  1. As far as I know it works like this;

Every 60 seconds it ticks a 20% chance of granting a 10% Bonus to your End Recovery.

I've never really done a comparison of the numbers with it versus without it.

If you watch your End Bar, you can see the larger than normal jump when it ticks successfully though.

A friend told me it was a must have Proc, so I store them in my private Enhancement Table, and it is the first thing I slot when I get Stamina on a toon.

It might be interesting to see how the numbers actually are. Maybe someone who has already experimented with it will chime in.

    Thank!
  2. I usuallty use Buckshot more for its knockback, and really don't need it much now that i'm in the 40's. I may Respec it out, and pick up Hasten.

Right now Tar Patch is a little slow on Recharge, but it is usually there when I really need it. When solo'ing, i'll just wait for it if I have to, but most standard mobs can be dealt with without it using Fearsome Stare.

I've been doing a lot of teaming with the toon, and then use Tar Patch when fighting Bosses, EB's etc... I agree though that it could use more Recharge, I'll change that.

Beanbag is great! Most times I can fire it twice in a fight if I have to. I love using it on Nullifiers before they can use it on me, lol.

I was avoiding Hasten because of the additional End Drain that comes with using your powers faster. But since I will probably go with Mu, and get Conserve Power, I hope to be able to offeset that.

Thanks for all the help, and if anybody else has suggestions feel free to chime in. I'll still be monitoring the Thread.

    Thanks!
  3. This is the build I'm working towards. Please offer any suggestions you may have for improving it.

    Thanks!

  4. I still hold onto the hope that we will get some attention one day.

When that day will be is a mystery.
  5. Thanks!

I was thinking about Mu also. I wish we could set the corols of the Patron Powers like we now can with our Primary/Secondary.

Mu Effects would look sweet if i could match them to the colors I have set up for my Dark Miasma.

    Thanks again.
  6. Hi,

I'm playing AR/Dark, and just wondering if there are any tried and true Patron Powers that are really good for the combo.

I play PVE, Team usually, but Solo some. I do run SF's. No PVP this toon.

Ghost Widow would fit Theme wise, with the Dark Effects. But I will take any suggestions.

Thanks in advance for your help.

AR is solid for folks who will take the time to learn to control the Targeting Arcs. Most of its AOE's are Cones. It requires you to position yourself correctly, in order to get the most bang for the buck. Most people are lazy, and don't want to expend that much effort.

As for Slow Animations, I'm playing 8 man teams, and haven't seen where it is a problem. I also Solo the toon, and haven't had problems. If you use your secondary, your primary will do the damage.

    AR Rocks.

    Edited to correct spelling.

    I agree. Signed.
  9. With I14 we got Storage Permissions per storage item. And also got the 6th Rank, Super-Leader.

The first was welcomed with open arms, as it was something everyone has asked for.

The second was met with DOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM! But turned out to be okay.
  10. I gotta say I agree with most of Forbin's Canned Points.

Most of my characters had a Name, Background Story, and Theme in mind before creation. It would piss me off extremely if I lost even one of my characters Names.

I, like most other SG Leaders, are most likely very fond of our Sg's as they are right now. I don't want my Name changed, I don't want to be Merged with another SG that has the same name, I most definately don't want to lose my SG. Either of these things again Piss me off extremely.

I play on Triumph, I've always played on Triumph. I like Triumph. I don't want to play on Triumph/Pinnacle or Pinnacle/Triumph. I would like to stay right where I'm at.

I can only speak from my own in game experience, and all of this is of coarse my opinion, and how I feel about this particular topic.

But I think alot of the points being so readily dismissed as "Opinion" may be a concern to more people than you think.

    List of prices?

    There already is a Sticky.

    Guide to I13 Base Costs/Requirements

As far as I know nothing has changed since then, except we got Storage Permissions, and Super-Leaders.

    Edited to correct mispelling, and to Add this;

Some of the SG Badges were reduced in what you had to accomplish to get them in I16.

There is also a Thread concerning that, but it isn't a Sticky.

  13. Sometimes I wish I had your problem, lol.

Everytime I log on, it ain't a minute before I'm getting a Tell from a Global, or SG Mate wanting me to team.

It makes it hard to maintain the Base, and my toons, lol.

Really, you should give it time. Make some friends, and get some Globals. Before you know it, you will wish they'd leave you alone for a few minutes.

Join a SG. That should solve the whole problem if it is an active SG.

Also as far as people congregating, I was not referring to that. I was referring to the fact that when I used to log on or put a broadcast out that I was looking for a team, I would get like 10 to 20 tells or invites. Even when I search it seems like before there were 10-15 people looking for something, now search comes up with hardly anybody. Also, I used to notice a constant chat stream in the broadcast chat window and now nobody and I mean nobody is chatting. Just seemed dead to me, that's all. Another example is that I logged on tonight and got a tell asking for a team so I said yes. Then the guy comes back on and says couldn't find more. Then I asked him what was going on and that it seems like the place was empty and even he said and I quote, "Tell me about it".

I didn't post this thread to bash the game or say COH was dying. Just asking since I had been away for a little bit. Also, as far as catching up on patches, I never had to before because the player community was so awesome in helping. I hope COH community isn't getting like the WOW community (Rude). COH was a game you could just jump in to and everybody helped everybody even on getting up to date. As a matter of fact it I ranked it the best as far as a social MMO. Now the environment seems to be getting less social.

Look, I'm just stating my experience in coming back and honestly, it is not turning out to be a good one.
    Hi,

Another thing you missed while you were gone was the invention of a little something called AE. It started a War in the Forums, dividing the playerbase up into three groups. The Farmers, the Non-Farmers, and the Neutrals.

