  1. We've talked about this before.

    To repeat here.

    When a huntsman gets offered to become a Crab/Bane they get there basic training and equipment. And then are shoved into there new role to see if they can handle it. They start with a set of robot legs and power armor that's low quality/easy to produce. If they show sufficient skill/ability with the basic equipment they may get better equipment.

    Eventually the legs are implanted probably along with a promotion/squad command and with a MIU [(Mind Inpulse Uint) Alala WH40K] Enables them to convey the precise controls to shoot and mealy with greater effect and accuracy.


    In short they start out Natural but become Tech later on.

    It also deepens on how you build the SOA. Theirs so many combination's that work. Power picks and slots can and often are stretched very thin. If you have the space for them, Patrons are a good choice.
  4. Forge 2-3 pure recharge or gasuans

    Heat Exhaustion 2 Recharge 1 Acc I sugest useing Aim or an insperation befor useing this I never use this solo its good for things like TF's and GM's

    Melt armor 6 slot there's a lot of good sets that can fit in here namely the acc defense debuff sets its AOE and a good debuff or 2 acc 2 debuff 2 recharge
  5. Sadly it is Energy/

    I love my Energy/Thermal Rad and I have never had any real problem with team mates but I often lead teams and I'll just kick whoever is BI***ing about KB but even that happens rarely. ITF/LGTF I run often and never lead even that I have no problem there eather.


    In the end its player skill that matters the most with KB many people don't realise that not attacking is an option as well. OFC that makes the Min/maxers all kinds of upset but who caries about them
  6. Heres an idea how about when you put them into "stay" mode they change into an object that should remove there abilty to move or an even simpler way to implement it would be to make "stay" simply Mez/Hold the pet.

    I think that would make many people happy.

    Yes your right I was that is fixed now WOOT! At last! I no longer have to fear rebooting! I can even use Quit to desktop now!

    On the -renderthread 1 I'm telling you It was NOT enabled or what ever after I put that on it boots the game up faster, zones are loading faster, I'll need to test it more tomaro night, with and with out but I swear its working better now.

    I'm running 64bit Vista until today I thought the same thing. I read the article about Vista on the wiki tried it and found my lode times are now 3-5 seks instead of 15-30ish seks this is what happens when you know nothing about computers and switch from one 7 years old to a custom made gaming rig. My expectations were so low I was simply floored by how much I could do to start but now that its useing my duel core what little graphic lag I had should now be gone. I feel like such a moron for not looking into this sooner.

    In short yes it worked fine with out it, now its working really well.

    Any one know If COH is useing SLI right? I have 2 Nivida GeForce 8800 GTS SLI'ed tougher COH is useing both right?

    Thats not working but I looked it up on the wiki and shure enough Its there but its still not working

    Its still checking for the server however it just got a conection after only reaching 10 that's a improvement over the average of 65/80

  11. I want to be able to launch COH with out having to run the updater.

    I'm sure your wondering why.

    Here we go, "My internet sucks." I'm puting that out there as a given. However in comparison to other MMO's I.E. EVE Online, Age Of Conan, Guild Wars, Star Wars Galaxies EMU. The COH updater SUCKS! In the above games I can start them up and be in game in 10 min at most, COH tho? An HOUR IF I'm lucky and that's useing the only workaround I know of. (That being opening about 30/35 insistence's of the updater I can open about 150 before I run out of memory but that just slows down my internet more.)

    As I understand it and please corect me if I'm wrong, but all its doing when you launch it is checking for an update. First for the updater itself, then the game. It will also verify the integrity of all the files in case of a crash. (A utility that could be locally done with out an active connection). We know when a patch will hit its posted on the forums and on the server down time page for those like me who are living in the dark ages in the middle of nowhere being able to skip the updater would be a tremendous help.

    Missalnous info I don't know where else to put.

