Quote:Haven't tried any of them. EU players weren't allowed to enter that competition so I pretty much lost any and all interest in seeing what was being submitted. Do you have a link for that sub forum? I'll take a gander at it.Well, for what it's worth I really like Apples of Contention - 3184, but then I'm a sucker for anything involving Greek mythology. Haven't had time to play any of your others yet. I'm curious what you think about the arcs nominated for the 2009 Player Awards over in the MA Stories & Lore sub forum? Seems like some pretty good ones to me.

Damz, you're awesome and I salute your initiative! All the best getting it done.

Quote:Adding to the others people have pointed out thus far, good luck getting Whitecap (the one in the ship off of Talos) without a travel power or outside help that can make you jump higher than the rim of the ship. Some of my favorite badges are ones in hard to reach places... and getting them without travel powers. With the exception of the badges on top of Atlas and City hall, and one on a power tower in KR, I'm fairly positive any exploration badge can be gotten at level 1 (non Epic AT) without any outside help, booster pack powers, or anything.

Quote:Why does he have to have what he does in his name? Why not go for Cobalt Shade, Cerulean Dervish or Indigo Envoy?
For the second, if you want to go really patriotic, in the sense of being so tied to the land he won't function if not in contact with it, well, one interpretation for the name of the subcontinent on which you abide, America, is that it is derived from the Gothic Amalric, which means Kingdom of Heaven. I think that would be a good name for a tank, don't you? -
Quote:No, no sarcasm intended. I happen to think that those who write for a living might have a better grasp of the intricacies involved in creating an adequate weave capable of ensnaring one's imagination and send it into wondrous flights of fancy.Do I detect a hint of sarcasm? I love the guest writer program and I've played all their arcs and they are each very impressive in their own way but there are literally thousands of good arcs out there, yours probably among them, that I despair ever being able to get around to playing. No shortage of content anymore for this game. It would be nice if the Devs could manage to expand the DeV Choice list sometime though.
So far, I've done the first of Rooster Teeth's arcs (and am a bit disappointed I didn't get to touch his awesome button) and Bill Willingham's arc. I quite enjoyed them despite the typos present and graded both with 4 stars and comments.
I quit doing other people's arcs a while ago as I have no patience to sift through the farms and the immense pile of derivative, inane drivel that passes for a story or arc that is out there. Unless they're from acquaintances or suggested by someone I know in game, I won't touch them. That being said, I don't consider any of mine to be works of art. But I quite like them and once in a while I take them out for a spin and have even managed for some of my game acquaintances to play them.
I applaud the effort of the Guest Authors and wish the Devs could get more of these in. -
Quote:Vidiotmaps also has the interactive maps with the location coordinates for each badge. Which means all you have to do is to type in /loc and then match said coordinates with game location. Numbers returned from loc are N-S position, height, W-E position.Agreed. A favorite trick seems to be to put them much higher or lower than ground level. There's one in Founder's Falls that is actually in a tunnel that runs *under* the main map, and that you aren't likely to notice. Especially if you're just aiming for the green Vidiot badge. And there's one in Faultling that you'll probably never find without assistance, unless you are *very* observant, extremely patient, and possibly also very lucky.

Quote:As I Pisces I most vehemently protest against this depiction!Pisces
Strengths: Compassionate, Adaptable, Accepting, Devoted, Imaginative
Weaknesses: Oversensitive, Indecisive, Self-Pitying, Lazy, Escapist
Playstyle: Aaahhh The Pisces Player, affectionately known as Mat to the rest of the playing community; as in wipe your feet on the Mat before you enter the mission. The main weakness of the Pisces Player is their desire to please combined with laziness and a bone-deep surety that whatever independent action they take will have a hidden flaw in it somewhere leads the Pisces Player to let everyone else make their decisions for them. You will next to never see a Pisces Player running solo and if they do they will often spend several minutes prior to such efforts Broadcasting a series of questions about how best to handle any eventualities. While on teams the Pisces most frequent chat comment is Whatever you guys want is fine with me.
And seeing as I have:

Oh, don't worry, it doesn't bother me at all... I just like to know when I'm being neg repped, don't care who does it.

Nightmarer, I point you towards post #4 in this thread.
Better yet, I'll link you to it. Here, have a link. -
15 mins per pound at high heat. When poked, if the juices come out, it's done.

My 2nd brute went from 31 to 43 and my 2nd blaster went from 27 to 30. That is all.

Welcome back Aero! Weren't you doing an internship over at the Brigthon offices last time I saw you?

My pleasure Rosie, enjoy!
Oh and on the comment front, we've now entered the realm of the metaphysical... positive comment with negative rep or blatant sarcasm: your guess is as good as mine.
OK, so I was bored...... 10-11-2009 08:30 PM Its made of win!

Hmmm... interesting question TD... Yellow sugar is the unrefined sugar, that is, the one you get straight from the cane before it is processed and bleached or whatever it is they do to sugar to make it white (white I think is called caster sugar). Brown sugar I have no idea...
Ah, I just read the Wiki on it... what I used was Muscovado sugar, or, as you guys should know it over there, dark brown sugar. -
Bad Coin! Bad! No pie for you!
Recipe for Rosie, goes like this
For the crust:
100gr yellow sugar
100gr butter
250gr flour
1 teasp raising powder
1 large egg
Pre-heat oven to 180º C. Butter a circle tray with removable bottom. In a bowl, mix sugar with butter until smooth. Add whole egg and mix it in. Add flour and raising powder and knead into a ball. Place dough into tray and spread it to cover the base. Bake for 15 minutes.
For the topping:
100gr yellow sugar
100gr butter
3 tbsps milk
250gr blueberries
25gr sliced almonds
Mix sugar, butter and milk in a pot over a slow heat and let it come to a gentle boil. Add blueberries and almonds and let cook for 15 mins. When done, pour over crust and replace pie back in oven for another 10 mins at 180ºC. Serve hot or cold with cream or ice cream if you want to.
PS - Oh, as for this:
OK, so I was bored...... 10-10-2009 07:41 PM this pie is made of fail and babytears
All I'll say is: lrn2read... you'll find those weren't even ingredients on the list, n00b.

To whomever left me the charming "myxomatosis" comment: at least turn your rep system on so I can see if it was good or bad rep. And for the record, I have never mixed my toes, thank you very much.

Ah yes, I have yet to meet Damz: the man, the legend, the n00b...

You're right, it is indeed, a bad idea.
