Quote:Yes it was 222 days after CoV but GR was announced 15 Months ago, That is 450 days! If GR was announced 6 months ago I would be fine but 15 Months for so little just doesn't sit right with me.1) The 10 levels AFTER the last expansion (CoV) was in the issue immediately after it- Issue 7. Tuesday June 6th... 222 days AFTER CoV. This is also the longest delay between issues until I17, which was 225. Calling it "around that release" is a bit off.
Quote:2) Of the new archetypes that they had, count how many were near-direct-ports of the powerset equivalent heroside and the magnitude of the difference is much less... particularly when you look at the ones that needed wholly new animations.
Quote:3) The Praetorian content easily gives you multiple alternative paths of advancement, allowing for additional replayability. The CoV low-level-content began with just 1 path through Mercy with barely enough content in Port Oakes & Cap Au Diable to support two alternate paths as you proceed... if that. The rest fleshed out in future issues.
Quote:4) Along with the Praetoria content, there are over 200+ tips/morality missions added to the game, last I checked. Many of these have levels of complexity and depth that makes them far from being the equivalent of newspaper/police scanner material.
I wanted to like GR I was looking forward for GR. When they announced it 15 months back I was looking forward to it a lot. The longer it took to come out the bigger I was thinking it was going to be. When I got into Beta and saw how little it was, I was sad.
I know some people love it but it's not for me. I have 47 toons and 23 of them are 50s. I love to play them that is why I haven't played delete them yet. I just wanted to play the toons that I love to played with new content the tips mission where now enough. I would have loved to play a new AT, to do something new but yet there are none. I love this game and have played it way too at times. I hoping that I19 will give me something that I can look forward to. I'm just not liking GR. -
Quote:Well I knew I still needed Anti-Matter. I forgot Siege wasn't even in the new Arc but the Nightstar not counting I didn't know. Thanks That would make all 14.I already petitioned AND posted about this in the previous thread.
Not only is SIEGE not in new maria, but the new version of Nightstar doesn't count, but the old one does.
The first time I played through, I did New Tina and new Maria and wound up with 12 of 14. When I got to Siege's mission, Nightstar counted, and Siege granted it.
In your case, you are missing probably Anti Matter at the end of new Tina (the one that doesn't teleport.) -
Quote:Black Scorpion and I are looking into the badge and checking if it requires OLD versions of the entities as opposed to the new ones.
I ran this yesterday with my Widow, so first time. I only have 11 of 14. I didn't fight Anti-Matter so that means two didn't count, sadly I don't know which two -
Well you need to make sure you put your slot where you need them. I'm just saying like when I post a build, it my not be a good level up but because of the slots. Like my Dm/SD build below. The slots in my first attack are 1,3,3,5,5,7, I didn't do that when leveling I mix the slots up to the other powers. I just did it when making the build because I knew that power at the end would have 6 slots.

Yes, but people don't always but the slots in for leveling up, just for the final build
-
If you fly to the back of the map you will see a big round building call Chantry Sphere, she is in there.

