  2. What was the direction you tired to take with the build? Just pure recharge?
  3. i didnt know wether you were willing to slot those kind of IOs so fair play
  4. The differences between the 2 ATs are somewhat blurred when both played by good players but i prefer the damage NAO from scrappers and the added risk of lower hp/res caps etc

I also am more of a scrapper at heart than brute, can get into scrappers much easier than brutes
  5. shame it cannot be paired with shields :S just have to live with my TW/WP

I remember asking in /help what's the point of making a scrapper or tank when brutes can do either of those roles better. The general consensus was that scrappers were better melee dps for teams (they don't need stuff hitting them to get fury) and tanks were only better at "extreme tanking". Am I missing something here?
Scrapper damage is more or less the same as brute damage as an average.

    HOWEVER

Scrappers get there damage when they want it, as they want it

Brutes have to build up to their peak damage, and in some cases can outdamage a scrapper (SS/ire/Soul)

Brutes have higher base hp and higher resistance caps vs scrappers 50% extra damage

I prefer scrappers for everything apart from SS/Fire/Soul brutes

errrr thanks? whatever floats your boat buddy, we all like different build directions I suppose :P
  8. higher base damage on scrappers means you get more out of AaO

that 50% difference in damage is pretty noticeable - every combo that can be done on brutes that is worth making it going to have better numbers on a scrapper

SS/SD brute is probably the only reason I would make a brute with SD even then I probably wouldnt as the DPS will be mediocre, only really good for farming - and i already have farmers

I went with BA's build with a few tweaks and I do perfectly well with 22% fire defense. The recharge proc in Shockwave comes up at least twice every mob, so HF can keep me alive if needed be. All my focus goes for killing stuff while chewing reds and keeping Follow-up 3 stacked.

It does, however, requires you to keep an eye on your green bar more often than not. But the extra recharge (and dmg) is completely worth it.

PS: Since we're at it: what do you guys use the tickets for? Bronze/gold recipes? What lvl? I usually go for salvage.
I wont tell you what pool I personally roll as that would be one more person competing for my moneiz but i can give you a nudge in the right direction.

You want to be looking at the market and looking at the prices of recent sales with how many are up for sale/bidding.
You then want to look at the pool drops and find a pool that has good recipes that sell for good money in it - the more the better.

Once this is taken into account most will assume silver pools are the best, BUT, silvers are very expensive ticket wise and then you must compare them to bronzes in terms of ticket to ticket comparison ie more rolls from bronzes VS the potential profits.

    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Bronze_Class_Recipe_Roll
    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Silver_Class_Recipe_Roll
    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Random_Rare_Recipe_Roll

Then you also have to think about time vs profit. Is it worth it to go with bronze and spend alot of time deleting worthless recipes? or maybe go silver for less deletions and more nice drops?

Then you can think about pools that have recipes in high demand AND that have really cheap salvage.

Have a good chew through that :P
  10. my ss/fire is 20% def running with rest recharge.

I dont use rage as im almost always damage capped from the amount of insps dropping from the sky

I combine everything into reds and I tear through 54s when im concentrating on my farming otherwise it takes maybe 3mins to clear an ambush (6 spawns?)

  14. This build does not need to pop purps to get to softcap, just make sure you have an alpha that boosts def (agility core paragon or nerve core paragon)

I would never run this build because it is gimped and farming it this way is inefficient but if you want to farm with no insps at +4x8 you have to be softcapped.

Its actually pretty good when it comes to small sized ambush farms
What is the attraction to farming maps that dont give all the mobs to cap tickets/map right at the start? Farming is maximising profits against minimising effort - ambush farms are perfect for ticket farming, I cannot see the attraction of gimping efficiency so you can farm without using insps

I'm also trying to figure out a Claws/FA/Fire build for fire farms. BA's build caught my attention but it might not be very user friendly on Atta's cave map. So I'm guessing you use a small map for this?

Let me know how does it performs, PR

    Thanks.
My build is tailored to front loaded ambush farms, minimum required survivability allows me to build for maximum damage output - I lean alot on inspirations.

I can tweak a build to incorporate pyre, would you still be interested in manoeuvres or do you lean on the 2 lucks to softcap?
  17. where are you pulling these from? emps and hero merits?
  18. dont bother farming missions with rezzing mobs, you get nothing from them

And I have a spines/fire/body scrapper running with a 1.5bn ish build i dont ever use it anymore as the lack of a taunt aura is extremely frustrating
