  3. well looking at the base numbers (comparing it to my fire/kin troller) Total Domination pretty much identical to Cinders, only differense is that the base duration on Cinders (for trollers) is 10 and TD for the domi is 8, other than that they're the same and Cinders was mighty useful. but i'll be trying both Telekinesis and TD to see wich suits me the best, if not both.
  4. okay, thnx for all the nice info peeps, terrify is back on the list then, about taking Telekinesis first and push Total Domination i'll just have to see how i do, will go for the build i have for now taking total domination when i get that far and try it out, then hit the test server and respec it for telekinesis and see what works best for me
  5. Heya all, i've gone and made a mind/energy dom, really liking it so far (lvl 8).

    had a little question though, how useful is Terrify? according to my planner the base acc is very low and the recharge is quite long in comparison to the duration of the fear. so, worth taking? when i get there that is

  7. Pointers: you forgot acro in that last one, i wouldnt take Burn since it has a repel factor wich totally negates holding aggro. (Change Burn for Acro)
    and try to get Blazing Aura in there to keep aggro when teaming (its good to have for soloing since you'l want them stacked around you to use the AoE's) you could take it at 24 instead of BU and take BU some other time.

    you could do with only 1acc in each attack, when soloing an AoE toon you'll want to take lower lvl enemies in big groups so 1acc will do just fine, wich will also ease up some slots for ya.

    well i just have to say something here being a katana scrapper myself (from time to time at least )


    only having Sting of the wasp and Divine Avalanche untill lvl 18 could work allthough very slowly, but not slotting damage in Sting untill lvl 30+ and not even an Acc untill 29?!!?! seriously?

    i mean, okay, each to their own, but i really would recommend looking over the slotting...(unless you never ever exemp)

    i've thought about making a katana/invu as well a while back and i planned to make him something like this:

    you can get into meele on a player with Force Bubble with only Sprint, it repels in ticks (just like everything happens in ticks) and between those ticks you can run in and slap him.

    if the force bubble was just a steady wall that couldnt be penetrated it would be way to OP to exist. so its all WAI

    i was with you guys in CoV for a while, allthough that ended when my toon "mysteriously" dissapeared after my sister played on my account.

    i'll have me a look on my characters, if i find one that can change sg (or that doesnt have one at all) i'll give you a shout and join in (perhaps i'll even use this as a reason to make yet ANOTHER alt )

  13. first of all, YAY ARA'S COMING BACK HOME!!! WOOHOOO!!!

    and i'd say go for the stormie storm/elec is nice but elec is a bit naff on damage if you ask me, storm/energy for super kb nastyness storm/psi sounds like alot of fun i must say. but hey, you cant go wrong with /dark for a defender storm/dark would make you sort of a blaster/troller/defender, you got the blasts ofc, some soft controll in both storm and dark, "pet" from storm.. yummy all over (i've thought about these sets myself but i wanna get my troller and brute done first since my ALTolism is worse than ever!)

    same here, not often i PL at all but if i do its (almost) never in a team where its just to stand around and leech, sure it has happend but 95% of the few occasions i PL at all its more Power Gaming than Power Leveling.


    It can also be discussed what PLing really is (in comparison to Power Gaming)

    as i see it true PLing is when you have a certain amount of "top" lvls, a couple of lowbies and then some to "bridge" so the lowbies gain maximum amount of XP for the minimum amout of work.

    Power Gaming on the other hand i see as playing with a group of ppl on a high rep, everyone pulling their weight and thus getting a good amount of xp per mish. (wether you are SK'd or not doesnt really make much difference)

    the varieties are many and even more opinions exist.

    but what it comes down to is simply how each person wants to play the game. there are always gonna be some who like Power Leveling, Power Gaming, Soloing, Duoing etc. etc. and some that doesnt like one or more of the playstyles. but that is the very beauty of the game, you can play how you want, when you want, with wich toon you want, and nobody can tell you otherwise (unless you're breaking the rules )



    and just to add, if you ever need a hand with one of these "events" of yours gimme a call in-game (@Brimmy) i'm online most of the time, and very bored almost most of that time and i'll help just to have summat to do Tanking with Brim (sure thing) Scrapping with Zed (i'd love to) throw SB around with Brimymkins or Diago (anytime) i'm all for the fun
  16. ppl reacting like that to being defeated in PvP are just soar loosers imo. if they cant handle being defeated they shouldnt enter a PvP zone at all.