I'd recommend using Katana/ or Broadsword/ and exploit divine avanlance or parry as much as possible to give you the survivability you're looking for. Those will also do well for damage throughout your career. I can speak from expierience that katana/___ can run non-stop missions at +1x3 starting at level 12 with common IOs and ramps up from there. You'll need to stop to rest and regain endurance, but all toons do that early on.
Any secondary can make the case that it'll do what you're wanting with enough investment. I think the front runner at lower levels is Katana/Willpower.
I don't have a Katana/Willpower but I have a Broadsword/Willpower and I was doing thing I never done on any other Scrapper at lower levels. I would say Katana would be better because it as better AoE. -
Some good sets are
Melee
Touch of Death
Obliteration
Range
Mako's Bite
Numina' Convalescence
Thunderstike
AoE
Scirocco's Dervish
Performance Shifler
Eradication
Aegis
And Gaussian't Synchronized is nice for all three. -
-
Here is the Wiki of Exemplar Effects on Enhancements. It tells it all better then I could.
In short your lvl 50 IO as a scaling system it follows. It doesn't matter what level you put the slot in it will exemplar down too. IO set bouns only go 3 level lower. So if it is a lvl 50 IO the set bonus will be good too level 47. -
Well building up Defense is always good. If you can't get good numbers for Range, Melee, AoE and you can soft cap S/L I would go with the S/L. The bad thing about S/L is Kinetic Combat are not cheap
It is always good to go far Recharge but the +Defense will give you more survivability so if that is your goal then go for the +Defense first then the recharge. -
What do you mean by power friendly? WP is good for Scrapper not as good as it is for Brute because of the Brutes hit points but still good.
Now what type of Powers issues are you having with your KM/SD? Honestly at level six most scrapper will have issues, you can't really tell how good a Scrapper will be till SO, when you can start to build up defense. -
I will say I'm not that impressed with GR, I don't think it was enough. I'm just hoping I19 is more of what I was looking for.
-
The Brutes is going to do more damage, and at that level can do a lot more because of Fury. Once you get your attacks slotted with Damage SO you will be doing more Damage. Also Radiation is a good AoE set so don't look at how much damage your doing to one guy look at how much your doing to the group, you might be doing a lot more damage then you think. At level 18 you get Cosmic Burst which is rads big hitter.
One more thing a corrupter inherent power is scourge. Which mean when a baddy is below half life you will have a chance to do double the damage. -
It's going to take a lot of moves to get it to softcapped with shadow meld. Here is a build that I have been playing around with that does it. Shadow meld is down for 12ish sec with Hasten up. It doesn't have a travel power. Hope this gives you some idears one what you could do.

You can't Perma Shadow Meld.
90/15-1=5 So you would need to have 500% recharge. Having it down for only 10 sec is good. -
An enhancements set bouns will only go down 3 levels. So if you have only lvl 50 then they will not add the set bonus at level 45, the power will still be good but the set bouns will be gone. Only Purple IO level will not matter.
-
Mu Mastery has Ball Lightning and you can get it with only taking one power before
So you might be able to hit it in now.
As for Spines it can kill fast and just eat minions up. Throw spines is a great power and Quills can add a lot of damage. I'm not a big fan of Spines but I have seen some and they can kill fast. -
It really depends on what your wanting to farm. I would say Spines/WP would be the better one because of Quick Recovery. With Quick Recovery it should be easy to just keep killing and don't have to worry about end.
Now Spines/Inv is still good and with what farm you do might be better because it can have better survivability against S/L baddys.
But I would say Spines/Wp would make the better farmer. -
Don't know why your dropping so fast on an ITF, it might be the AoE are hiiting you and they do hit hard. Your DDR is at 95% so you shouldn't lose that much defense when On an ITF. Now looking at your build some thing
Cobra Strike is now a good attack so slot it like an attack now.
In your build your not that close to the soft cap for AoE so I would work around to see if I can get that at 45%. If you get all three to 45% you don't need Elude at all it will hurt you more then it can help you if you have Soft Cap defense to all 3.
Your Melee and Range are a little high you really only need to have 47% to be safe with SR because it as 95% DDR.
Now with the Changes I said it would like something like this. It is not the best build and with more time I might be able to make it better. I just didn't want to change to much from what you have.

Well both are great toons. It's hard to say which one is better but /SR will make it easier to solo AVs and as Great DDR. WP will be an easier to level and still can do some great things at level 50 depending on the build.
With WP you will want to get as much S/L defends and then E/N. You don't need to soft cap them to make it great but the more the better. With the new PPP for Scrappers I could see a WP loving Shadow Meld. I also still think with the new PPP that SR will still get the most out of body Mastery, Conserve Power and Physical Perfection makes it easy to just keep killing!
Depending on how you play and what you want to do is how the build will look, some people like Aid Self with SR and some people don't and other stuff too. -
Some do more damage but it's not a lot more. Fire Blast does the most because it secondary effect is more damage
If you want damage then fire blast is the way to go.
