Yeah, looking over Young Justice animated series on Wiki, seems they wanted to use the original sidekicks for Robin and Flash.
Didn't care for Speedy's outfit. I liked his Teen Titans outfit more.
I'm guessing Artemis is going to be the same Artemis from the Amazon Island. -
Quote:I wanted new dance emotes, but I don't recall saying "pay for" >_> Bought it anyways... I'm not too surprised at the party-pack's poor reception, overall, but I am amazed, since I can recall several times in the past where people have said they wanted new dance emotes so badly that they'd gladly pay for them. Guess they were a great example of a very vocal minority...
(I haven't bought the party pack either... but at half price, I'd consider it.)
Figures- just bought 3 boosters last week.
ah well, might get the Going Rogue collector's edition pack....

It made me sad to see a Super Strengther who can also use Fire Breath, and we can't do such things with CoH

Sorry.

I of course meant some inspiration use, while the team took on the towers.
I was able to do it with my IOed WP/ Tanker, while the team took on the towers.
Was trying to think of a scrapper build that could that. -
For Soulbinder (CoT Mages), I find the new Positron TF, is the best way to get that badge.

...has anyone come up with a scrapper build that can tank Lord Recluse on a STF, without any support?
I've done it with a tank, but was wondering if anyone has done it with a scrapper. -

Hope everyone who celebrated had a great Thanksgiving!

Well, for me it's always dropped from the tray.

So, I pick mine purely from concept perspective, or in how I plan to slot it.
Kick usually gets picked on most characters, as a lot of attacks use the hands already.
That's for Melee ATs, with Martial Arts being the exception inwhich I always pick boxing.
Ranged back to what I think fits the concept.
The exception to concept would be if I want to slot the purple stun set, inwhich case has to go to Boxing. -
Quote:Hmmm...truthfully, I highly doubt it would of done any better, if he kept the helmet on the whole time.Ok based on that, I can blame Stallone yes. But blame still falls to the director, producers, etc. who didn't stand up to Stallone and smack some sense into him.

Hm, I wonder if for grins, or perhaps groans, we will get a cameo of Rob Schneider or Stallone in this new one? Kind of hope we don't.
It seems to be a common complaint from the fans, but I highly doubt that keeping the helmet on would of made that big of a difference in it's profits. -
Quote:I'd have to disagree. I think Wonder Woman is very iconic.I dunno. Daredevil strikes me as a perfect example of a Tier 2 superhero, even though he carries his own comic. He's not tremendously powerful, not very iconic, and if it weren't for that dreadful movie nobody outside of the Marvel-reading community would know him.
Wonder Woman is another counterexample. DC keeps trying to make her into an iconic figure but it just doesn't fit her very well. She has her own series that keeps dying due to lack of sales. She's only Tier 1 because DC hypes her so much...left on her own, Wonder Woman would easily fall to Tier 2.
Another Tier 1 with awful sales is Aquaman. He's iconic, powerful, and well known, but can't carry a book.
I think you need to decide whether you want to rank superheroes by fame, power level, or marketability. There are examples of heroes that excell in one or another category but fail in the others.
I'd say her sales are more due to the writing/subject of her stories.
She can be great, but it would take some changes imo, but nothing that goes with the changes I've seen so far. :/ -
Quote:The funny thing is, you're forgetting the genre you're playing in.Feel free to show me a robot that can do anything other than respond from a pre-selected set of responses

