You have every chance to break away. Nobody's holding you here forcing you to post.
Mind, I'm not telling you to go away, but this is representative of the rhetoric you've been using. You've decided to make yourself a martyr for a cause of which you seem to be the only proponent so far.
Casual players can ignore the Incarnate system, others can participate in it to any depth they desire. This is a win-win. I don't think it can necessarily be said that 100% of development time is going toward the Incarnate stuff, either; while it certainly is getting the focus right now, there are always additions made to the standard game, as Arcanaville so excellently put it. -
Quote:Introversion doesn't really mean "hates dealing with other people" anyway; that's just anti-social. Introverted means you're more relaxed and comfortable when you're alone; that's how you recharge your batteries after stress. Extroverted people relieve stress by socializing. That doesn't mean introverted people don't like socializing, that just means it takes effort for them. You know, I'm basically introverted, too. About 97% of my play time is solo. But I've found that if I'm able to get into Internet arguments in a forum, I have the capability to occasionally stand to deal with people in PuGs. Maybe you can find that same resource within yourself since your Introversion is not apparent in the forums.

The 7.5% recharge is considered a set bonus, because it affects your character as a whole rather than just that one power, and set bonuses are not affected by ED.
The Rule of Five is the fix, or more specifically the balancing mechanism. It's working as intended. -
Quote:I remember when I first heard about the Teleport power, I tried to imagine how it would work. Could you just pick a point on the city map and jump to it?TP could also use an alternate animation than the loud, clumsy one we have now. People pick up TP for the first time expecting to be like Nightcrawler... not like an interstellar battlecruiser jumping into hyperspace.
This short range popping was not what I had in mind for a travel power. -

Inevitable that gimmick fights disfavor melee?
Here's a gimmick fight: The boss drops instakill patches that must be dodged everywhere in a ring within 15-120 feet of itself. Within that center 15' radius, eye of the storm such as it were, the boss regularly does an AOE attack that characters with defense sets can survive well enough but others will die pretty quickly.
End result, melee can stand there wailing away on the boss while the ranged either have to dodge, close in where they're in danger of taking lethal damage no matter what, or else build specifically for range to let them get outside of the circle of death, provided their attacks have a base range of 80'.
There. A gimmick fight that favors melee over ranged. -

I just started a Bots/Traps MM last night, and I wasn't wholly sold on Traps. This sold me. -

When my Defender gets to 50, I intend to get Fraps and record the fight with Trapdoor.
And then I'm going to look at you all severely. -
Quote:You know you can just look up the Flight Speed number under Combat Attributes and see that it's capped, right?I just confirmed with an old copy of my level 50 Blaster on Test. With no Flight speed enhancement in Fly or Swift, and no other powers to buff Flight speed, I traveled at the Flight cap in a 1 mile straight line course. Approximately 61 seconds, which is good enough for me.

Quote:If she's trolling, then she's working the long con on me and the people she plays with in-game.If you're only interested in RPing with people that like or are intrigued by or are curious of the fact you're FUTA and not metagame it, then what are you asking us for approval or input or advice for again? Are you just advertising so they'll look you up in-game? Or was this all just a careful troll, because it looks to me like you've already made up your mind on everything, including which term you want to use, and just want us all to clap and whistle and shout, "Well done! Way to stand your ground, in the oh-so-misunderstood and controversial genre of FUTA with FEELINGS. Here's your Oscar!"
The original question wasn't so much "should I say anything or not," but "what's the best way to say it." The OP might have benefited more from explicitly saying "and I am saying it no matter what," but it stands either way. -
Quote:True. At that point I guess you just have to hope your mitigation holds out.Of course, the obvious downside is that AoEs that normally just go "plink" on something with high HP can do up to 7x normal damage to you by hitting all of your HP sources at once.Quote:

What have you done. -
Speaking of Worst, Teleport is easily the worst travel power. To really make it shine, you want at least 5 slots in it, compared to the 1 you need for Fly, SJ, and SS, and taking Hover is almost mandatory if you don't want to deal with the possibility of falling.
That said, I love it and make room for it in many of my builds. Six-slotting it gets me some cheap +HP and +regen set bonuses, and it's one of the cheaper +stealth IOs available. And winning every race with my team from mission door to mission door and in patrol missions is just satisfying. -
Musculature seems more for non-Blasters, really. Being able to put in procs is nice, sure, but I imagine it's more for the buffers/debuffers who want to use non-damage IO sets, like if a Cold/Ice Defender would rather focus on using Slow IO sets for their Ice Blast powers rather than Ranged Damage IO sets. They'll get the full effect of Musculature then.

Quote:You might not understand the scale of the divided damage, though. The others have explained it, but let me throw some numbers on you.I do understand the shared/divided HP (hopefully) but still.
Base MM HP at level 50 is 803. I'm at work, so I don't have the exact HP numbers for pets, but Minion HP at 50 is 430, so let's go with that just for an example. So your setup looks like this:
You: 803
Battle Drone: 430
Battle Drone: 430
Battle Drone: 430
Protector Bot: 430
Protector Bot: 430
Assault Bot: 430
Total HP Pool: 3383
That's a lot of HP to play with. Let's say you're up against an EB or AV with a big attack, like Total Focus, that does a whopping 1200 damage. If it hits you and you don't have BG mode on, you're dead. If it hits a bot, only the bot's dead, but you have to spend some time resummoning and possibly upgrading, and in the meantime you have less firepower or support, depending on who died.
But if you have BG mode on and you taunt the AV so it hits you with Total Focus? Well, with BG mode, you take 2 shares of damage and your bots take 1 share each, so that's 8 shares total. 1200 damage/8 shares = 150 damage per share. You take 300 damage and your bots take 150 damage each. Everyone survives.
By spreading out the damage, you vastly reduce the effectiveness of the attack. And because you're an MM, you probably have buffs or heals to repair that damage, or even mitigate it in the first place. That's the power of proper tankerminds. -

Quote:It's not so much a question of offense as it is of accuracy. Transgender implies transition from one sex to the other, but Cat's characters were never biologically male to begin with, nor do they want to become male.I think "Trangendered" would be a good tag for the VV page... and simply put a link to it.
I don't think any LGBT would be offended by it, I'm certainly not
I honestly have yet to find a good word (other than futa and shemale, which have their own connotative problems) that accurately describes Cat's characters. -
