I've heard of people failing the new TFs, but they all had one thing in common...multiple people on the team who didn't have a boost slotted.
-
Quote:Wouldn't that be true of a team with a 8 players who don't know what they're doing, but consisted of a 1 Tank, 1 Blaster, 2 Scrappers, 1 Rad Cor, 1 Cold Defender, 1 Dominator and 1 Fire/Kin Troller? You had 8 very competent forum-going scrappers on your organized team. If we're talking about a random PuG running this TF, you know that the story would be A LOT different.

Grab a jet pack, get to about 70ft (maybe it's 80ft) then taunt away
-
Quote:Give me a minute...I wouldn't call that a "Need a Defender or Corruptor for debuffs."

Besides, when do you ever see teams yelling, "Need a Scrapper that has at least one -Resist proc slotted for our TF team!"
*logs in*
*begins forming TF*
*realizes when on scrapper there's always at least one scrapper with a -resist proc slotted for the TF team*
*comes back*
You're right! Never! :O -

Eh, truthfully, I'm not really for the Hero's get access to the PPP's without crossing over.
Not really for the Hero's get HPP's either. My hero isn't a sidekick.
That said, I'm all for more Epic Powers!
Defenders and Corruptors have no Arctic Mastery?!
Corruptors lack a Fire Mastery!
Dominators need an Earth Mastery!
The list goes on!
Also more choices in the Epics! -
Quote:I think the developers think you could just as easily play on multiple servers.
I don't get it, but some people have a phobia when it comes to starting their own teams. I guess it's got something to do with the whole leadership role thing.
The ONLY valid point from the "Shards should be available from not just TFs and RNG!" crowd that I see is the fact that some people play at odd hours. And for them, it may be incredibly difficult to form task forces, or they play in low-populated servers. I used to play in Pinnacle for a while. In the morning by Eastern Time.
I not only could not find a team, but I couldn't start one either! There was virtually no one online to play with!!!
So I understand that point, and I respect it, and I wish the developers consider it at some point.
Character on your prefered server for the peak times. Character on the more populated server when your favorite server isn't quite busy. -

Quote:*hides that -resist proc* >_>All of the complaints against both of those TFs being too hard without "the right team setup" can be safely thrown out the window. We had no Temporary Powers, no debuffs, no heal others, no buffs from others (except for some that had Leadership pool), and I think only two people that had Ranged attacks.

Quote:Grab a Jet Pack. Hover up out of his range. Taunt. No tankers needs inspiration use. With this tactic, a Blaster with the Presence pool can tank Recluse with the towers up.Well this is a far far cry from being able to solo one. With IOs and proper inspiration usage you can stand toe to toe with any AV. I tank Recluse all the time on my Invuln tank and while the red tower's up I need to pop purples like mad but outside of that my invuln's a beast all thanks to IOs.
If you're facing a psi AV and that's the hole then just pop inspirations and/or accolades. If you want something different and you've never played a shield then I suggest either dm/sd or fire/sd. They're fun. elec/sd is fun too but doesn't do as much damage.
Enjoy.
That said, I don't see why a Brute couldn't solo AVs. Scrappers do it. Brutes have better survival, and roughly the same damage.
Attack non stop, get attacked by the AV, build fury, take them down! Whoot! \o/ -

Quote:I actually managed to get the combo's off. That wouldn't be abusable at all. Oh wait....
Speaking as a Dual Blades scrapper who got MoATF yesterday (I was on the same team as BrandX, actually, and BrandX is ALSO DB). And yes, combos pretty much don't happen against Battle Maiden; I deal.
I will say that the BM fight greatly increases the value of Scrapper ancillary pools' ranged attacks; the fight's made me strongly consider respeccing to an APP that has them.
It feels slightly higher than other level 54 AVs, but not outrageously so. As a guess, she's getting about 3000 HP back each time her regen ticks? Maybe less.
I've heard the warning patches don't show properly sometimes if people have their graphics settings turned down very low. Hopefully, this is fixed in the future.
However, it (the Apex TF) makes me want to respec into some sort of blast due to the pylons, but I hate the having it just for that :/ Especially since it's redraw. Lots of oranges help though.
Scrapper confront comes in handy with BM, if there isnt a tank. -

Wait. Do some people still have access to the Syndicate design?
I did, but it's gone! And it was one of my favorite costume's and I can't get it back!

