CoX officially supports SLI, but last I knew, you don't see any actual benefit from it. IME, generally better to go one good card than two weaker ones.
-
I've heard about this elsewhere... IIRC, only Customer Service can resolve it. Similar to the random bug where trial restrictions are placed on full accounts.

Hey_Tiny: I like the idea of Chance for Psi Damage in Invince ... I might have to try and squeeze that in thanks!
[/ QUOTE ]
Keep in mind - It might not be slottable in it anymore. They did remove Taunt sets from Invinc ... But I was still able to slot it in a few months ago, and have not tried to slot it since ... so I'm not sure if they have ever fixed it.
[/ QUOTE ]
So I understand most of the taunt sets were removed from taunt auras because their procs would cause damage to the tanker, rather than the foes. Does this happen with Invinc, or is it not affected by that bug? -

i don't see how that clue contradicted itself in its own text
it seems like factors outside the clue were in contradiction to it but that's not the same as being self-contradictory

That said, I could see it possibly being useful for AVs (depends on how badly they resist -DMG).
[/ QUOTE ]
To my knowledge, they don't.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yar, that's why I keep Siphon Power around. AV's only resist -damage to the degree that they resist incoming damage, which for most is very low.
That, and so those in the back line get an extra damage buff. -

I miss the days when it was not safe to even stand for a few seconds to type in Siren's.
How do you rate threads anyway? I don't see an option. Is one star worse than no stars?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's way down near the bottom of the page. And 1-star is generally worse, because no stars means it hasn't been rated at all, and one-star means it's been rated negatively. If anyone actually cares about star ratings. -

Sound decent? How would you change that?

Actually my Defense is capped with 4 foes in range. My build also has Tough and Weave, which pretty much means I can slot Invince with pretty little daisies and not make a realistic difference in my survivability by and large. Numbers can be misleading
[/ QUOTE ]
That explains it then. Sorry if I came off poorly in my post, was genuinely curious why you slotted it that way. -

Let's back up for a sec and review. I found a map of Eden which shows a location in Brickstown which is in Talos Island. Maybe when I enter the instance, I will end up in Steel Canyon which is in Atlas Park!

The more common term hereabouts is kill-stealing. It is considered impolite, though there is no formal rule against it. If another player follows you around doing it constantly, there may be grounds for a petition claiming harassment.
[/ QUOTE ]
From experience, probably not much will be done. Thankfully it doesn't often happen.
[/ QUOTE ]
Kill stealing, in and of itself, is not actionable in game.
However, if someone is following you around, refusing to team with you, and continually kill stealing then it's harassment/cyberstalking - which WILL be acted on.
[/ QUOTE ]
And, if nothing else, it establishes a history for someone that may enjoy griefing others often. -

On my Inv/SS Tanker, for Invincibility I 4 slot Gaussian's (including Chance for Build Up) and 2 slot Gift of the Ancients (defense, def/end) for recovery.
This seems to be the best of both worlds to me. Before IOs I would suggest 1 endRedux, 3 defense and 2 toHit.
Hope that helped.
[/ QUOTE ]
Aren't you really shorting your defense with that slotting? With just those 2 GotA at max level, you're only getting 37.7% defense enhancement. Granted, the Gaussians give you +1.88% HP, but you're missing out on roughly 3% defense by underslotting for it.
I'm theorycrafting here, since I don't have a high-level Invuln, but I'd go 4 GotA and 2 Gaussians. That +1.8 max endurance for the 4 GotA is usually more valuable than the +2.5% recovery you'd get from the Gaussians. But I personally would probably not focus on the +tohit, since I prefer to have my attacks a little overslotted for accuracy. YMMV. -

I wish the one about Karma: Knockback Protection in Dispersion Bubble were true. I would never have remade my Bots/Bubbles Mastermind as Bots/Traps.Do putting any of those global effects into PBAoE buffs make them affect everyone in the buff area?
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't think so. Global IO's, buff procs, and heal procs affect the caster (there might be some bugged exceptions here); damage procs and debuff procs affect foes.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, Performance Shifter Chance for Endurance in Speed Boost will give the target of the power the benefits of the proc should it fire rather than the user. So you could slot it in Recovery Aura to give everyone a minor chance for a minor endurance refill each time you used it. I can't think of any others that might work that way, but they would all be proc effects rather than the constant bonuses. So, close, but not quite.

