I hope we get some details about the I8 lv 50 content soon. -

It would be a nice compromise since player apartments were scrapped.
[/ QUOTE ]
They've been scrapped?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, the dev's replaced the player apartment idea with the new low cost base items. I think the reason was that player apartments would be mostly eye candy with little substance, and the dev's did want to waste resources on something that had no useful game function.
I would have loved a personal apartment for my mains. -
Good luck with the new position Cuppa, we will all miss you. -

Shield Tankers were dropped from development. It would have been the single-most costly powerset to produce.
[/ QUOTE ]
When did this happen? I must have missed this announcement. Do you have a link to the post or the story about this? -
[ QUOTE ]
Well the one "we never play" is only one of two zones, Faultline or Boomtown.
[/ QUOTE ]
Faultline matches that description better than Boomtown. Several contacts send you to mission doors in Boomtown. There's only a few kill X missions in Faultline. -

It makes me think that they thought of only 8 powers, but had to fill in 9 tiers. So... let's subtract DEF here (UY) and put it over here (TH), to tone down the potential DEF provided by Invinc. Viola! 9 powers!
[/ QUOTE ]
Unyielding was originally Unyielding Stance and it had no -DEF component. It did, however, make you immobile. This was incredibly unpopular and it was decided to remove that penalty. At that point, the -DEF was added to replace the Immobilize penalty.

We know the history, but why is it needed after the GDN and ED?
Single. Greatest. Question. Evar.
[/ QUOTE ]
What he said. We know the history. Why is it still needed?

Of all the tank/brute/scrapper secondaries, UY is the only mez protection power that hurts the player more than it helps. The silly debuff should just be removed completely.
I doubt that will happen, but since UY is half as strong as it was before I5, the debuff should have been at least halved as well. -
I like the change for my inv brute, but I would have been happier with the debuff totally removed. The debuff is still too much of a penality compared to the mez protection powers of the other tank/scrapper/brute sets. For that matter, Unstoppable's crash is so extreme compared to the other tier 9 powers.

Hmmm... I wonder if the Double XP thing also Double your Prestige?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd be more worried about if influence is not doubled as well.
If it's not, I forsee a lot people complaining about how poor their characters are when they are leveling faster and needing to replace enhancements sooner.
[/ QUOTE ]
On the test forum, Cuppa already said the inf and prestige would also be doubled. Which is good since I have a few alts that are dirt poor. -

It's called the CSI Effect, and it's VERY real.
I've heard from prosecutors who have gotten cases where they literally apprehended the guy with the weapon AND the loot -- but the jurors acquitted because the prosecution didn't offer DNA evidence.
[/ QUOTE ]
lol. Good for them. The State gets a lot of advantages in criminal trials, now the wicked have a new Champion: CSI!!!
[/ QUOTE ]
So you are acutally happy that a person caught with the loot and the gun (making him an armed robber) was set free to be an armed robber again? -
In this case FF's intent was outweighed by his reckless behavior. Being reckless in any activity that results in a death can result in jail time.
For example:
A camper makes a fire that gets out of control and destroys a forest, many homes, and results in deaths. It is later determined that the camper was negligent in managing the fire. Most likely the camper would be prosecuted.
In a hostage situation (like a botched bank robbery), the police officer in charge of the scene decides to try wait out the hostage takers and negotiate before sending in the SWAT team. Another officer decides on his own to assult the hostage takers on his own, which results in the deaths of several hostages. This office would most likley be prosecuted.
In both of these cases, neither party had any ill intent, but their actions were reckless. -

Be they bugs or intended, is this really a problem?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes - particularly if this was intended. The only end-game content of consequence for Heroes should not have been stealth-changed. Since CoH perks for I7 were pale in comparison to the CoV side, I'd say it was not the correct time to adjust the jello without alerting us of it at least.
I'll err on the side of caution and assume the changes were unintended.
[/ QUOTE ]
If this was an intended change they players need to be notified. Serveral dozen people possibly failing a raid, getting alot of debt, and wasting a few hours due to a stealth change would not be good. -

I thought the titans were more powerful than the gods.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, just older. The gods did usurp the titans after all. In fact it was Zeus who "pwned" his old man, Cronos, and send all the titans to Tartarus.
[/ QUOTE ]
Only with the help of other Titans, though. Gaia (Zeus' grandmother) helped him take down Cronos. (well, in one set of the stories anyway)..and Cyclopse and some others helped fight the rest.
It's been a while.
It may just be that they were more powerful because they had more experience and wisdom or something.
[/ QUOTE ]
Could Zeus also be considered a Titan since he is the child of 2 Titans? -
I just did my 1st mayhem mission and had alot of fun. I used my lv 31 ss/inv brute on the Talos map.
I entered the police station, after doing a decent amount of damage, and had no real problems, and get a lv 31 lt pet.
The only odd thing was getting a 4th key from the Freakshow in the zone. I had already completed 3 of the side missions where yuo need a key, but the 4th key's mission door did not display on the map, so the 4th one might have been a bug. -

Did you know...
I once witnessed the tram go off the tracks?
That movie posters flicker?
That a company shockingly called DevCon constructed the Arena?

Do you know that there is a company in the Rogue Islands called ConDev? Click me and read the 3rd paragraph. If you notice it also uses a red rook logo just like DevCon.
During the last winter event, The Gamester left presents and posted his red rook logo on billboards around the city. Check out the Paragon times article on Festival of Terror. -
Back during COV's beta, the round Arachnos portals would only allow 1 person at a time through. When a character clicked the portal, it would open, and the next person would ahve to wait for the door to close before they could enter.
This led to groups of characters all standing around rapidly left-clicking on portals trying in vain to get into their mission. -

Well, those who said the Patron Powers would have to be very, very similar across the Patrons weren't wrong. They seem to follow enough of a set pattern that no one pool is outstandingly different from any other. For example:
Brutes get: Ranged single-target attack, AoE Immob, ranged AoE damage, Pet.
Doms get: Attack OR End buff, Armour, ranged AoE damage, pet.
This isn't a criticism.
[/ QUOTE ]
Making the powers so similar is the only way the devs could have made them a permanent pool choice. The only real difference is the type of damage the attacks do, and the damage types the shields protect you from.
