  3. Hi I am doing this at the moment, Lvl 47 and flying wasting EB's solo and AVs when I have a Brute to stop them wasting the Bots. Not on the build is that Battle and Protector Bots have Fulls sets of Blood Mandate and I have Edict of the Master in Assault Bot (The pet Defnce Unique IO at the moment only).

  4. Hi this is what I'm doing at the moment, can't remember exact slotting order, and have some sets in place now, but this is just the basic without any special IO slotting. And Group fly at the end is just for fun

  6. Gratz matie, so is it a dom next or u gettin that stalker out of retirement
  7. [ QUOTE ]
Aid self is not a requirement for an energy/electric brute, I take green ispirations with me, they are the only thing I need 90% of the time, a few purples when up against an Elite Boss maybe, and always one blue for PS crash.

No need to waste powers and slots on aid self when you have a tray for inspirations that you rarely use in the first place and aid self is situational/interuptable.

    [/ QUOTE ]

He's learnin, at last he has posted on the Brute section hehe.

    Mwhahahaha
  8. This is due to the fact he can't solo very well you know

Yeah, and while you're at it, get a pocket thermal for shields too. Otherwise soloing all you need to do is carry some oranges/purples and break frees really.

    Just making a point.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Which is?

Don't see one here really, greens make up for the lack of healing, oranges add a little res and purps add a bit of def, bf's for fear etc, so your point is.

Sorry m8, but I see none here, just said greens would probably be good to take with him, the thermal was if teaming, your gettin this all out of context here.

BTW, the thermals shields are nice to, shame not many seem to take them both, as it would reduce the healing require by quite a bit

No point made here, move along, nothing to see
  11. Except you wont be able to look at the powers if your a hero, still shout and i'll talk you through it real time.
  12. Which server are you on PD, as if your on Defiant best thing to do is actually show you a stone/stone brute so you can see what powers they pick and why, might be better to answer your questions in real time then.

Find me @Battler, usually on most evenings after 9pm.
  13. British Battler

    SS/Elec

I like the fly set myself, I know it's the slowest for getting you to missions, but that boss beating up on you isn't really going to give you many problems when your doing the Air Superiority, Haymaker, Knockout Blow Juggle

So all you need is the extra res to help you against those pesky minions, as Res based sets have an pain of a time firing off aid self in battle, you get hit a lot more than an EA Brute you see, on account of them having good defences and not getting hit much, so the res would be of more use to you then.

And get a pocket thermal if you want healing, otherwise soloin all you need to do is carry some greens really.
  14. *cough* EA's Defence is quite good actually, thats the first point and a stalkers is even better than a brutes. Have both Stalker and Brute /EA so have experiance of both, the planner must be goosed mate.

But, I would not think of taking SS with EA myself, as the lovely power Rage has one real negative side effect for a time when it wears off, namely -20% Def, so you go from nearly 30% (With CJ, EC and KS on a brute) to nearly 10% Def in one swoop, and if your fighting, and have no def insp you're going to get hit an aweful lot more.

Between the two, i'd go /Elec for SS myself.
  15. YE GADS, does this mean he's finally going to stop leeching off everyone on the LRSF now and pull his weight

Seriously Gratz mate, been a long time coming
  16. So put 3 recharges in it as well and get hasten, ps don't forget the accuracy to

    [ QUOTE ]
The resistance gave by sonic corruptors is 26% IF team stay in sonic dispersion.
15% if they only get buffs

    [/ QUOTE ]

15% is the base figures for the bubbles so with 3 even So's in you get 23.4% res, and Sonic Barrier does give res against toxic now, it was fixed in a patch a while back. And Sonic Dispersion gives a base of 11.25% to all attacks except psi, so thats 17.55% with 3 even SO's, so you can give your team 40.95% Res vrs all except Psi, some Hold, Disorient and Immob protection and When you get Clarity you can add Sleep, Fear, Confuse and perception increase to this.

And you can pick a Brute and all Enemies within 15' of him have a 30% reduction on their Damage res to with Disruption Field.
  18. Hello and welcome,

First off, after trying out all the Arctypes myself I have found that Corruptors really do do better in teams than all of the rest, yes some Solo slower than others but for gameplay the Corruptor AT excells at team play. But they can solo ok to, you just have to look at the secondaries that will help you the most. From that the Radiant Infection, Dark Miasma and Kinetics sets offer probably the best ways to do this. From the primaries Energy Attacks will give you the best initial Single target attacks, being able to take the core 3 by lvl 6, but these annoy teams sometimes because of their additional knockback attacks. Ice comes with a nice hold in it by lvl 8 and 2 early decnt attacks and a nice location based AoE which when used with other powers that slow opponents can help you a lot.
Dark hyas an early sniper attack, which can help with soloing by pulling enemies, and fire has an early AoE in the form of Fireball. Assault rifle is nice if you like guns, and has some nice AoE's, but these can cause knockback to, and Lethal damage it does is one of the most commonly resisted damage types in tha game. Sonic attacks debuff the enemy by reducing their damage resistance for a short period of time.

Thats just a brief overview, when I started out I found that I tried out many differant types of character for a while up to lvl 10 to get a feel for them, many I didn't like, and these can be deleted and replaced before you have spent to much time on them.

When you team you can generally always find one as a Radiantion Infection or Kinetics to, these are always in demand, and their powersets can help you solo ok to.

So get out their, experiment and above all have fun.

    Good Luck
