I was having similar issues, either connecting #1,#2 etc etc.....or taking 30+ hours of download....Heres what I did to fix it might help somebody else...

Copied all my coh files to another folder....went into the folder and did the " -test" tag on the shortcut...

but delete the coh.checksum file...now click the shortcut to start download

my download is flying now......

just offering friendly advice...someone told me to try this so Im relaying

Gratz on the event, I got to watch part of it when I got home from work while Sinny was being bid on. Glad to see this and wish I could have participated!

Without spinning this into a drama thread, just pointing something out to the winning bidder of Sinny. The rules clearly state it will not only be at the discretion of the bidder, but the biddee as well. Maybe you should read the rules more clearly

So, when I am on (as we only have the one comp atm) don't threaten to report her to P.E.R.C. and tell me I have to log off cuz you want her that very minute! And really, using language and threats that I would normally chalk up to teen angst or sexual frustration (you pick). As I am certain we will never meet in person because I don't volunteer with Meals on Wheels, (shut-ins depress me).

Ok sorry, wasn't trying to take the thread negative. Hope to be able to make it to some of the future events. I miss all the good stuff lol. I can only imagine how much work it takes for you guys to run these great events, so props to you individuals for the time you put in arranging and holding them!

This is pretty schoolyard, it's no wonder this server is labeled as the drama server. I have nothing against Bud or Cobalt. I think some ppl just will never see eye to eye for whatever reason. It's pretty simple though, if someone brings the ball to the game and you don't like the rules. Then go play with your ball and your rules!

That addresses both parties, as i've been warned to watch what I say on certain channels and I just use them for the purposes they serve. I'm not part of either 'cool kids club' .. cuz I am the coolest kid anyway ...lol

No, but seriously I enjoy both channels and even our own. DG Network is there to extend our connections to other great SG's and players whose coalitions are full. And ty to those who use it more than I ever imagined!

Otherwise... opinions are like.. well you know the rest. And if you don't at least you're learning...

So, early '07 Miss Sinny and I found out we were gonna be parents. As a musician it meant less time 'gigging'. That previous X-mas i asked her what she wanted most and she said a new CoX acct. I teased her relentlessly.. "What is this silly game?"

She had played the game upon it's introduction with a RL friend of hers and so one night at his house when we were all hanging out he sat me down and said here make a toon and gave me a bit of an introduction. Made a toon named after our son and... yeah I got hooked! lol

They just so happened to play on this server and I am grateful for it.. have met some awesome ppl here. They teased me about joining this dead SG I took an invite to (they were in Stryke Force) So as i lvl'd my first toon i recruited up DarkGuard. Thx to the ppl i've met along the way and those i've met by joining our lil SG .. it's good times and glad to be here coming across ppl (good or bad) I may otherwise have never encountered.

CoX - I can't quit you baby!!

All truth there.. if you want PvP try the arena chat. The other channels are there and always ppl starting TF's etc..

As far as the RP goes..uhmm invest in some action figures?

Champ is a great server full of great ppl even if they all don't see eye to eye.

Well all jokes aside... I joined with my vills in ELG. I did so after meeting SMACK and Psyko both great ppl and players! Always nice to log into a VG and find ppl always willing to help when you have questions or need a team.

I understood that ELG is actually headed up by SMACK not ELF. Not suggesting any of you join.. because honestly the ppl i've seen post i've never seen on redside or were ever willing to help me there like they have.

So, any members of my piddly lil SG or friends who ask where I am have joined and are enjoying it there. I can understand some of the hesitation from some, but honestly some of the most fun and helpful ppl i've met on this server.

So many great ppl so little time! But first ..............

DarkWar..ty for inviting and giving me lead (of which if you ever logged in would blow your mind!) of an SG that is exactly what you wanted it to be. W/o you i'd be just another out there! You helped me realize my potential for what i do well vs. what i didn't know in this game. If you only knew!

