Quote:Have often felt that either AE or Arena kiosks in the base would mimic this function rather nicely. Also, some kind of "Danger Room" would be cool, where in that room your Defenses attack you and SG mates can "practice" with each other while in that room. I don't know, maybe some kind of "Studio B" style door room in the base that instead of suppressing powers flags you as some kind of arena style duel.

Quote:Warburg nukes'll put a big, honkin' dent in his hide, too.Yeah, once the badge from Scrappy is obtained it's hard to work up the urge to kill him again for 2 merits. Still, what server are you on? Might be able to help.
As an L50, you can easily ignore the dockworkers and focus on Scrappy, if you can get him in a corner and summon a shivan and if your toon isn't squishy you could solo him. -
Also set your difficulty level to 1 and ask the team if they want to "turn up the heat" after each one til you reach a temperature everyone's comfortable with. IMO, going thru team missions where a) you don't roll over mobs like they weren't there, and b) the mobs don't roll over YOU like you weren't there are generally the most fun. Tends to give everyone a sense of accomplishment when you come out on top in a tough fight.

Hmmm, could actually START the whole thing with the flyer landing in the yard (anyone who's done the villain tutorial knows the spot
), and spawning a swarm of Arachnos troops who storm INTO the Zig. A few minutes later, out they come with their new Project: Destiny "recruit", with the prison leaking standard prisoners the whole time.

I want!
Actually fairly similar to, but more depth than, a similar "breakout zone event" my wife and I had discussed at some point. Like the idea of one or more EB/AVs and a Flyer spawning. Our original idea was more along the lines of a swarm of prisoners in the minion to EB range storming around the zone until subdued. -
If I'm not mistaken, "instant" status effects (tp, kb/d/u) have a stackable "window duration" of 4 seconds (though I'm likely using the wrong term). In other words, if I attempt to WH someone, and another player attempts to WH the same target within the 4-second window, the effects stack. I've seen this apparently work fairly consistently with knockback/down/up attacks, but am not sure if it applies to tp.

A bit of an assumption that I haven't tested: your POWERS are capped at +5 over the exemption level; the CHARACTER is still at the zone cap. In other words, in SC your character is capped at 30, but you have access to powers up through the one you acquired at lvl 35. I'd have to (for example) take a lvl 31-35 character into SC to actually see if my hp dropped to lvl 30 equivalent to be sure of this.
Edit: Yup, lvl 32 brute with 1098.0 hp dropped to lvl with 1020.7 -

They really need a /nerdrage_quit command in the game that deletes all your characters, deactivates your credit card on your CoH account and uninstalls the game. That way, all the so-called "nerdrage quitters" could "put their money where their mouth is" rather than spending weeks raising a useless hue and cry on the boards.

You can't deny factrs.
Here is a screenshot of me being STRONG and pretty. -
Couple of notes of my own.
Oppressive Gloom: Granted, may not be worth as much on a brute, but on my necro/dark/soul mm (cliche', be not proud) I frankenslotted this with the procs from Absolute Amazement (big -to hit), Stupefy (kb) and Razzle Dazzle (immob). I parked him next to Reichsman and watched him miss... a lot. It's a handy way to help a team deal with an EB/AV surrounded by minions: set to follow the BigBad, stun/immob/kb his friends, and grind him down. And with 2 slots from each set, I'm getting (iirc) +8.5% Recovery; all three sets have that as their first bonus.
Also, this is very similar to my dark/dark/soul corruptor. The one who solos red Ballistae without batting an eye because, although the fight tends to be LONG, they hit back (successfully) maybe 3-4 times. I've slotted almost entirely toward +acc, -end and -to hit. The damage takes care of itself in a rather inexorable way, especially when scourge joins in the dance. -

Quote:Or conversely, what has the Phalanx done to deter people (supervillain or otherwise) from exploiting said public knowledge?Okay, here's one that's been bothering me for some time. Apparently, in order to be a member of the Freedom Phalanx, your secret identity is required to be made public. Statesman's justification is that it helps citizens trust them more easily, but it doesn't take Lord Nemesis to come up with the idea of booby-trapping their homes or endangering their friends and family on a daily basis. That seems like the kind of thing that'd make people appreciate the presence of superheroes LESS.
My question is, how many lives have been ruined or even lost because of this ridiculously naive policy? -
Quote:Sooo... how would you describe yourSELF, as a superhero, in tv tropes terms?I think "Author Avatar" would be closest - I don't really RP, so what you get is me in digital form - with super powers, of course - even if there isn't an in-game hair style that matches my RL one

Having dozens of characters who are "developed" enough in my head to do this with, figured I'd start with my 50s.
Bloodspeaker - The Unfettered, Time Abyss - An immortal avatar of cosmic entropy, trying to cause the end of the Universe.
Banestar - Magnificent Bast***, Utopia Justifies The Means - Just trying to improve humanity as a whole... by getting the species to weed out it's own weak...
Agent Sharpe - First Person Smart***, The Unchosen One - The quintessential flirt and bon vivant whose been driven into the ground enough times now to know that it's really NOT all fun and games. -
