Who, in their right mind, would want to park their caboose in that?!

Quote:And that's what I love about my language (Portuguese): everything has sex in it. It is like one big grammatical orgy with a few asexual entities thrown into the mix to spice it up. These last ones get a tag of male or female added to them when differentiation is needed, i.e. they swing both ways.Portuguese also has gender for almost everything... using some of your examples:
Table = female
Chair = female
Knife = female
Fork = male
But then... there is also words that have versions for both genders and a few neutral...
Knight has the two versions
Ninja is neutral
And I probably could make this even weirder... but enough about portuguese...
Also, by default everything is treated as male. No one gets offended and strangely, it does not dehumanize anyone or makes them feel less as people. That's what our misogynist, homophobic and racist society framework is for. I mean women only got formally recognized as something other than a lesser human in 1867 and only started voting as of 1931 (but only if they had a graduate degree). Sexual minorities(Is it PC to call them minorities?) aren't recognized as humans and are frequently the target of violent hate crimes. And I do mean violent. As in beatings to death. And lets not forget the ever present racism, as it waxes and wanes permanently, spreading its oily hateful tendrils insidiously everywhere.
Oh, by the way, how myopic is it, when striving for the usage of other gender neutral pronouns in English other than "they" and "their", to chose TWO words instead of just one? Is the PC crowd just trying to confuse others or are they secretly sniggering when other people's backs are turned to them? Indulging in gleeful delight as they go "SUCKA!"?
I love comic books. -
Quote:Because PoisonPen isn't assuming anything about the gender of the person she/he was talking to. And it's a lot easier to type sie and hir than she/he and his/her.Quote:Are these pronouns used in RL at all? I had never seen them used.
I agree the English language needs some genderless pronouns.

Quote:Yes, that's all fine and dandy but as it happens, I have more rabbits and hares than you can shake a carrot stick at and mine are actually rabbits and hares who by various means end up being super heroes/villains. They're not pure humans wearing costume parts, they're symbionts, mutations, animal spirit possessions, genetically engineered rabbits, rabbits from outer space/other dimensions/parallel universes and rabbit gods/godesses to name but a few.I have a bunny girl, but I don't think she needs a bunny head to be complete. Her concept actually is built around the idea of a controlling ex-boyfriend that wanted a "Playboy Bunny"-type girl.
I wouldn't object to a rabbit head, however. And she could probably use some better ears.
And I need a head for them! -
I get the feeling all y'all hate rabbits... I mean, am I the only one vying for rabbit parts?
Come on people!
I need someone to give me a head! -
Quote:Rabbit heads too, pretty please with maraschino cherry on top?Wolf and cat heads. Nuff said.
No, don't even THINK about saying 'we already have wolf heads'. Those...things are not fit for use by anyone. They are hideously shite. End of.
Wolf and cat heads, please.
Pwwwwwwwweeeeeeeease? -

Either way, it's going to be long awaited. -

Divorce it from the 1st and 2nd anniversary badges and make it so that everyone who has 2 different anniversary badges is awarded the 5th Column Gladiator. Problem solved.

Quote:Awww gosh darn it! All the good ones keep going away!Heya folks,
It is with a lot of sadness that I share with you the news that Im leaving Paragon Studios. Life sometimes has surprises for us, which was proven to me again just recently when an opportunity presented itself that would greatly benefit me and my family. These kinds of decisions are always tough to make, but I have come to accept the fact that it might just be time for me to shake things up by accepting a new challenge and in the process leave behind one of the most expensive places in the country to live.
While Im okay with leaving Northern CA, its not so easy to leave all of you. The past two years at Paragon has been incredible for me. Not only have I been lucky to work with such a talented development team, but my first foray into Community Relations landed me smack dab in the middle of the warmest and friendliest community on the Internet. I cant express enough how much affection I have for you, and how much I will miss interacting with you every day. City of Heroes and its amazing community will always hold a special place in my heart, and while I wont be front and center anymore, you can bet that Ill still be online as a player wandering the Rogue Isles and looking forward to the exciting plans that I know Paragon has in store for you.
My leaving presents an opportunity for you to get to know Beastyle a little better, also known as Mod 5. Beastyle has been around for a few months already and has been eager to get more involved with all of you. Now will be his chance to do so. It hasnt taken him long to realize how special this community is, so I know he will take good care of you!
Again I will miss you and the rest of the Community Team more than I can possible convey. Thank you all so much for making the last two years the most rewarding professional and personal years of my life.
Until we meet again,
Eric theOcho Cleaver
I'm going to miss you Mod08...
All the best in your future endeavours and here, take this for the way in case you get hungry. *hands over bushel of carrots*
PS - you're not getting your wallet back though. I pinched that fair and square! -

Quote:Well, I don't see how that relates to the discussion and...Have you guys tried just stretching it out? That is what I am talking about. Not moving it away from the chat box.
Oh, you mean the window.
Yes, that is what I always do, I resize it so that no button overlaps and the box becomes bigger. Nevertheless, next time I log in, it has reset to its original shape and form. -
Consider yourself lucky then, as it always resets for me. :/
I dread marking myself as a spammer.
