Not sure about Hemsworth, but I doubt he has been very "Thor" in most of his roles.
And I dunno... Thor seems a very different superhero movie compared to others out there (just in background, etc.), whereas GL just seems... more of the same, at least from previews I have seen. -

This build will also allow you to keep Munnitions Mastery like you want.
You'd likely have to move some slots around to keep the powers in use you want, but it can give you some ideas I'm sure. -
Well, I usually just grab -KB IOs, but on a new Blaster of mine, I actually took Acrobatics instead.
It fit the concept, saved me a couple slots for elsewhere, and I had the power slot available to take it.
So far, I'm loving the choice.

My opinion is that Illusion (PA specifically) is gamebreaking, and is more or less balanced by having no significant AoE output*, most of its ST damage tied to pets and no hard control. Add Dom secondaries, you remove the lack of AoE and get significant ST damage on which you have perfect control. Add permadom, you lessen the lack of hard control (blind/confuse at mag6 tagging bosses in one shot and EBs much easier ; as for minions and lieuts, not much of a concern IMHO).
*It could be argued that with reactive proc being WAI, certain combos like ill/cold get the best of both worlds. -

I've been keeping an eye on some names, and have yet to find the player logged in at all. This is by checking with globals and by keeping the name in my friend list. -
When a new Cold Epic is made for Defenders and Corr's, I'd like one of those powers to be an Ice Sword!

I mean with crappy movies costing well over 200 million to make these days, I seem to recall both Thor and Capt A are budgeted somewhere around 150 million. So 66 million north america plus world wide release tickets, plus DVDs and its easy to see Thor well into the profitable range for disney/marvel.
I personally would much rather have good movies and a franchise running of them, then a great movie that seems to expensive to warrent a sequel because of production costs. Comic movies are still a closet business. Yes some cross over and go mainstream but for every Batman Begins there seems to be a Daredevil. And a character like Thor who is popular to comic fans yes, doesnt have the same cross over appeal to get a 300 million dollar budget and expect to earn it back.
Green Lantern for instance is rumored to cost over 200 million dollars and i think will suffer the same issues at Thor in that its a primarily base appeal will be mostly just comic fans and more mainstream people might choose more mainstream looking movies to go to rather then one that though might be truish to the comics looks more fanciful then they would otherwise see. And in the summer viewing season when your not really going more then 2-3 weeks before a new release is pumped out (sometimes more like 1 week) having the higher budget will only work against the measured success of your movie.
I personally would rather marvel keep making movies the quality of Thor and making money then risk 300+ million and decide that movies just are not worth taking a risk on anything but an Xmen or Spiderman movie.
GL is human.
GL is being played by Ryan Reynolds.
GL looks to be a big actiony special effects movie.
I don't think the general movie going public really knows of Chris Hemsworth (sp?) the actor, just yet. Personally I thought he did an awesome job, but he lack name recognition.
RR on the other hand...he may not be one of the big HUGE names, but he's more known for sure.
Of course if the movie sucks (I'll see it anyways I'm sure) well then...but I really don't think it will be that bad. -

Well, for those who hit the 100% resist, isn't it only Lethal (maybe Smashing) damage only?
I'd be more okay with this 100% Lethal resist, if they threw in some enemies who had 100% Energy or Fire Resist, so my Lethal Damage scrapper can go \o/ I'm here to take down the baddie for you! -

/SR all Toggles except for 1 Clickie (the mez protection)
/NIN all Toggles except for 2 Clickie (the mez protection and self heal) the other abilities are really just more attacks, you could jsut skip them if you like. But Caltrops is like more AOE! I'm not including the tier 9 as I just tend to skip it.
/WP all Toggles except for 1 Clickie (the self heal). Also not including the tier 9, but I do use it, just not often once the IOs get put into place, but I'd never not take it, as it can save you in some spots.
If you really REALLY want an all toggle and go, never worry about a clickie power set, go Willpower Brute or Scrapper. I still wouldn't skip the tier 9, but it's not a clickie in the sense of click ALL THE TIME.
As for Primary...Electric Melee! Unless you set on this classic ninja/martial artist theme, then I'd suggest Ninja Blade or Dual Blades (for more AOE) -

Writers control the levels of power and who is winning in the comics. Based on the fans and the magazine the story is in.
Dr. Strange should always win over Hulk. As a simple dimensional spell could banish the green goliath. Or a spell of hypnotism or sleep. But...
if the same story would be in a Hulk magazine the outcome could be different and the Hulk would do some unexpected thing or would be buffed or he would be lucky. A floor trash would result in a small piece of junk hitting the magician etc.
Double standarts is like this. The person that the writer wants to win at that moment will do so... to appease the fans of teh book that the story takes place in.
Batman would overcome gods if the fans think he can do it! It just takes longer thinking for the writer to find a possible loop hole! -
