  1. I just found something to add. The end drain does not start until he is given the 1st upgrade. I believe it to be Chilling Embrace that is causing it.
  2. Since Demons were released there has been discussions about the Demon Prince being the most end heavy pet of all. I recently went back to my lvl 40 Demons/Dark to run him to 50 and my Demon Prince was running out of end pretty quickly. He was already slotted with an SOs worth of end redux, and I decided to frankenslot him to bump it up as much as I could. Once I hit 42 I slotted him up to 92% end redux and took him for a spin. Much to my dismay he was a little better but still ran dry in longer battles.

I started to run some of his end costs against other pets and didn't see any major differences that would cause this disparity. I then started to monitor his end bar during combat to see if the end redux was really lowering the costs and that's when I noticed something strange in his combat attributes. For some reason his end bar slowly drains when idle, even though he shows 0.00 end consumption. His end gets down to about 98.6 when his recovery tic resolves. I checked the other demons and some other MM pets and none of them showed this issue.

This small unknown end drain may not seem like much, but it looks like it creates some kind of cascading effect with how the pet uses and recovers end, causing him to suddenly become very end heavy.

Is this working as intended or is it a bug?
  3. One note about putting the Achilles Heel Proc into Surveillance: If it procs it will alert the target to your presence. The debuff in the power is flagged so that enemies don't notice it, but the debuff from the proc is not. Not a big deal if you're using it during combat, but it can mess up your big Alpha crit.

I would put the proc into poisonous ray and not bother with it in Surveillance. Only one instance of the debuff can be on a target at a time so they can't be stacked anyway.
  4. I started a thread about the DE increased accuracy in the bugs section a few weeks back. The strange thing is that it doesn't show up on their stats anywhere. They don't show higher than normal acc modifier or higher than average to-hit base it only shows up on the combat log in the rolls.

I don't understand how this can be WAD, since it's only the tip mish DE and not all DE. Also the tip mish DE are bugged in that the bosses won't con down to Lt. if you have it set for no bosses.
  5. There is one other thing that I really think is worth noting. If the devs ban nukes because it gives us the ability to do it to fast, isn't the time we save in the actual trial more than made up for by having to take the time to get the nukes?

If the members of the trial don't go and get nukes, they start and get it done in say 30 minutes. Isn't that the same as the members going to Warburg and spending 20 minutes getting nukes then doing the Trial in 10 minutes??

It's 30 minutes either way (the times are just placeholders but I don't think they are far off)

I believe all mitos should be vulnerable to all types of attacks and Hamidon shouldn't attack. In fact just give me free stuff without having to try and learn. I just want to smash away on my Awesome button. Captain Dynamic ftw.
They use nukes on Justice to make Hami raids only 3 rounds. They aren't needed, but they help speed up the process. I fail to see how this is any different. You can succeed in the CoP without them, but taking the time to get nukes makes the trial go faster.

It would seem to me since Hami is worth 52 merits it would make more sense to not allow them there than in a Trial worth 6-8 merits and a random passive power.

What is the point of taking 30-45 minutes to get a One shot massive buff/debuff if you can't use it in a part of the game where it is most useful?

I agree with that completely, and don't deny that there are other Rikti from alternates to Rikti Earth, but there arent any on Praetoria because the 'event' of them invading didn't happen there (that we know of).

Ever watch the show Sliders? It also dealt with parallel universes and multiple Earths. Some were practically identical to ours while others were radically different. In one the differences were so minor it was difficult for the adventurers to figure out what they were, in another dinosaurs ruled the planet. With infinite universes, anything is possible.
I guess my real problem is that the event of Infernal coming to Praetoria seems to be unquestioned and inevitable, but the Rikti invasion doesn't.

If you're going to say "when Infernal came to Preatorian Earth...." it should also be assumed that "When the Rikti invaded praetorian earth.......".

I just don't like that fact that they assume an interdimensional event that happened on Primal Earth also had to happen on Praetorian Earth.

The canon states that when Infernal came to Praetorian Earth instead of Numina being his guide in this world, Diabolique warped him to bind too many demons to his armor and make him power hungry. If a ceremony gone wrong, sent him to Primal Earth from his own dimension, how did I also send him to Praetorian Earth?

I don't think i'm going to get a "real" answer, because there could be a dimension where Rikti invade Praetoria instead of ours, and I guess that "Infernal" is an alternate of our Infernal where the ceremony sent him to Praetorian instead of Primal earth.