Quote:And there I was on my own War Walker, confronting it, and a bit away from everyone else, and it STILL went towards the Shielder's aggro aura! For the Apex TF we did not revive any of the Police Drones. When the Warwalkers were all coming down at the same time I simply said, "Alright, everyone pick a Warwalker."

Grrrr...that AAO is just a mean aggro aura! -
Quote:I learned from my mistake...lots of Orange skittles.Well, I was on an invuln, and hopping next to the pylons meant we had a precious few seconds to drop it while I scampered around the corner.
Toxic burns. IT BURNSSSSSSSsssssss......
Get a better server? My home server runs teams like that all the time.
Granted, I TF a lot.
A LOT.
But yeah, most of the deaths came from the tentacle room, not having any temps meant we were waaaay low on ranged, so we had to put on the big-boy pants and go get it done.
-
Yup...5 times on Apex...3 on Pylons, 1 due to being stuck under a building during a blue patch, and then one more for using an awaken after said blue patch.

And I think someone was out taunting my Confront
-
Was lots of fun Bass! Thanks for hosting.

4 or 5 deaths in the Apex here. Got to greedy with those pylons.
0 on Tin Mage though
So, that makes up for it! \o/

Fire/Energy Dom may be what you're looking for.

Quote:Nope. Just 1 so far. If I find I'm not playing them at 50 to begin with, no reason to go through the arc imo.For me the answer is no. I have a lot of 50's just that I cant see everyone of them becoming an incarnate. Its like I see my many guys like a Justice League. Sure there are a LOT of really power guys in the Justice League but there is ONE Superman... ONE Green Lantern... Kind of like that..
SO I find myself selecting certain 50's being elected to Incarnate status.
Anyone else going this way ??? -
So far from my two runs at it on live, both successful (in fact, Masters of Apex Badge on second run)...
Range is handy for the pylons. Melee should likely get ahold of some orange inspirations.
The rest is pretty easy.
Pull away towards the truck at the bottom of the stares, if you're trying to avoid having the poilice drones killed by the nuke for the badge (of not using the drones, but not letting them get destroyed either).
Second mission. Tackle the swords. When you see that blue patch appear, I can get off a qued up attack and jump out by the time it's used.
You have to keep moving.
BM, don't immobilize her. She seems to immobilize easily (had a Dark Melee using Midnight grasp immobilize her easily), you want to beable to pull her out of the blue patches.
Constant AFKers and laggers will not like this TF. -
Maybe worry about it a bit less, and not rush it?
You have 40 level 50's. Do you even play them all? Perhaps, you can work on them at a slower pace and just have fun.
I have 28/29 level 50's and only one incarnate, and really, not worring about the others since I don't play them often (will likely get the 2nd with my new Corr) -
Quote:There's an advantage to putting it in Cremate over Incinerate, in that, if the OP exemps for Positron or Synapse (or basically any TF/Trial that exemps them to lvl 20 or less), they still have access to the Proc damage.Up until respecing for i19 and putting my hecatombs into GFS to save a slot I had my hecatombs in Incin which worked out really nice.
1) You will still have the damage proc there for lower level stuff
2) You have 2 chances for high upfront damage with Incinerate (a chance for a crit, and a chance for hecatomb proc) The double chance for burst damage in Incinerate is very noticeable.
If you don't put it into GFS I would definitely put it into Incin over Cremate.
As I myself usually exemp for such TF/Trials, it's where I would likely put the set.