To the true DGer's w/o mentioning names.. you know who you are! Good times and bad ty for at least putting up with me.... to the few .. at least you got a taste of what it's like for one person juggle all that. But that's why you joined to begin with.. Thick skin and will say what needs to be said... if there were 10 ppl between 1 of you and myself.. i'd do everything in my power to get to you. I hope someday I mean that much to you! But dealing in the new year and love where DG is going per usual!

Stells and Hive: Ty Stells for that day we met back in the day and never wavering! And you Hive for staying here as well! You two never lose faith and you've done more than i could ever ask for from anyone!! TY so much!!

Steel and Ima: Way back in the day these two just made me feel like what i was doing and saying wasn't bad so much as it was appreciated. These are the kinda ppl you want in your corner! Steadfast and loyal! Phoenix Phalanx all day and next week! Mad love for the both of you like you'll never know... but btw Ima..nice cape! It was made from my mama's pu**c hair! lmfao ...best skit ever!!!

Sinny and Puppy: To the both of you for getting me into the game when the boy was born.. thx for the insight... oh btw.. what SG are you both in now? =P Puppy you're cool as hell and Sinny.. baby I love you more than you'll ever know!!!! As Braije would say.. "My Mama!" heh

MAH, 4shes and Tony... you guys have made the game so much better for me in many ways. Thank you for your insight and trust! Tony giving up the builds first back in the day.... 4shes xfering more influ than i'd seen up until now and wasn't sure why he trusted so much! MAH.. what can I say about MAH? His name says it all! He really is the Most Amazing...don't ever let anyone tell you heart don't mean a thing cuz that guy is proof! Wise beyond his years and a great, true friend to anyone! If you don't agree i'm open for debate on vent

Again with MAH, dude is so there if he has the time! That's the kinda ppl I wanna be around! I'd seriously click someone so hard that their extra chromosome would kick in if they didn't agree how much he puts himself out there! If you don't like this guy you just have issues; seek help!

Souljah and Onyx: My brutha's from another mutha! You two just let me be me more than anyone and laugh it up! Good to see you both back in the game.. cuz a lil lost w/o ya.. if it's not DG w/o me.. it's not DG to me w/o you two! Get down.. go 'head get down! lol

Abs.. yeah you man.. you get your own spot. When it all went awry you stuck with us and I will never forget it!! When others took the easy road you stood up and showed me what I wanted to see. If i'm the 'main leader' you sir are my right hand easily! Thx again Abs!! Way to have some foresight and fortitude .. not your first day with DG! You have no idea what that means to me and the SG! Shay/Wolf/Doc: Was very proud having you guys in the SG. Sorry it didn't work out for is all. (good thing i slotted that placate proc). Miss you guys all so much.. but hope you're happy where you are and best of luck down the road.. whether it's SG's or builds I hope someday we can be real and it not be weird like a perv pulling up to the curb with a candy bar extended. Hope that's in last year.

I could name so many more ppl but this is getting longer than i thought... so I'll say this.

Champion, you are the classiest server there is. They call us the drama server, but what things that you care about and have concern for in life don't come with a dose of that? Let's have more patience and understanding with one another this year. I love being here and will play nowhere else cuz there are just too many ppl here I enjoy teaming up to smash things with or shoot the poo!

I at first was screaming conspiracy when the server shut down. After much though, careful debate, and several curse words later I realised that the Devs wouldnt be THAT dumb....Maybe monitoring population migration trends...but no notice no warning "Sorry we got ur toonz heldz hoztij!" No way....Champ is imo, still way too populated to get the Axe. Each server has a purpose I would like to see some of the smaller less populated servers maybe merge....maybe 5-8 servers....but don't take away home! *cries*

Someone said that Champ was a west coast server? which servers are what coast?

I wanna dip my ballz in it!! Good stuff.. so basically what it's saying its as a spectator or contributor we're all guilty. So when ppl and technology unite... Drama persists!