The defense buff given to team mates is like having a built in Maneuvers. It's a perk but definitely skippable (it's not like you're giving your team a *substantial* defense bonus).
[/ QUOTE ]
If you're talking about Grant Cover, this isn't quite right. Grant Cover gives a very substantial +11.25% def(melee, ranged, aoe) to everyone but the tanker in a 15-ft. radius. Compare that to Force Field Defenders, whose Dispersion Bubble gives +10% def(all) to everyone within 25ft.
Grant Cover also provides 17.3% defense debuff resistance.
EDIT to add that Maneuvers for a tank grants +2.275% def(all) in a massive 60ft. radius.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think you're forgetting that Dispersion Bubble also gives protection to holds, stuns, and immobilization. Along with defense to everything.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not forgetting, just showing that Grant Cover's defense bonus is much higher than Maneuvers, albeit in a much smaller radius. And my post was incorrect, Grant Cover does provide defense to everything but psionic. Between Grant Cover and Dispersion Bubble, I'd take the Bubble any day of the week. -

It doesn't grant typed defense? Ick, that means it doesn't stack with sets that utilize typed defense (like Invuln, WP, Ice, etc).
[/ QUOTE ]
It does. It's 11.25% to all positions and all types except psi.

I thought there was something wonky with City of Data... it lists it as "DEF(Melee, Melee, Ranged, AOE)."
RE: Kruunch:
I plan on picking it up more for the defense debuff resistance than the team defense. -
[ QUOTE ]
Controlling lets you set the tempo, so you might try that. A shield-type buff secondary (force fields, sonic, or thermal) will allow lots of buffing downtime on a team. You'll be able to solo slowly but comfortably while still making contributions to any team you find yourself on.
[/ QUOTE ]
I pretty much agree with this, with the caveat that there are certain controller combos that are very intense. I love my Mind/Kin to death, but I'm exhausted as hell after running a task force with her. FF and Sonic are great because they're proactive, so you don't need to worry about reaction times. Defenders will get the better defense values, but if you wanna spice it up a bit, try a combo like Ill/FF. -

I dedicate this post to anyone that has tried repeatedly to accomplish the MoSTF with less than favorable results and to anyone that has actually lived through a succesful one and still has their sanity.
[/ QUOTE ]
How tempted will you be to find me and murder me in my sleep if I tell you Have never /failed/ an attempt at the MoSTF? *le grin* To be fair, Ive only actaully gone for it twice (though I really have to get to it on my new main sometime just as soon as i put a decent team together).
[/ QUOTE ]
Heh, we were doing a quick run once. Ended up finishing in about 47 minutes, no deaths, and nobody used a temp power. We didn't have the conditions set, but everybody had MoSTF on their characters already, so we weren't too bummed. That said, I have failed several attempts, but I've been on probably 15 or more, so that's to be expected. My only lvl50 toon that doesn't have it is, sadly, my namesake.
To the OP and Steelclaw: you are both sadistic. And I kinda like it. xD -

considering i been on this TF before as the only rad and he went down fast, its just the % thats bugged not his debuff res
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, that's exactly the point -- if he is bugged so that he is at 100% resistance (technically always possible for AVs, of course), then -resistance debuffs won't do a thing, unless they are unresistable (which Enervating Field isn't).
[/ QUOTE ]
Yar, that's correct. AV's have no special resistance to resistance debuffs, but they do resist it by the amount they resist that particular damage type. So if an AV has 95% resistance to S/L and 50% resistance to N/E, and you plop a -20% res(all) power on him, you're actually dropping his resistance to S/L by one point, to 94%, and his N/E by 10 points, to 40%. Looks like crap, but you are technically doing 20% more S/L/N/E damage than before. So if he has 100% resistance (and it doesn't cap for him at some lower number), resistance debuffs do nothing. At least I think that's how it works.
As for the topic at hand, I've never seen the bug mentioned. We rarely have any trouble taking him down in less than a minute. I do notice when he pops Unstoppable because his health bar moves much more slowly, but I've never seen anything as severe as the OP. -