    Why can't I get a good conection? It's called "Ping" or "Latency" I have Satellite Internet when my computer asks the update server "Hea anything new man?" That mesage makes a 10,000 mile long round trip from my house in VA to the Satellite siting in orbit and then to Kentucky and then on there fiber-optic/T3/whatever line back to the east cost prolby NYC to the Freedom server the server says "na man go on throu" Or if I had crashed it says "How long have you had these droids?" No wate that's not what it ... any way it checks you papers and then sends the message back... to Kentucky back up to space and then back down to my house in VA. It takes to long, literally the speed of light is to slow. For what ever reason this action is timed and if your computer takes to long it doesn't connect.


    Well I don't have this problem I don't think the dev's should wast there time on this. Yea your right I just thought I'd put it out here and try to drawl some attention to the fact that the COH updater is showing its age.

    I don't expect this to ever happen. I can dream tho. As I sit here watching the connecting #'s go up, I dream of a better future.

    Well this build is for a themed toon and it HAS to have Targeting Drone (/em pets Targeting Drone) The only reason I 6 slotted it was for the defense from Gaussians. Also why would I slot the Build up prock in a click power and not a toggle? I read some where that Caltrops was good to put down after Shield Charge, and I only 6 slotted it for that last 1.88 ranged def. I was thinking about dropping Air Superiority/Fly and taking Combat Jumping/Superjump which would free up some slots. However it's the same problem as Weapon Mastery. I'm just going to have to decide weather I want performance or theme.

  18. For some reason I can't open your build in Mids says it can't read it. Also do you know how the procks work in Explosive blast and Melt armor I thought they only had one chance to go off when you activated the power. Because there AOE's do they have a chance for everything they hit?

    I wonder if it stacks tho for example if I use EB on a span and say it Procks twice and then I use ET and it procks once. do I now have +300 recharge or +200?

    Don't worry about Explosive Blast I know how and when to use it and if my KB is an issue for the team I'll leave and make my own dam team.

    This is my current build it what I have slotted on live it has many of the things your saying my new build needs but it has its problems as well.

  20. I never even thought about that but your right. The resemblance is uncanny. If I rember right it even says in Mongoose's bio that he is a freelancer.

    Its sad how many of our forumites are blueside and how out of touch they are with the real game that is City of Villains.

  21. You could do it a few things tho.

    Heat Exustion I haven't used it on a MM but On my cor its got a long rechage.

    Melt Armor is good but agin long rechage

    Soldiers are the only one I slot the -res prock in because ALL there attacks have a chance to trigger it.

    Spec-Ops: have 2 attacks that can trigger it. (I don't think the snipe has -def) Not worth it IMO I slot them with the unique +resist and +defense IO's then Acc and damage and call it good.

    Commando: Agin same thing with spec-ops he only has 1 or 2 attacks that can trigger it sloting him for knockback you could I gess. I stuck the entire Soul Bound set in him.

    Personal attacks: I have M30 slotted for KB on mine and it dose a fine job of keeping things off me and my pets. I slotted slug and burst for damage my self.

    P.S. DO NOT TAKE SERUM! It's just not worth it. Take it if you want but you'll be respeking out of it later that I can guarantee.

    Nice looking set I must say but did you see the Hair that MM had I don't think thats in game.

    As for Hell On Earth well.... Thats just going to be FUN! But if that is the case I think Merc's should get a "Conscripts" power to replace Serum damit!
  23. My L50 IO'd out Merc/Traps would love to do this but on what server? I also have Leadership but no Veng.

    I don't know what your peoples problem with Mercs is I think there fine. Spek Ops need some help as dose Medic other than that they are more or less balenced.

    I can't speak for thugs/dark but Bots/Traps has -regen that you need to solo AV's and GM's the Assault bot has it and Poison Trap has it.
  25. I would say eather an MM, Scraper, or Brute. MM's can farm with almost no effort a Robots/Traps will make getting the millions of Inf for good IO's easier.
