In a perfect world, id agree that yes I can help people with new cool powers.

Except most noobs are over-confident and think they know better.

Example: WLed N0ob runs into a mob and tps us all in- after aggroing 10 groups along the way. We tell him not to do that. this is followed by lots of cursing and a quit.

If youd know what the mid-lev characters are dealing with when they invite tanks who think that the controller should take the aggro, youd understand too.

infact i do know what it feels like, as i've taken 2 controllers from level 1-39. you know what i do? i impart my knowledge of game mechanics on the unknowing tanker: "tanker go aggro"

if you dont want to help people learn, then solo.

now according to this some one running fire shield and that is being hit by a fire melee attack that does smashing and fire damage will be able to resist the smashing damage but the fire damage will not be resisted? im confused as to how this works and also confused about the usefulness of these kinds of defense powers now.

My level 48 blaster with fire master taken for fire shield's defense against fire damage seems useless now because of this i now have wasted 2 powers?

Actually, they are the relative level... as applied to minions.

Since Lieutenants are effectively +1 (in terms of colour con, anyway) and Bosses are +2, this is also reflected in the arrows.

if you are a 14 and you see a level 12 minion and a level 12 LT the arrows will show like so

Regarding the anime costumes debate that is.

You take a fairly divisive issue like adding anime costume options.

You get people that are not very pleased with the idea and say so.

And almost everyone that responds in support of the idea has an avatar from an anime series.

nu uh. even in very early beta SJ was very controllable. SJs downside used to be that it was split into 2 travel powers, 1 was long jump (normal jump height, but you could jump 100 yards at a time base), and the other was high jump (normal jump distance but you could jump something like 100 feet straight up.

that wasnt a power pool, that was the old assualt errr... rifle powerset, they changed it to the current "all in one swiss army gun" model we have now because of the amount of time it took to animate switching weapons constantly to attack, this was esspecially bad when doing the flame thrower attack.

im pretty sure is disappointment was when he first did the mission. since the first time he did the mission it was an office building, which ruins the immersion. not everyone is trying to tear the game down.

why are you flinging around the name carebear like an insult? no one here is complaining about PVP but you, no one even expressed any oppisition to PVP here. the problem is not the lack of PVP but your lack of patience for it to be implemented when it is planned for implimentation. if you lack the attention span or interest to play COH for anything but PVP, LEAVE! go experience the great fun of PVP in such games as DAoC, lineage 2, eve-online, and EQ. but for all that is good and holy stop harping on and complaining about how much you want your umpa lumpa now!

the issue isnt due out for at least another month, realistically probably 2 months and not far off 3 months. so take your time and enjoy the game.

Another stealth nerf: you can no longer use Combat Jumping and Super Jump together. I fell 600 yards down in Faultline figuring that one out.

CJ and SJ were changed in mid-beta. you havent been able to do it ever in retail.

in beta CJ and Sj basically gave you a little extra travel distance (about 10 yards) with the combat bonus of CJ.

NYC is perfect for CoH, we got spider-man, batman, x-man come through every so often, Teen aged mutant ninja turtles, Godzilla, king-Kong, etc etc. we even have alligators in our sewer systems. not to mention you have nothing to fear from paranormal phenomenon, or giant stay-puff marshmallow men.
