I think the problem people have with Dual Pistols, is that it's an average set, and not top tier, and that it's a new set.

...use my tags all the time, though really, that USUALLY means it's set to LF TF flag.
When it's not set to that, I have it set to the LF Anything Flag, as I'm up for missioning, but usually willing to get in on a TF as well.
So I never use the LF Mission Team, or LF Patrol.
Never hide though. Probably should, as I get tells asking me to join teams all the time, but eh, who knows, one of those tells might have me wanting to join the team. -
I have all 36 slots on Virtue open. 5 of them didn't have a toon sitting in them. Went to make a toon when I noticed the slot was unavailable.
I was told it was the store being down. :/ I didn;t bother to delete any toons, as I figured the slots would just be locked once I did. -

Mace gives a S/L Defense shield.
Soul gives Soul Drain, Power Boost and one of the awesomest holds in the game.
I'd say that answers why Mu tends to lose out.
As for Fire/Dark Corr, personally, I wouldn't bother with a KB Protection IO. Since it sounds like you're going the IO route anyways...you should beable to softcap range defense if not come close, not to mention with Dark Miasma's -tohit debuffs, you really shouldn't be hit that often to begin with.
I'd also go with Hover, as it's one of the best ways to leverage the range defense. -

This set really needs to mess with resistance (+ for your team, -res for the enemy) Its decent, and stacks well. 3 or 4 sonics are gonna be noticeable on a team (in a super team setting) vs 3 or 4 FF'ers. This is the sticking point Im almost positive that the devs have with Sonic and its prohibitive end costs....this set stacks too well, BUT its so bleh on its own that hardly anyone plays it.
Luckily/unluckily popularity doesnt mean nerf/buff....otherwise Empathy would be dirt right now.
Now, I'm not saying it needs the -Regen, but -Regen helps take things down fast.
Not only that, but for the Resist/-Resist set, other sets do better -resist, and dont need to team to get that advantage.
Now, I can't remember if Sonic Siphon stacks, but I do know, I don't want to spam it over and over again either, during my playing. Even more so, when solo.
Hmmm...maybe turn Disruption field into a Targeted AOE? That's END efficient enough to use on single targets? Maybe add a small -regen effect to it?
Keeps the power about the same, but useful solo.
I don't think it's that Sonic has a lot of team oriented powers that causes it's problem. It's that it could use a bit more solo friendliness.
Personally, I wouldn't change the cage powers. But a possible idea for them, is lower the duration, but increase the recharge/mag of it. So it still cages, but if you want to cage them longer, you have to focus on it more, versus the team waiting and waiting. Just a thought.
Personally, I love Sonics look and game play, except for DF's reliance on a teammember. -

My first thought is, you rolled a Defender. Okay, while solo, Defenders and Corrs to roughly the same amount of damage, starting out, Defenders just have less attacks.
This will skew the feeling of the set some, as you're waiting for attacks to recharge. Not only that, when on a team, you start to lose your damage bonus the more people you have on the team.
Learning the weaknesses to the various enemies will help, but I've found I'm usually set to go with Fire Ammor for the majority of my teaming, switching to lethal for AVs/GMs (the -resist of Piercing Rounds helping out the whole team).
Toxic, I pulled out a bit, but Cold Ammo, I never really found that useful.
But then again, I also don't know all enemies weaknesses (only a few few), to know which Ammo to switch to all the time either.
The only thing Dual Pistols lack, is an Energy Ammo setting (imo anyways) -
I read that. I don't recall reading that my character slots would vanish during that time though.

Well, I paid for them a long time ago. Now I finally get an idea for a PB, and I can't use the slots.
How long is this going to go on for? -
What does the store being down, have to do with my character slots being unavailable?! I paid for them, why are they blocked, due to this?

Hmmm...looking at Chriffer's build...
Has more AOE damage output for sure. Higher Defense too. End usage (and I think tohit) would be better if FA was replaced with Tactics. However, FA gives the tohit debuff resistance (though Tactics has the advantage of buffing the team).
Versus my build, which can Spam BF-Attack Vitals-Repeat with no gaps, a bit higher regen and like 10 more HP.
Depending on what you're going for, lots of ways to do things obviously. -

For PuG missions/TFs? No.

Now looking at the numbers, you might think without CP, I couldn't attack for hours and hours...well...that would be wrong. Gaeas and SoW let me attack at Diabolique for almost 2 hours, non-stop.
I actually have every IO in that build, except for the PvP IO, which, I'm almsot tempted to move to a defense power and slot a Kismet, for even more ToHit. this build is also setup to exemp. Alot of people would just as likely go with level 50 IOs, for better enhancement value.
I've tanked AVs with this build (havent tried Buffed up Lord Recluse, but I doubt it could do it without backup...tanks with back up have a hard enough time...though I did tank LR with my WP/EM Tanker with no support...but that was higher resists and way more Hit Points)...and I do mean tanked, as I used confront to keep the AVs attention.
BF-Attack Vitals-Repeat. Works for PvE teams, works for AV soloing. Managed to solo a pylon in 25mins flat (think that equaled to 155 DPS). Makes me think if I move that PvP IO slot to put in the Kismet, I'd improve on that, due to less missing, but part of it would also be luck in my Procs and Crits. -
If I had to skip one or the other...
Empty Clips.
Piercing Rounds I find great for teaming against AVs. Switch to Lethal rounds, start firing off the -Resistance, to have the rest of the team do more damage. -
My only problem with Sonic Resonance, is needing an ally to use it's -resist toggle. :/
Other than that, I find the set great.
It's that one toggle that makes me not enjoy my Sonic/ Defender as much as I could.
Force Field on the other hands, needs something more imo. -
Really? And I was avoiding using any inspirations at all. Sticking trickly with my own powers (and accolades).

...who's managed to pull this off with a scrapper?
I was trying today with my DB/WP. I was surviving just fine. I even got her to 5k hit points, but then she'd run off and heal up to 10k, at which point I'd get her down to 5k then she'd run off again.
Any tips? -
Well, for one, I like to know what powers people take with their builds for concept (if there is one) before outrighting giving a build.
But as a DB/WP user...first thought. Lose Nimble Slash. Weaken and Empower just aren't that good of combo's to use.
Stick with Attack Vitals, and if you want the AOE combo, Sweep.
BF-AV-Sweep-Repeat is easy to pull off, for general teaming.
My DB/WP lacks any travel powers and relies on Ninja Run, so are you set on Super Jump? -
I really don't think all those stars are going to be a problem.
Quite a few of them look to be cameos at most (whether showing on screen and saying a few words or showing up for a fight scene).
Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Arnold Swartzeneger, Dolph Lundren, Steve Austin...I think they're going to be bit parts at most. -

Dual Pistols is just painfully slow, especially in the AoE attacks. And there's the little fact that I didn't WANT Gun-Fu... small wonder I just can't get into the set...
And out of the two options...the standing there and shooting in place, feels less superhero/comicbooky and more western shootout.
