  1. Some I know, some I don't, some I've heard whispers of.

But you're right, Armeros. 7 does seem a bit limited, but I just wanted to see if it could be done.
  2. So I was reading this thread and it made me wonder.

Who would our Seven Legendary Guardianites be?

Any guesses on how this list would be and why?

    You'll never stop.

Wait, this is Ulli I'm talking about.

    D'oh!
  4. Personally, I would rather have a delay than have a major bug that screws up the game for some people. I've been working on a dominator on live, but I have not heard about that dom bug. I think I would have been peeved if my dom can't dominate.

The wife and I would definitely like to join you though.

I've had some Incarnate Shards drop in tips mishes in Beta. And they should drop in the Shadow Shard TFs, considering that we should be playing with our 50s.

I'm set at +1 at the moment, but will adjust if the consensus feel it's necessary.
  7. I'm considering 12 pm eastern as the start time to allow the west coasters an opportunity to join. Would that be alright?
  8. And all this time, I thought the janitor kept unplugging it to plug in his vacuum.
  9. I'm thinking about doing one Shard TF each Saturday, for the sake of getting the badges and the Incarnate Shards. On Nov. 20, I would like to do Dr. Q, just to get him out of the way. I'd like to gauge what interest there is to do this 18 kill-all mish TF, and what would be the best time to start.

My badger brute will be a rogue, so I won't be able to start it. I'm hoping this will not be an issue.

I really would like to find out if this will drop a lot of shards, considering the number of mishes that Q has.

note: I know I'm exaggerating about the 18 kill-all, but I've only been on it twice.

If I can't fill the team here, I will try on the Level 50 and Guardian channels.

If this is a smashing success, I will consider making a habit of this.

P.S. The frequency of this happening will depend on my personal work schedule.

But when everybody can do and have everything, wont the game be super dull and boring?
For some reason this quote reminded me of the double splash page (from DC's Kingdom Come) of the Metropolis skyline where there is practically several people flying around. Wish I could find my copy, scan it, and post it here as an example.
  11. I would probably be considered a consummate geek, since I collected comics and read sci-fi and fantasy books. I had played Dungeons & Dragons in the early days of the game. That was my first introduction to RPG games. I was into it as long as my small circle of friends were into it. But over time, people move on or lost interest, however, I still had the RPG bug.

I experimented with various games like Marvel Super-Heroes, DC Heroes, and Champions. I even tried Battletech. But they never seemed to hold enough interest for me. I guess it didn't help that I didn't have too many friends that were interested in the same things I was interested in.

Then I found SSI's Dungeons & Dragons computer games. That kicked a$$ to me. I found myself immersed in those games. However, those games didn't seem complete to me, even when SSI came out with the module creation software.

I found myself branching out to other computer games until I discovered Diablo. This was the next level for me. I could not stop playing this. Diablo II made my addiction even worse. But even then, it did not feel complete.

Then that one fateful day in 2006, my roommate gave me a birthday gift. It was the City of Heroes Combo pack (Heroes and Villains) that was packaged together exclusively for Sam's Club. I installed the game and started playing. Not knowing everything about the game, I decided to see if I could recreate one of my Champions PnP characters into this game. El Torito was my first creation. He was a MA/SR scrapper. The CoH version wasn't quite what I had originally created, but at least in this game, I could see how far I could go with him.

Since then, I have never let my account slip. Here I am with 15 level 50 toons and enjoying every bit of it.

There was a time I had considering ending my subscription, but then I started to make some friends in the game. If it weren't for those friends, I would have been gone 2 years ago. The community in this game rocks!
  12. My condolences.

I lost my mother 15 years ago to a sudden heart attack. It's never a good thing to lose a loved one suddenly. Best consolation I can offer is remember the good things with your mother.
  13. Are you trying to have animated flames?

If that's the case, then you may have to get your brute to level 30 to unlock the auras. You will get the option to have fire auras.

Your question is a bit vague, so that's the guess I'm making based on 'Living Fire' part.

This is an example of the fiery aura. The aura I selected was Fiery Eyes for my fire blaster.

The Fiery Aura options are Head, Eyes, Hair, Fists, Body, Fists & Hair, Fists & Eyes, and Fists & Head.

    I hope this helps.
  14. If you join the Guardian channel, you just might be able to find a team. The only drawback of that channel is you start out silence, and you need to send a /tell to the channel moderator (the mods will have a star next to thier names) to unsilence you.

For the most part, some people go to Grandville to go Trick or Treating, especially for leveling purposes. If you go there, just shout out in Broadcast that you're looking for a ToT Team. Someone is bound to pick you up. However, you have 3 more days to do the ToT. It shouldn't be hard to get all the badges. They come real quick.
  15. That's a tough one.

I see Green Lantern as a hybrid of two ATs: Controller/Blaster

I'd have to do some research on Mids to figure that out.
  16. Well, one solution would be to buy the Going Rogue box.

Another solution would be to make a backup of the .pigg file or even the whole City of Heroes folder. Backing up the folder would probably save you a whole lot of time.

There's actually something that happens? Dang, I'm tempted to hang out in Atlas just to see that happen. Unless someone has demorecorded it and put it on YouTube.

    I 19

Well, we got Rikti Invasions coming after the Halloween Event, so mebbe after the invasions.

But I'm not gonna hold my breath.
  19. Hmmmm, Countess Felicia (American Stone) and Ameros were 'virgins' in those runs.....

    Something to think about.
  20. I'm willing to give it another shot.

Unfortunately I don't have a suitable alt like a mind dom. The closest I have is a widow that can confuse. And she was on a successful non-MO team.

I still want to try with my badger brute though.
  21. The great thing about the Character Creator function is that you can make your toons wear whatever you want them to wear. There is absolutely no limit to what to wear based on your powers or even the name of the character. The only limit is your imagination and what's available in the game.

I am reminded of the movie, Mystery Men, where one of the characters, the Blue Raja (played by Hank Azaria), had a multi-colored outfit, but he did not have a single stitch of blue anywhere on his outfit.

So just because one has a cape does not mean it's a flyer and just because one doesn't does not mean it's grounded.
  22. HOT DAMN!!

    Finally got the MoCuda badge!!

    Thanks for organizing these things.

Next is the MoLRSF badge in the run organized by Ariel.
  23. If we can't get in, this is why.

Hopefully it will end on time.

edit: Oops, I didn't see your edit, Capa. Guess I should go to bed now.
  24. I've done the Vigilante Morality Tip Mish at lvl 50 twice now on 3 different toons. Both times I rescued Ghost Widow and she does nothing except follow me around. She even gets a bit pissy if I 'leave her behind' (Keep up, ya damned b****!).

Is she working as intended to just be there and stand around? I really don't have any real trouble doing the mish, but has she been set as a 'rescued hostage' mode?