    i PvP on occasion with my 50 scrapper (mainly in RV) and several times i've been called a noob for using my hit 'n' run technique (ss on, bu, que Golden Dragonfly and run like a mad man right next to my target) and i mean, so what? if they dont like it they can move along. They are in a PvP zone and so am i, thus i can use what ever means necessary (as long as it doesnt break the EULA ofc!) to get my kill. its as simple as that.



    and when ppl use the word n00b, they dont mean it as "newb" (wich it is listed as its official meaning). it is a feeble attempt to make other players feel bad and imply that they *censor* at playing the game.. so, what should you do when someone calls you a n00b like this? first of all, dont bother saying something back or even caring about it, if they keep it up send a petition for harassment and put them on ignore then go on with your day
  17. imo, PLing to skip the lowbie-lvl grinding is fair play if you've allready done it the hard way just SOOO many times...

    thing that REALLY bothers me though, is when ppl who PL both others and their own toons start complaining about others doing it... thats just wierd...(would like to scream some names out loud just for the sake of it but it'll just get censored by bridger anyway...)
    if some people want to PL, let them, if it keeps them interested in playing the game thats just good.

    no secondary effect fom Death Shroud though (afaik) wich does give quills the upper hand in that sence, both damage and slow

    it is as everything else a matter of taste, i love quills, absolutely adore quills. But it can get you in some real trouble since you aggro alot (wich is why i love it!)
  20. well as a "former" stone tanker i can put my opinions on that side firstly:

    Rockarmor: Slot it more, 3 Def Buff, an end or 2 if you can spare later on

    Stone Skin, not needed if you dont want to, gives a rather "meh" res imo but it does stack with granite so thats a plus.

    Earth's Embrace: nothing to add on that one.

    Mud Pots: wait until after stamina for this one, uses alot of end, i recomend slotting it for 3end 1acc (not autohit afaik)

    Rooted: 3heals or only 1heal in the base-slot

    Granite: now this can be widely discussed since it can be slotted so differently, MY opinion is first of all that you need End Reduce in it, it costs quite a bit to have running. on my tank i have Granite slotted 2end 2def 2res atm and that is great (i also have stoneskin with 3res stacking)



    i've also tried Elec Meele a couple of times so here's what i think of the powers i've seen:

    Charged Brawl, fast attack, low damage, good for building fury but not much more.

    Havoc Punch, nice attack, you should put some more slots into it

    Jacobs Ladder, good cone attack. slotting looks decent (i would probably take an end reduce instead of recharge)

    Thunder Strike, very nice attack, PBAoE, again change recharge for end reduce.


    as for the pool powers:

    Swift, 3slot it, defo, i tried with only the one slot and it drove me crazy.

    Teleport, if you're using this as your main travel power you'll wanna slot it some more



    the good thing about Brutes is that Fury lets you slot in a whole new way really, you dont have to focus on slotting damage first thing you do since you do more and more damage the longer you go at it.


    Hope this has helped at least in some way

    threw together a quick one, think this is how i'd try to have it but ofc its based abit around how i play brutes so it might not make sence to you or others

    being a tank-lover myself i've found myself in the "line of fire" when it comes to other peoples opinions on how i should play them, but who are they to judge?

    the only thing that we all have to think about is that the game needs to be FUN and as long as the player who 'owns' the character in question think its fun to play then thats that.

    You're the one paying, not everyone else, so dont care about what they say about your toon in whatever way unles you've asked for some advice.

    i also have to say that ppl telling others things about their AT or current build isnt always wrong. but most of the time the intention is sadly enough a bad one.

    so to sum up, you pay, you play, have fun and dont give a rats*** what other ppl think

    gonna change the planner for both the troller and my kin/dark defender to fit in some End Mod in it

    does it really?? bc accoarding to my planner and those i've asked in-game it only increases the drain, but if it does indeed increase the gain as well thats just bloody marvelous

    uhm, why 6slot transference?
    with 2acc 2recharge it gets 81% acc (15% base acc + 66% enhanced) and its up every 18 second.

    slotting it for End Mod only affects the drain and draining them completely seems kinda unnecessary(spelling?) since i dont have any other -End or -Recovery ,other than Transfusion wich is minimal, so the End they'd recover that instant second after being drained is enough to keep them fighting anyway.