So many angry temper tantrums have gone on that nobody likes to be nice anymore. Expect rudeness for no reason.

It is now a part of the CoH Forums.
  15. My third request is simply this.

    Water.

Read all the other posts in this thread, go back and read all the lists made before. Water is one of the most requested Base design features.

Fountains, Waterfalls, pools, the abillity to "Paint" Water.

    That's my third request.

The Dev's are likely very busy with Going Rogue, and I highly anticipate the release of that. Odds are this thread will be ignored like the many others that have appeared on this Forum. I still have Hope however, that we will eventually get some attention to detail, and functionallity.

    Regards all.

    1) A separate channel for basebuilding text. Why plague the group every time you want to decorate?

    2) Energy effects - point (spheres of various sizes), line (of a couple different thicknesses, relatively short since you could line up multiple for a longer line), plane (both flat and vertical), and cube (in a couple of sizes). All in three or four colors and at least two styles, such as electric and plasma. Ideally with lighting effects, since this is a wish list.

    3) Lighting options for individual squares instead of whole rooms. The floor and ceiling heights have copy to room and copy to base options, lighting could as well. This would be good for having an area set aside as a detention zone, radiation test area, or what have you.

    3) NPCs spawning from and vanishing into the base portals - that gives the impression of people working at or visiting bases.

    3) Fans. Ceiling fans in lighting and standing/floor fans in room details.

Sorry for the weird three - I was in the Twisted Burrow less than a week ago and it hasn't worn off yet. Then again, only three of the 'three' are items. I claim individual-square lighting options as an item.
I really like your 1st number three. The rest of your requests are quite nice also.

But for square by square lighting to be added, you should have complete "Dual" or "Triple" control of that lighting. It should work basically like the lighting in the base now; giving you control High, Middle, Floor. (Paraphrased). However, you should be able to change the color of the light given off by the items in the Lighting Items List. This would help to build mood, theme, any number of things.

I can't count the number of times I've played with Base lighting, and gave the room a sort of "gloom". But then when you add Lights from the Items, it's a blaring white that screws everything up. They should be at least be dimmable, if they are to remain as they are.

I vote for more Lighting controls.

That is my second of the three requested.

They play no active roll in the game at all. they are NPC's. They are just there to add character to the Base.

The ability to specify what they say when you walk up, and the ability to specify what a "Doctor" says to you when you Base would be very cool.

I actually thought of a better idea. But this would require Programming.

Say we had a NPC, who is a holographic image, (Or a Spirit, for the Arcane Bases), that will either follow us through the Base, or jump to rooms we enter. It would be familiar with the rooms, and ask a question related to the items we can interact with in that room. Further, If in a room with multiple accessable items, you could click this Entity and access everything available to you in that room.

This same Entity would meet you if you Base, or zone in. It would give the same "Feeling of the Base having Life" but with only one NPC construct. It would appear in Control, and give you a report. It would appear in Energy and give you a report. If it appears in a room where you have options, you can simply ignore it, or use it. It could also be tied to the Market, or AE for those of us that still hope for these things.

If it were to happen, we should be given the ability to Name it, Define It's Gender, and place what it says in each room. If it could store a number of NON-IO Recipes, such as Costume Pieces (Wings, etc...), that would make it phenominal. The ability to modify it's looks would be cool, but not a must.

    Well, that's my idea.

It covers alot of what we all have asked for, and Hope to get.

    Regards all.

    (Edited to include the following).

I would call this the Base Entity.

That is my suggestion number one.

Also, they got busy, got fed up with the game for a while, got tired of the forums, finished their bases and got bored with it, or simply... got tired of the mess that is building and stopped building.

After i13, the nature of the building forum has changed as well.
Yes it has. It's now a place to showcase your latest stacking projects. I have no problem with that. I enjoy seeing what others have done with there base. It is a part of this Forum.

However, the request for change, and the drive to get the point across seems to be gone.

If Base decorating is what this Forum is going to be about, then I guess I will click here occasionally like the rest, and comment if I see something extraordinary.

It is obviously useless to request things from the Devs here. That has been proven.
  20. I too want the Devs to work on Bases, and give us some of the stuff we've been asking for forever. I still have hope that they will do it eventually. There are many people who used to post on this forum who never do now. What happened? They got tired of asking and being ignored.

Maybe one day, AE will be perfect enough that they can concentrate on something else.

Oh, as in hover/fly is a crutch for little boys who haven't learned their camera controls yet?
I was going to say something similar, but ya beat me to it. I never even use travel powers while building, and have managed to put together some pretty nice rooms. The Camera Angles will do anything you need to do.

But I guess it's all in your style of building. To insinuate that if you don't use Hover you must not be a good Base Builder is absolutely childish and silly.
  22. I got to agree with Caleb. The more you practice stacking, the easier it gets. You will also find that you make mistakes less frequently. (Like acidentally moving one already placed desk, and having to tear everything apart to put it back).

I'm all for more tools, and placeable wall sections, two sided floor sections etc...

But I'm not holding my breath, lol.
  23. Actually, you have to have 8 rooms, where you set Dimensional Anchors. They are found under the Items of Power Tab when placing Items in the Base Editor.

The enemies can spawn at any of these 8 points throughout your Base.

This is my understanding of how it works, maybe a Vet Raider will chime in.

But, the Cathedral of Pain Mish in the mission computer can't be launched unless you have 8 rooms, and 8 Dimensional Anchors set. And you must have the Raid Teleporter.

The CoP Mish has been offline due to an exploit, and you get your Item of Power from that Mish. That is what you are supposed to be protecting. Along with all the other stuff that could be destroyed in your Base, lol.

I too look forward to Raiding, and hope it comes back.
  24. Very good news. The Healing ones were a bit much, lol.