Machines can never have an imagination - they're too limited - the best they can ever do is respond to things based on the stuff we've programmed into them - they can never have emotions.
Perhaps in real life, you are right.
But in the genre inwhich you play, you're wrong. Robots gaining souls, is possible (though truthfully, I don't think it's commonly looked into either). -
Does this need to be fixed? Absolutely!
Best way to do it, ban the people making the missions, from making any missions
They either have to get another account (thusly the company makes money) or they just stop making them.
Haven't really seen a lot of spam saying "lfm for AE farm". Once or twice, but not a lot. I see it more on global channels now, than broadcast.
As almost a 6 year vet though, I'm really not bothered by it. *shrug* It'll get fixed, this I know. As all farms like this do.
I'm only suprised it hasn't been fixed sooner. -
Quote:Adrenaline perhaps?Speaking of raging inconsistencies, I see a lot of that in certain brands of anime.
For example, I've been watching D.Gray-man lately. I just finished watching the second season. Exorcists in that show use mystical stuff called "Innocence" embedded in weapons or body parts to fight enemies called "akuma". This basically makes the exorcists superheroes, each with their own set of super powers. Exorcists are frequently bashed into walls or the ground, leaving deep impressions but just getting the wind knocked out of them; yet at other times they can get hurt as easy as any normal human. They can leap 30 feet into the air to smash an akuma, yet they're blocked by a 20 foot cliff. And despite their occasionally phenomenal leaping abilities, they can only run as fast as a normal human.
*tries to help with the inconsistencies* -
Quote:Heh...loved it.

Hmmm...I can think of a few that have had their own titles, but I would think were more the 2nd tier heroes...
Power Man
Iron Fist
Moon Knight
They just haven't seen to rise to the level of tier 1, imo anyways. -

I enjoyed the first Judge Dredd movie, but maybe that's because I never read the comic.

I knew he never showed his face in the comics, but them showing it in the movies, just seems really minor to me.
-
I think they chose Johnny Depp, because he's a box office draw.

I went to the theater to watch Public Enemies, because of Johnny Depp.
As for why not go with someone younger. I wouldn't exactly say Johnny Depp looks old.

Quote:Oh, I don't actually mind the writing of Batman surviving such things.Hey, I'll suspend my belief for something that looks cool.
Isn't that sorta what comics are about? Fantastical stories and action?
I don't even mind when we see Batman beat someone you'd think would win against him.
It's only when in discussions, about such things, that I'll say such things as, Batman can't beat such people as the Flash and Superman in a fight.
When it comes to the actual reading of comics, or watching their respective movies, the rule of cool takes over.

My thought is, without Joss Whedon's writing, it just won't be Buffy.
However, now I'm curious to know the difference between Joss's original script for the Buffy tVS movie, and what we saw.
I actually enjoyed the movie, but I enjoyed it for it's humor. -

Quote:Like I said, that's the game's version of Vigilante. An alignment. This is gonna' make me sound like a complete dick, but: You are wrong. What I'm going off of is the definition of "vigilante" I get from running Vigilante tip missions. Some Vigilante tips are perfectly understandable - you chase after the bad guys and hope someone else will save civilians from danger, as one might in a City of Heroes. Other tips are... Not as pleasant, like that one tip which has you assassinate a bad guy because he'll just get out of jail otherwise. And then there's that one tip where you let a hostage get killed on national television, possibly sparking A WAR, just because you're a jerk and want to punish the bad guys.
A lot of Vigilante tips are worse than some of the VILLAIN missions I've done, let alone the Rogue ones. Plenty of Rogue missions have me abandon the chance for a great scheme in favour of saving some guy's *** from his own trouble, with the narrative almost apologising for this by telling me "But... But... You'll get paid!"
And you know what the real kicker is? I can't "just dismiss tips I don't like," for one because I keep getting the same ones over and over again, and for another because there are something like ten per level range. Not a whole lot of choice there, when I need ten for an alignment switch to begin with. I've tried dismissing distasteful Vigilante tips. After dismissing all three tips I had twice in a row, I gave up and decided that my characters weren't going to be vigilantes if that's what a vigilante was.
The game defines what each alignment IS by virtue of defining the tasks and mentality needed to achieve said alignment. And the tasks and mentality needed to be a vigilante in this game equates to the jerkass, which I simply don't design any of my characters to be.
One can be a vigilante and not kill at all. There's concept vigilante, and there's alignment vigilante. To completely different things.
Spider-Man would be following the Hero tip missions for the most of it, but in the eyes of the law, he's a vigilante.
That's what I'm saying the difference is.
They should of called the alignment Anti-hero.
But it probably doesn't have the ring to it, that Vigilante does.
