  1. I Foresee Rad/Em Blasters, Fire/Elec Scrappers, and Thugs/Thermal Mastermids as the new FotMs to come.
  2. The person below me falls prey to a back-firing cartoon antic used to destroy the person below him!

    Also... AE BROADCASTS NOOOO.
  3. This game has teamed Grinding. So at least your not alone.

    Best Movie of the Summer.

Absolutely Golden. If they make a sequal I'll be angry. Leaving so much to the imagination like that is great, and releasing a sequal most likely will be a toss.
  5. Ok, our first meeting is this Monday at 8pm EST. Hope to see you all there!
  6. With IOs you can get S/L Defense to the Softcap, but beyond that your not very survivable. Why NOT take granite, honestly? It looks cleaner, outperforms, and leaves plenty of power selection room.

Agreed. Energy Aura needs its own replacement that better reflects the set.
  8. Edit that build with BBCode please.
  9. If Mu is getting Conserve Power then what will /EA Have instead of Conserve Power? Perhaps a similar power? Maybe an auto power increasing resistance? Maybe a +HP auto power? What could it possibly be.
  10. Very nice work there _Deth_. That's a great template for my build and, although mine wont perform as well, it will definately be along these lines. I've never seen anyone get that much out of an /Elec build.

EDIT: Considering Energize will have a 120 sec recharge and a 30 second duration, how much +Rech would that require to make perma?

Fire Ball and Melt Armor on a Scrapper would just be absolutely ridiculous.
  12. I wasnt really keep on focusing on Defense bonuses, but I may as well. How much defense to either of those totals can I end up with?
  13. My very first character on my own account and the first redside toon I got to 50 was my Elec/Elec Brute. Back in the day there wasn't much I could do with him. He couldn't tank, he felt like a melee dominator, I was barely even on Par with Fire Aura brutes. Well, with the change to Conserve Power (making it Energize) and the addition of Power Customiation, I've set into motion the wheels of redemption. My Brute is to get a respec and have his whole build reworked for maximum effiency. However, this character has been shelved for quite a while and I have no experience IOing him properly. Can I get some build advice? The only build quirks are that his travel power must be Fly (couped with Air Superiority, as I've learned to like it), but everything else is open to change.
  14. Lady Grey isnt hard, and most PuGs if build decently can handle it no problem. The only rough patch is the Hami fight. Alot of people wander off and aggro rikti or dont stay on the targetters target during this part and get picked off easily. I usually handle them easilt on my anCrab as the only melee'er, but then again, that's kinda cheating, since I ahve team buffs and the rest of the team is all DPS and Buffs/DeBuffs/Support, making my teams plow through it generally. A tank with Fly or a Jetpack is the only neccesity, and people PuG them with success all the time.

Like Grae said, use VU2009 and advertise there for people or specific AT's or Powersets you need and you should get enough people you need, then just /search and /t the gaps.
  15. The miracles are there for the fire and cold defense. I could definately get more performance out of granite armor with some franken-slotting. I took fossilize so I could stack holds on EBs and AVs with my teammates and along with Knockout Blow. As for salt crystals, I figured the Def DeBuff would be nice, as well as having an AoE sleep as a just-in-case button. I took it mostly because it seemed like a better option than the single target immobilize as a starter power on the way to fossilize and quicksand.

I'd take minerals, but it can't be active at the same time as Granite Armor.

EDIT: Mids doesnt seem to be showing recharge times or most enhanced values properly. With 96%+ recharge on Earths Embrace it should be at around 180-185 sec recharge, but it isnt showing properly. Is this a new game change or is it just Mids' being silly?
  16. It certainly is. I dont have much experence with these powersets, so if anyone with experience with these could give me some build advice that'd be great.

    Here's the build so far.

  17. Considering the effects of Quicksand, wouldnt enemies gathered around me try to run away? I'm working on a Stone/Super Strength Build and I'm not sure if Quicksand is worth it when Mud Pots is fairly similar. Would stacking them for a 90% run speed debuff be worth it?

    Server Qualities

Freedom is the most populated of the servers, and to my knowledge is the 'unofficial zone PvP' server. However, due to it's large population it attracts the highest quantity o new players and jerks, leading it to occasionally be known as Free-dumb. However, the the server isn't dumb, it's just the most populated.

Virtue is the second most populated server, as well as the 'unofficial roleplaying server'. The players here are generally helpful and seems to have suffered less from the AE farming generation than most of the other servers. Due to the roleplayers, there is much more powerset diversity, leading to players using powersets that arent always the best performing, leading to a higher percentage good players rather than good builds. However, this also means that due to said RP, players will occasionally gimp their own builds for character reasons. However, that tendancy is few and far between.

Justice is one of the friendliest srvers I've ever been a part of. I started here and found that most of the players are extremely helpful and friendly to new players. There really isnt much mroe to say about it than that. Except that I believe their method of Hami-Raiding is the safest and most efficient of them all, but this is due to the class dversity. Virtues Hami's have scrapper teams due to the incredibly large number of Scrappers, but, you make due.

Pinnacle is another server that lives past it's expectations. Yes it was the red-headed stepchild, but now the server seems to have recovered.

Wait. Does this mean that a group of level 1s can all go to the RWZ and start the story arcs there?
  23. Us dedicated crabs learn to love them crabbie legs. It's much better than a cape, that's for sure. Crabby legs are much manlier.
  24. Fire/Fire is fine. Slot some IOs and add some Defense and some +HP.
