done?

Paragon Studios are a bunch of magpies, they forget one shiny when they see a new shiny. It will never get finished because once they get a new shiny to play with they'll say abandon the Incarnate ssytem to focus on I dunno the Secret Identy system, which in turn will not be finished because they make a third new thing to play with.

Just look at the bugger tonne of wolves that we've been inundated with because they made a shiny new rig to play with. Does their need to be a Wolf pet, teir one wolves for Beastmastery, tier three wolves for beast mastery. the pet for Darkness Control? Wolf.

Magpies the lot of them. Except maybe Dink.

Every game has had its shortcomings at launch, some games have had worse launch features than this (dare I mention the Distinguished Competition's cross-platform game?) and yet this is somehow overlooked for the entitled need to have it perfect. Arguing that you ask people to pay for limited product would mean this game would never have gotten off the ground....

    S.
I can forigve a new MMO launching and lacking content that other games have.

    Content comes in time.

I can forigve a new MMO launching and having bugs.

    Fixes come in time.

I can't forgive a new MMO launching and not having basic functions and process that have become standard in MMO's.

I'm not waiting for them to re-invent the wheel. (Pro-tip the triangle ones don't work)
  11. I've got to say thanks to Zwill for insight into how Paragon does things, I still think that it is a terrible way to do things, but it is nice to know that its not outright idiocy but a flaw in their methodolgy that causes them to release knowingly broken stuff, and not release the fixes that they already have on beta for several weeks after publishing the broken stuff.

Particularly great for those peeps who bought the set isn't it?

Then your post about having 'absolutely no idea what all is involved in fixing a bug and updating the game' is well rather silly. They fixed the problems already, so why instead of going live with version 22.1 and then making us wait several weeks with bugs and issues already logged and solved on beta, why don't they, just an idea go live with version 22.3b or whatever the current working version on beta is?

But by all means, keep ignorantly complaining about how important your 15 dollars a month is, at least that's free.

Maybe I missed something but wasn't the OP complaining about Issue 22 going live with bugs that were found and even in some cases fixed on Beta?
  14. The one thing that bugs me, is when a fix is on beta for something, and they go live with the broken version, but don't go to the fixed version from beta straight away.
  15. So instead of Staff Melee, they release this piece of rubbish.

    :-/

At the time I was like, "hey that's nice/good feature"

Nah, if there are enough people on a planet it creates new shards/instances to hold them, the general chat is shared between them, and if you are invited to a team in a different shard, you get a pop up to switch shard.

It doesn't TP you to them, but you end up on the same shard.
  17. When you start running it on +8 then you've got seven more peeps worth of debuff heading your way, and since this is incarnate content, sooner or later one of those debuffs will hit you, which means more and more will after that.

But this game's story telling is extremely strong, and it *does* suffer for that. The zone and destination design should have been created to serve the narrative, but it doesn't: it serves the classical MMO model. Of 1999.

I'm sorry I'm going to have to massivly disagree with you on this point, in that game you get a storyline mission for your class, and one for the planet, and as long as you do both at the same time, they will be both in the same area, along with a bunch of side quests. The narrative both of your quest line and the planet storyline drive the destinations, taking you to each questing area.

    ...you get the idea.

Heck, Hitler probably IS running the 5th Column.

That is something I once tossed out as a theory, that when the well wanes and doesn't affect the world as much you get people like Robin Hood, John Henry Irons, the guys from the romance of the three kingdoms era and so on.

When the well is in effect you get super versions of heroes running around, so you get a manticore instead of Robin Hood and so on.

That's a sad world to live in where people whose immense skill with an item (or multiple items) renders them "not natural".

Batman is Natural/science with a tech side salad.

Robin Hood is natural/tech, since quite a few of the versions of his stories put a lot of his victories down to the technologicaly advanced (at the time) longbow.
  22. As long as the gals get that sweet space suit as well as the dress this time, then you are doing super fine.
  23. Gutted about the Dire Wolf.

Wolf, cat, wolf just doesn't feel right to me.

Why bother with the cats at all, just go three wolves then.
  24. Towards the end it becomes clear that the Loyalist stuff was added later, especially if you play Warden.

If you look at it, after the first moral choice, you aren't so much choosing between loyalist and resistance, but Warden and Crusader, with the crusader choice keeping you resistance.

    Spoilers

Especially when it comes to the final choice. Not blowing up the water plant, which will cause at the very least people to get sick, and probably kill weaker members of the population, just because a guy from another planet asks you to. Seems pretty much a clear cut Warden answer, but that makes you loyalist :-/
