Damn CoH... didn't even stop to pick me up when I took that arrow to the knee.

Hmmm... really sharp talon gloves? Sounds fun.

Gratz, H. And look at that new forum title...it did work.

Finally played some Torchlight 2 this morning. As FX says, mindless clickfest but I'm enjoying it.

Gratz, DR and BS. 10 years is a good roadmark to hit.

ME3 was a great game. I loved it until the end. For me, though, the ending was SO bad, so out of step with the rest of the franchise, so incredibly stupid, it soured the whole thing for me. The only way they could have salvaged it for me was to go the indoctrination route. Even though I downloaded the extended ending, I still have yet to bother with it.

Blue.
No, red! -
Quote:Cuz it costs so much money to create an account for this game and log on to the forums for a few posts a day.
Why would NCSoft pay good money to quash efforts to save CoH? They are presumably not mustache twirling fiends who shut the game down for teh evuls. If the people over at Titan really think that, why are they even trying to deal with them at all?
Do I think a grand conspiracy is afoot? Nope. Do I think it highly probable that some individuals would take it upon themselves to troll a dying game's forums for a wide variety of reasons? Yes.

Quote:The reason that's all you're seeing is because the devs were all laid off. There's NOTHING that can be done about that. Some (probably most by this point) have already moved to other jobs with a few even being hired on at Cryptic.
You guys do realize I was being sarcastic there right? Probably not. My point is that you should be loyal to the dev team, not the game. Loyalty to a creative team will always be more rewarding and better in the long run than holding on to whatever it is they last worked on. You say this is a great community and great devs but all I see being focused on really is "how do we save the game" which in my opinion really doesn't matter.
And no, I'm loyal to my wife and on good days my immediate family. While I think the layoffs sucked a lot and won't ever give another dime to ncsoft because of the way this whole thing was handled, I'm not delusional enough to think that Paragon Studios will suddenly pop back into being. It's dead, Jim.
That leaves saving the game. IF a new studio is created, manages to purchase the IP and it hires 75% or more of the old dev team to come back, Awesome. They can get to work on CoH2 and I'll buy it opening day and play this one until they get it done. But to answer the underlying question, I am far more pissed off about a whole studio's worth of people getting canned than I am about the game being shut down. -

Quote:As do I, but posting history doesn't lie.
1. I find the stretching of the term "troll" to mean "anyone I don't agree with" annoying. -

Quote:Now where would they get that idea from? Perhaps from forum accounts created AFTER the shutdown notice that have been used for nothing but pathetic trolling attempts with every single post made since the account was created? (*cough PPCGunner cough*)
Over on the Titan Network, some folks (including TonyV and Ms. Lackey) are now speculating that there are NCsoft "moles" lurking everywhere who are actively trying to pour cold water on various "Save CoH" discussions (Source: http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index....,5275.180.html). So now we've got heightened paranoia (a la "Trust no one" like a bad Hollywood movie) AND strategic trolling to worry about...?
Surely such a thing would never occur. -

We could go with "Earthlings" but far too many of us revel in jingoism and religious fanaticism for that to ever catch hold.

Gotta laugh at the guy screaming against posting in a thread while posting in a thread.
Torchlight 2 for $20 on steam? Guess I'll grab it tonight. -
Technically, we're all a bunch of most hairless African apes.