    *Shrugs*

I'm not questioning the possibilities merely the canon they have put out. Rikti are just "Rikti" they aren't native of Primal Earth they came here because Nemesis tricked them into attacking us, so if Rikti were on Praetorian Earth they would be the same Rikti. There aren't Primal Earth Rikti or Praetorian Earth Rikti, just Rikti. If they wanna stick to that canon then there shouldnt be a Primal Infernal and a Praetorian Infernal, since he isn't a native to either dimension.
  11. Infernal's dimension is an alternate world version of our own like Praetorian Earth there isn't a Praetorian Infernal dimension and a Primal Infernal dimension, just Infernal Earth.

I understand how with all the infinite dimensions that "another" Infernal could have gone to Praetorian earth, but that's not how the Canon portrays it.
  12. While playing today one of the game tips on the load screen was talking about Infernal being from an alternate dimension where they bind demons ect ect, and it got me thinking. If Infernal isn't from Primal Earth how can there be a Praetorian version of him?

The canon is that he comes to Primal Earth during a ceremony gone wrong and Numina is helping him look for a being that is a combination of his best friend and a demon lord. While the praetorian version comes to their world and becomes power hungry under the influence of Diabolique.

How can a being from an alternate world end up in both dimensions as 2 individual beings? It wouldn't make any sense for there to be Praetorian Rikti so why is there a Praetorian Infernal?

Um wasn't the release date "Fall 2010"?? How is that NOT in 2010??
  15. Oh look another reason not to do CoP. Castle puts in for a reward buff and they make it harder to complete without any buff to the rewards O.o!!

Still no shields in the MM epics missing them???

    *2 thumbs down!!*

Not all debuff stacks. the Achilles heel -res debuff can't stack from any number of casters. the -res from bruising works the same way.

Most other debuffs don't stack from the same caster unless they are pseudo pets like tar patch or freezing rain.
  17. I've noticed over the last couple of days that the Devoured Earth in the new tips missions have 2 apparent bugs.

    1) They spawn bosses even when set to "no bosses". I noticed it the first time then ran another non-DE mish and it didnt spawn bosses.

    2) They have higher than normal to-hit chances. On my elec/shield (almost exactly at the soft-cap) all the ranks (even con) have between 19-25% chance to hit me. I tested this against a single minion, Lt and boss with no Quartz spawned anywhere in the mission (with a quartz up they have a much higher chance to hit than 20%). Using the power analyzer they don't show any acc bonuses beyond the normal Lt and boss bonus. I check the real numbers on the attacks they used and they don't show any higher than 1.00 acc. I also checked some normal zone DE and they didnt show any higher than normal chance to hit.

Now I know that lvl 50 DE spawns have been bugged for quite some time and they would only spawn the rock type minions/Lts and only at lvl 49. I don't know if the changes to overcome this bug has cause these other ones.

Has anyone else noticed similar issues?

    Dom APPs.

Membranes are also a good idea since they affect rech, def, and +to hit.

    Tomorrow...

    I just......don't know......where to start???

Do I make my new toons and run through preatoria??

Start running my Dom through the 40s with the new Epics??

Start moving various toons to their new alignment??

    SO...... Many...... Choices!!!!

I wonder if this is becuase they gave an actual release date and found they didnt have the time to make the changes.

There are so many issues with them as it stands:

Redudant/clone powers, debuffs being far to strong for APPs, lack of core powers (no shield for MMs), and some powers being far to weak (link minds psi resist).

I'm with Mac and very disappointed with how the APPs/PPPs look to be released.

Some of these choices are just very odd and seem almost OPd in some places and meh in others. I think this may be one of the few instances where PPPs will be more popular than APPs
  24. I was looking over the new APPs for Corruptors and have 2 major probs:

    1) Why in the world would we get Psi Mastery when we don't have any Psi corruptors?? The APPs have up to this point been an extended "Mastery" over powersets we already have access to, while the PPPs are powers used by the patrons and granted to you by them.

    2) Dark Mastery?? Really?? Didn't we already cover that in Soul Mastery? I know the 2 sets have 3 powers that are different, but I still think it's redundant.

Would it really have been that hard to throw together Ice Mastery and Fire Mastery APPs?

    Char
Fiery Embrace (the Dom version of it not the new one)
    Fire Shield
    Consume
    RotP

    Block of Ice
    FlashFreeze
    Frozen Armor
    Hoarfrost
    Hibernate

That took me 2 minutes, and they all have primaries and secondaries that match them. I'm never been one to accuse the Devs of being lazy but cutting and pasting them from the defender APPs didn't involve a whole lot of forward thinking.
