    I meant swapping the rech redux instead of your second accu. I seriously don't think you get anything usefull out of having 2 rech in your (relatively fast recharging) blasts apart from howl and shout maybe, whereas 2 accu makes you hit almost anything when fighting up to +4/5
    And keep that second accu in siph speed, you don't want it to miss! I.e. You could make shriek 2 accu/3 dam and use that spare slot to make siph speed 2 accu/3 rech. Shriek recharges really fast so no need for a rech at all imo
  5. psychic wail is a very nice nuke due to the -rech and stun, especially the latter when PB'ed

    Few more quick hints from my point of view:
    -slot 3 dam in all son attacks
    -i'd recommend a second endmod in transference
    -for ID just slot a +res or +range in the basic slot and move the extra slots to a later stage in your build when you have slots left and use them for other powers earlier.
    -FS doesnt need end redux. 2 accu/3 rech is good
    -3 rech in siph speed
    -try slot amplify with 3 rech asap, or at least much earlier then you have now

    Other then that looks pretty good.

  7. Blackstar is pants. And it's incomprehensible how so, because on paper it should be on par with other nukes, bar inferno, but damage is severly dissappointing for real- even though it's the little resisted neg.nrg dam. (I remember a mate from a while ago who had a bind attached to his nuke saying something like: "I used blackstar and killed one, get all the survivors!" )
    Provides you with a big end crash, all your toggles drop and makes you inactive for a while.
    2x times a combo of nightfall+tentacles do about as much dam on paper, so do the maths...

    /rad actually has 2 toggles you gonna use against an AV. Not counting Choking Cloud with which you need to be dangerously close to AV's and get creamed quickly. Besides it's not that good a power imo anyway, especially not for a corrupter.
    Many ppl tend to think /rad is the way to go against AV's and underrate /dark in that aspect.

    I'm convinced that /dark is very good as well (personally i even prefer it over /rad). Massive -accu (which is really nice in keeping the MM pets alive), but not just from DN as said, but all powers combined. So also TG and the stare. The latter is not much use for fearing AV's as it's broken by the constand attacks, but the added -accu is very good (slot for -accu).
    And then ofcourse you got Fluffy... with a huge accu (and dam) debuff PBAoE aura and her own personal DN on top of that. Take recall friend to be able to TP her right next to the AV, because that's where she comes to her own, not from range.

    And then you also got all the combined dam debuffs from TG, DN and Fluffy. Lovely.

    Also the nrg and psi resist from shadowfall (apart from the nice stealth ofcourse) is very sweet against AV's and carnies and arachnos you will face a lot in the late game. The +def is rather small and not worth enhancing imho, but offers a nice small synergy with all your accu debuffs.

    I reckon Pwipski is saying HT is good against AV's because of the nice -regen and -rech, but LR from /rad is overall better then HT. Except against AV's with high def, cos HT is auto hit and LR is not. But most of times this shouldn't be a real problem. (and also you got your /poison friend MM with nice def debuff).

    Both are very good against AV's, and imo you should just take the secondary you prefer most overall. AV's will make out relatively few mishes considering your whole career as a villain. So pick the set you think you'll enjoy most from 1-50.
    Either set has some slight advantages against some different AV's, but in the end it comes down to what set you like to play.

    That's domi's you're talking about. Fire/fire nor ice/ice is a non-combo for trollers, unless they create new secondary ice and fire (de)buff sets for trollers
  12. I agree with sitriel on all points and i got some more clues for you.
    If you are going for plain SO's/IO's and not IO sets then:

    - i'd recommend 2 accu's in all your kin powers that need to hit (transfusion/siph power/transference/siph speed as well as FS). Also 2 accu in your blasts be nice, but it's not really necessary
    - take out the end redux of kin powers. Bing a kin you should have no worries about end, especially when you put those 2 slots of accu in tranference
    - and talking about transference, i'd make it: 2 accu/2 rech/2 endmod
    - siph speed: 3 rech pls!
    - rech in ID is quite pointless (as is the end redux as stated before) better put in a resist or even a range to make it easier to unmezz teammates at range.
    When you have slots left at a later stage a rech in ID is nice because it makes the SB+ID buff routine easier, but that's of low priority since there's mostly only the squishies in a team to ID pro-actively.
    - the tohitt buff in AIM is overkill imo, i'd take m all out and find better places for it.
    - for example to put a 2nd accu in web envelop. If you gonna immob them, make it work
    - SJ+IR? ... hmmm
    - try to fit in hasten (suggest to remove acro and take a -KB IO -they are affordable-, or remove one of your 2 jump powers) being a kin is about speed, you know you wanna stack hasten+siph speed
    - shriek recharges so fast that slotting recharges is redundant, it doesn't add to your attack chain. And the res debuff from it doesn't stack with eachother anyway.

    Although i like to think that the more people singing, the better place this world gets, you being less killed got prolly more to do with your mastery of the powersets and hardly the presence of a tree...

  16. Solo a lot?
    In high lvls it hardly makes much of a difference what sets you pick, more a case of preference, style and skill.

    Lower-mid lvls: mind/ and secondly grav/ prolly imo.
    As far as secondary goes /ice is great because of -speed/-rech and PB and very nice ST dam.
    /nrg although one of the lesser secondaries overall, is pretty good for solo as well due to the the KB and (stacked) stuns which provide nice extra control especially when paired with a pimary that has (AoE) stun. The AoE dam totally sux, then again you get PB in here as well. Gotta wanna put up with the slow animations of /nrg though...
    The brutal AoE of /psi is only relevant starting lvl 38/39 when you have the hugely overpowered PSW at your disposal.

    Just pick a combo you feel like playing. In the end it's possible to solo (or team) any domi pretty easily regardless the powersets.

    Domi's are the class for the delicate, daring, smart and subtle souls.

  17. 1. Blackstar is just plain total pants for a nuke. The damage is pathetic (although on paper it should be on par with your average nuke, but that's just a big lie. (even in spite that it does the little resisted neg.nrg dam) 2 combo's of tentacles+nightfall is about same damage...
    The huge -accu is nice, but also redundant with your huge numbers of accu debuff already flying around. Defo not worth the end crash which will put you out of play, make you defenceles, drop your precious toggles and prevent you to keep on fighting.
    Very, very dissappointing power... Avoid this one imo.
    2. Life drain is nice. Very fast activation and animation time. An excellent power to quickly pick off mobs on low health and scourge kill them. And ofcourse with a nice little heal for yourself as well!
    I discovered this little gem rather late tbh, because at first i didn't think much of it. But i tried it and learned i'd never want to go to town without it.
    Recommended. Slot it well.
    3. Torrent. In general hate KB cos of the little knowledge by most users how it can totally screw up fights, but when used well Torrent is a great tool to keep/move mobs on your patches, group m into debuff toggle range and cluster m for (your) cones as well as get nasty mobs out of your face and on their backs. (and also you can slot a force feedback +rech proc in it )
    Pick up or ignore this power depending on your playstyle.

    Best use heatloss before your nuke anyway imo, because you want to have that nice (res) debuffs applied.
